I don't know why more people don't k-swap this car. I think it compliments the chassis perfectly. Nice car.
my guess is that it's probably down to the cost of the swap. But yeah, the engine and the chassis work perfectly together
"E85, meth injection, motor swap..." for 400 hp. That kind of power is easily doable from the 2ZZ on 91 with a built motor. Most people are satisfied putting $10k into the motor to upgrade the s/c to a TVS1320 with A/W IC and get 330 whp with stock internals
pspencer127 how long does the 2zz last on that power level tho, and how much that it cost to be rebuild if the engine let go. K20 are evrywhere.
ichi husni a built 2ZZ is very durable and can be done for $6k easy. 2ZZ are everywhere. Most people keep the motor stock, run a better S/C and get 330 whp on 91. Then, if the motor lets go, it’s like $2500 to replace.
pspencer127 k20 is a better motor easier to make power and reliability is better as well

The K20 engine took that car to another level
This car is the perfect example of the range you get out of a k20. If you are a beginner driver and you are learning, then an all motor k20 is perfect for you. The more experienced you get and the more money you get, you can slowly make the k20 into an absolute monster. From 200hp beginner all the way to 1000hp turbo fire spitter. IMO it’s the best thing Honda has come out with in the history of the company. My only wish is that the S2000 came stock with k20

Absolute dream ride particularly for Aussie roads ( ok apart from speed humps and potholes 😅) Just such a quick little car for tight roads.

@RR PLAN C My guess is that it's because the K20 is a newer/more efficient engine than the Rover K-Series, so it passes emissions

Hi. He answered this one below. It’s because he can’t pass the MOT with a swapped engine. So he badged the engine as a Lotus so that he wouldn’t raise questions ;)

K20 head, k24 bottom, CNC THE HEAD. forged piston and rod, cometic head gasket and tough piston rings, double valve spring, s2000 oil pump, upgrade clutch, gt35r turbo, boost to 22 psi and blow all the elise/EXIGE + Evora with toyota engine.
Guarantee!
Forget the Elise competition you would blow up GT3s and 488s with that setup.
Clearly this gentleman has a fine taste in cars.

6:28 The only thing i have against this build, Is the Lotus Badge on top of the Honda engine. The Engine is Honda, The Car is Louts. Most people will think the engine is a Lotus engine. Besides that, I like everything else about the car. This Channel is cool. I just subscribed

This is the perfect combo! Nice looking lotus Elise,Super light weight,rear wheel drive,rear mounted engine,and of course the power of a Honda k20a with a little bit of boost! I could only dream of owning something like this! I’m good with my 96 cobra,my 2001 Integra Type R swap,and my build in process 1993 civic coupe that I’m aiming to hit 600whp or more and awd conversion.
Also did you get offended when he talked about BMW’s or something because you gave me and I’m pretty sure gave him an awkward vide afterwards. Couldn’t help but go to your channel and notice you had a lot of bmw content after watching this video and his comment about 1000hp BMW’s lol
It's a known fact on this channel that I'm a BMW fan. But I never get offended if someone doesn't like bimmers or if they say something bad about them. That's just childish.
Tobias is a top bloke and he made some pretty valid points in this video. And I agree it's pointless to give cars more power when you also increase the weight as well.

Toyota 2ZZ-GE engine is just as reliable, just as powerful, better gearbox and cheaper to fix.

Not very clever replying in Swedish. Had to use Google Translate to get some understanding of what you wrote. From the few videos I've seen on your Instagram. You mix the colors in a container on the floor. You take a spoon from a dirty plastic bag that's also on the floor and mix it. Imagine any contamination in the color powder. That will eventually make it's way onto your customers vehicles. I wouldn't call that professional at all. And in this RUclips video you claim to have a blender, as in an actuall machine that mixes the chemicals for you. So why do you mix it on the floor... The whole story is just rubbish. I don't care what you do, but I think it's nonsense fooling people into an illusion. Eventually the truth will overtake you, it always does. Good luck with the conjure.
Aha sorry, it was because half the videos you liked where in Swedish so I assumed you are Swedish. Aha ok what I mean is that I have a blender who makes the products, so no I do not mix antyhing my self regarding the ingridients, except for the color and scent and do all the botteling my self. Normally I do not do it on the floor but yes in the video it was that. Best regards

There's no right or wrong here. It's the owner's preference. Watch the video and you'll see why he likes that combination

@@culturebreath369the k20 has more tuning/power potential compared to the 2zz. It's more reliable also. The only downside to a k20 swap might be the weight of the engine. It's a tad heavier than the 2zz.
