A lot of people aren't understanding of what a falsetto voice is, sorta like justin timberlake, he sings in falsetto a lot, nick just has a much stronger falsetto. That doesn't have anything to do with his sexuality whatsoever.

ok, i am soo tired of this shit of making fun of nick pitera due to his inspirational vocal talent. is it not true that every person is different? Nick Pitera may be new, shocking, or slightly on the flamboyant side to some people, but that does not have any affect on his vocal talents. I unlike most am looking at this in a purely scientific way and realize that he has a very special set of vocal chords. it seems as if his vocal chords have the ability to constrict in a much tighter manner, and retract in a faster manner than most humans, giving the "shocking" appearance to his singing. Therefore he should be recognize for his hard work and talent, rather than discredited due to the shock and awe factor or due to peoples disbelief in his abilities.

It's called a falsetto. Many guys can sing this high. Look at the song Stayin' Alive. Those were all guys. It's still beautiful.
Nick is actually a Counter Tenor.. It's not just falsetto.. Mitch Grassi from Pentatonix is also a Counter Tenor.. There's a huge difference between a falsetto and what a range someone can sing in without using falsetto with each note sung.. There's not very many Counter Tenors to come by that is why they are sometimes the highest paid singers on Broadway! This is how Nick can achieve tenor notes with the higher notes on cue without using a falsetto. Remember falsetto is not technically a register range it's more of a technique used to reach one octave higher than the notes sung before.. This is how you can see he is what's called a Counter Tenor (range of notes that can be achieved without using falsetto) where falsetto is a technique used in conjunction of a person's range.. You can't start singing on a falsetto because you need a note to falsetto to from one note below. Another way of remembering what a falsetto is, is by whether or not it's is in vibrations or kind of "breathy" and is used by both men and women where only men can be considered Counter Tenor while females are considered Soprano. Men can only sing in Soprano range by using the falsetto technique.. Many people don't know this but hear a technical term such as falsetto and think it's considered a vocal range instead of a technique for achieving one (falsetto is only achieving one octave higher each note sung) octave..
