I agree with everything you said. For me Superman was always about hope, so the gritty version that Cavill did (while he did a great job) those movies just didn't feel true to Superman. I love that they used the theme song from the Christopher Reeves movies, that song is so iconically Superman. I'm always interested to see how the actor does with both Clark and Superman, because typically they are either good as one, but not both. Fingers crossed this is a good movie, so far so good!
The fact that it took this long for Krypto to appear in a Superman film is a crime. Where was he in the Christopher Reeve films? He was perfect for those movies.

We have Superman, Lois Lane, Krypto The Superdog, Lex Luthor, Guy Gardner (Green Lantern), Hawkgirl, Mr. Terrific, Metamorpho & it keeps going. Thankfully, this teaser trailer didn't show too much but enough to peek my interest 😉.

he looks like gen z clark kent. lol besides some of the movies i watched the old superman on nick at nite when i was little, and smallville but that's it. smallville is my favorite version of superman so i compare never versions to that, and lex in this looks like michael rosenbaum's lex to me. i just hope that they don't make him act goofy like other superman stories. i want him to be respectable, serious and smart. not like the one that was played by the dude from 2 and a half men in supergirl, or the one from the chrstopher reeve movies. they remind me of team rocket or emperor pilaf from dragon ball. lol
