    Great stuff Brother Dennis 🤗. That 30° North is an absolute monster!!! Awesome mods and customizing my friend. The channel bracing will definitely help fortify the chassis along with the upper rods 💪. This vid is perfect for guys looking into a true 1/5th. Appreciate the shout out Brother. Only did a shakedown run and kept breaking the pinion loose when I tapped the break because the mesh was too loose.... The slap. Of the big gears loosed it.... But I made some dremel adjustments and not I can do 21 and 20t pinions....the one I have is 21.....lobed the torque..... Might get er out tomorrow If I have time.

      @@stephanez8036 yes sir, had red on there.... The mesh was too loose because the motor mount was not allowing it to get close enough.... It's fixed now.... It was WAYYYY too loose so when going from forward and taping the break in the air or for slowing down it would just slap.
      This time I even drilled the shaft a bit where the Grub would sit💪 plus it proper close.... Like absolute no slop close! Even tighter than I run my 6s rigs but with these big gears they still spin perfect even when tight

    I have the V1 as well and did many of the same mods, including the wheel spacers and wheels/tires. I purchased the Stupid RC conversion kit and had the same issues with the dual battery mount on the left side. There simply wasn't enough room for the inside battery without pressing up against the steering bellcrank and the pinion guard. I mounted Outcast 8s battery trays similar to the way you mounted your trays and was able to keep all of my mounting screws in the chassis. I couldn't believe how hard the 7075 is...even with brand new drill bits. I use the Max5 and 56113/800Kv combo and couldn't be happier with the power and speed. I look forward to more videos on your beast as well as future upgrades. Thanks for sharing!

      That's cool we have similar setups, in my test tuns has gobs of power especially on the pinion I'm running 🔥🔥🏃🏃. Just added some much needed big boy fans for keep motor and esc cool.....your right this 7075 chassis is so tough... And even tougher with the mods I added. Definitely more to come with this beast!

    So I now have 2 of these v2 trucks both set up the same. DGI spacers method belted wheels. The stock servos say rated at 70kg yet not feeling like I’m getting total response of truck in grass etc. guessing it’s the width of belted tires? How’s yours snap around w/ your 65kg servo? I was thinking about going with a Agrc as there’s really no between I. Price of what’s on there and $275. I’ve had agrc servos before on my raminator that’s why I was leaning towards them

    • @3SonsRC
      @3SonsRC  6 месяцев назад +1

      Bro if you get that servo it is an absolute Beast I'm not so sure that there's any better servos out there than the one you're talking about pro-modeler does make some awesome big servos but I'm not even sure if they make them big enough to fit in a true 1/5 scale. A couple other things that you can check to see if you're getting the correct steering response is number one the servo saver make sure that it is tight enough and not to lose the others would be your gifts if the diff fluid is too thick it could affect steering response and even shock fluids can affect it a little bit if you've upped the shock fluid I kept mine stock good luck brother sorry for the run-on sentence I'm driving in my car and just talking to my phone

    Hey buddy I’m back again to take in some more of your experiences with/ this rig. What battery brand and size mih? You run 8s correct, is there any reason for 12s or have you ran this on it. adding those vitavons will be the death of that truck. remember, its not just the weight, its the energy from impacts that metal does not allow to flow through that kills things. plastic is a good conductor for impacts.

    • @3SonsRC
      @3SonsRC  Год назад +1

      Agreed brother, in most places it's better to keep it plastic,
      But with bigger sends I might have Knuckle and Bulkhead issues with bad wrecks.... We will see but with the arms and Turnbuckle ends still being plastic that helps, with bad shock towers hits busting Bulkheads stripping out, I hate replacing Bulkheads and heard some issues with heat in stock Bulkheads?
      I will weigh them and see as I go but I don't disagree with your logic.

      @3 Sons RC so the cups don't wear out quickly? I find that hard to believe. the angled shaft has always been Losi thing. They will wear the cups and shaft pin prematurely and power loss too. I hate gas, not because I don't respect it, but the smell and the transport I work out of my car sometimes in my car while I work, So for me it's more of a matter of convenience and Knowing that with electric cars they're lighter and able to do the types of tricks and big airs that I like to do but I still have a ton of respect for the gas powered RC I think they sound awesome but where I run my rcsa sometimes I'm not able to have a very loud car so everybody has their preferences and I appreciate your time and comment buddy
