Part of the reason is the test is at an extreme. If you were to run the same test with an RTX 3060 then the framerates would be identical, and if the test was run with the 3080 at 1440p then the framerates would be very close. Hardware unboxed did a test with the 5700x against the 5600 and in some games the extra cores helped. However, the only time the extra cores helped is when the tests were run at 1080p with an RX 6950xt. At 1440p the 5700x and 5600 were a lot closer, and with an RX 6600xt the framerates were nearly identical. The last reason is the 9900k can clock a lot higher on all cores. As you can see, the i5-12400f is only clocks to 4.0ghz across all cores. The i5-12600k would beat the 9900k because it clocks to 4.5ghz across all cores.

Idk how u measure your mom's walking frame rate, but i pretty sure (like 99,99%) the frame rate in our life is inf, this is reality, not a game or smth which exist "frame rate" 3. 60fps will be big difference if u are a pro gamer, more chance to hit enemis if more frames, look smoother (don't say our eyes is 60fps, our eyes is INF fps, cuz that is biologycal, the problem is our brain, so u can easily train it with game, or become a jet plane pilot)
Future proof , you can always limit your fps to 60 , so what you say is buy a card which give us just 60 fps for now ? What about future games which is even more high demanding games than now
It is.... not to worry the thing is the 9900k is running at stock except with the RAM in XMP. The 9900k could pick up more frames if it was overclocked to 4.9ghz to 5.0ghz across all cores and the uncore is clocked to 4.9ghz.

i5 uses shitty and slow DDR5, while the i9 uses decent DDR4. That's the reason why the i5 is slower.
damn! i think its time for an upgrade from my 9900KF to i9
Why? If it's doing what you want it to, why bother changing it? I have an i9 myself and I don't see any need to change the platform anytime soon.
Am keeping my 9900k. Waiting for a stable DDR5 platform

why the witcher 3 drops FPS so bad ?
Because Red-Engine is horrible

Becouse higher cl in DDR5 with 12400F
Witcher 3 in Novigrad is very CPU, RAM intense. The little spikes on Frame time graph are telling me he is using XMP profile. Never use XMP profile. Tune all your subtimings manually.
i9-9900K is still stonge than i10 or i11...maybe, haha. But Im using i9-9900k right now, I don't feel it is weaker than new generation CPU even thoughr the Benchmark results is not polite to i9-9900k.

@@fabiusmaximuscunctator7390 sorry,I dont know what is Oced.
@@rager8730 OC(ed) = over clock(ed)
this doesn't make sense somebody explain please
@@m8x425 I'd say the 4.0 ghz with better ipc made them even

Легенда, которую мы заслужили.
There was very little progress from 3000s-8000s,
but since 9000, it's an amazing progress.
8 поколение тоже топ🎉
Здесь i9 быстрее на 900 mhz и на два ядра больше, при этом мощнее только на 10%
You need to test 12400 with the same ddr4 memory.. otherwise its invalid test.
So .. intel Renamed the 9900k?
Only 3 years older and here’s what you get

DDR5 vs DDR4 ? What about testing the 12400F vs 9900K with DDR4 in both configs ?
4000mhz vs 4700, make it both 5000 and will see whitch will be better
i5 12400 could easily go to 4.7GHz and destroy the i9 9900K. Don't know why Intel blocks overclock if any AMD CPU and board can overclock...
u cant overclock it it have lock multipler and overclocking bclk dont give u 700mhz and its bad idea anyway , u dont have clue what you talking about.

I'm now confusing, what is fps over 60 for? What a nice frying pan you have there. My mom just moving next to me just now. I think my mom move 60 frame persecond.
What?
tf you came under the wrong vid mate
I had a stroke
1. The pc can't be a fry pan when be under 70C for gpu and under 60 for cpu (frying tem is avg 300C)
2. Idk how u measure your mom's walking frame rate, but i pretty sure (like 99,99%) the frame rate in our life is inf, this is reality, not a game or smth which exist "frame rate"
3. 60fps will be big difference if u are a pro gamer, more chance to hit enemis if more frames, look smoother (don't say our eyes is 60fps, our eyes is INF fps, cuz that is biologycal, the problem is our brain, so u can easily train it with game, or become a jet plane pilot)
Future proof , you can always limit your fps to 60 , so what you say is buy a card which give us just 60 fps for now ? What about future games which is even more high demanding games than now
12400 could be better with ddr4
5200 is garbage like 2400 DDR4.
The good about i9 is OC

the thing is the 9900k is running at stock except with the RAM in XMP. The 9900k could pick up more frames if it was overclocked to 4.9ghz to 5.0ghz across all cores and the uncore is clocked to 4.9ghz.
