It's because "hits" like Want U Back are scientifically proven to be more popular because they repeat the same lyrics over and over again. Which people like more so therefore they top the charts, and a song like Siren usually won't top the chart.
Because they "engineer" songs that are popular to get stuck in your head. They're produced that way, so when a song like this comes out - they don't have as much publicity and are spread by word of mouth from fans more than anything else.

In this video she is talking about being in a relationship with a criminal, and how they always have to be on the look out for the police. It's also showing how an innocent child is growing up in this environment. Cher burns the evidence so that he won't go to jail, and be able to come back to Cher and his child to live together happily. They're always on the run, and she can't take it anymore.

This is honestly the deepest, most emotional song I've ever heard or seen from her. This song was so raw, so was the music video. The music video for "Sirens" premiered on Lloyd's Vevo account on 29th April 2014. In the video, Lloyd plays a woman whose husband has become involved in drugs, showing the effect that drug use can have on a family. While Lloyd's character is seen caring for the couple's young daughter, Police raid the house, arresting her partner. Lloyd then carries the evidence through the house and burns it in a barrel in the garden, soon returning to the house where she is greeted by her young daughter as they sit together on the floor. In the "Behind the Scenes" footage, Lloyd reveals that the story of the video is inspired by a similar event from her childhood, and that the young daughter in the video represents Lloyd herself at a younger age.[9] In an interview after the premiere, Lloyd revealed that the story behind the video retells an event from her childhood in which her father was arrested when she was five years old.[10]

Daisy Flower Her father was a drug dealer. When the cops raided her home in the video, she resembles the little girl and they cops REALLY did raid her house. She sings about how she remembers the sirens that came because of her father's addiction to drugs and such.

It's been 6 years since she released this music video and its still damn better than most songs released through the years. This song is just so emotional and beautiful on a personal level. Its like a part of Cher's soul was poured out to us through this song. The fact that this relates to her personal life makes me want to hug young Cher. Dang this quarantine is making me emotional, like big fat ugly crying.
