Lyrics: If who I am is what you see Then well Stay the hell away from me If who I am is what you see Then well Stay the hell away from me Away from me I’ll stay right here amongst the flames And I’ll sail across the endless sea Endless sea I saw you at the show You looked so damn good that night Made me wanna take you home Show you what I’m all about Yeah You took advantage of me You showed me things I could be You tried to make me believe You loved me more than I did You’d fight for what we done built So first you love me Then you hurt me Now you throw me away If who I am is what you see Then well Stay the hell away from me Away from me I’ll stay right here amongst the flames And I’ll sail across the endless sea Endless sea Away, fade away Away, away, away Away Oh Away If who I am is what you see Then well Stay the hell away from me Away from me I’ll stay right here amongst the flames And I’ll sail across the endless sea Away, fade away Away No, no, no, no, no, no No you’re not going anywhere
This is what I imagine Batman listens to after he is done with his missions. He drinks, recounts his actions vividly, and thinks about all the people he has had to fight, all the evil people he has had to kill… He drinks in the dark thinking about the suffering he and his family, and people like him go through, to make the world a better place. He cleans multiple massive lacerations and sutures them shut. He sets his own broken hand bones and fixes his broken nose by snapping it back into place. He pulls bullets from deep puncture recesses in his thigh, abdomen, shoulder, lower calf, and left forearm. He bleeds heavily and drinks very strong alcohol to help him endure the pain so that he can remain conscious during his homemade operation. At the end he puts into his own IV and connects to a blood volume repair pack. He licks his wounds in the dark, alone, with no one. Not even Albert. The only things that give him solace are his three dogs, his memories of Rachel Dawson, and the happy memories of his parents before their death. He quietly repairs himself, in body and spirit, readying himself, once again, to go out to protect the defenseless, the innocent, the pure, the elderly, the children… to keep them safe, from evil people, in this, often times, evil world. And scene.
This is honestly incredible
Lyrics:
If who I am is what you see
Then well
Stay the hell away from me
If who I am is what you see
Then well
Stay the hell away from me
Away from me
I’ll stay right here amongst the flames
And I’ll sail across the endless sea
Endless sea
I saw you at the show
You looked so damn good that night
Made me wanna take you home
Show you what I’m all about
Yeah
You took advantage of me
You showed me things I could be
You tried to make me believe
You loved me more than I did
You’d fight for what we done built
So first you love me
Then you hurt me
Now you throw me away
If who I am is what you see
Then well
Stay the hell away from me
Away from me
I’ll stay right here amongst the flames
And I’ll sail across the endless sea
Endless sea
Away, fade away
Away, away, away
Away
Oh Away
If who I am is what you see
Then well
Stay the hell away from me
Away from me
I’ll stay right here amongst the flames
And I’ll sail across the endless sea
Away, fade away
Away
No, no, no, no, no, no
No you’re not going anywhere
This is what I hear Batman playing while driving away from Rhas Al Ghul, Talia and Damien.
