I served as counselor to many music concerts. No one had the impact of Mylon. He is sincere and it resonates. He was telling his story through music. Note: Christianity would do a lot better if chrisitans stepped outside the building and went out to the people - like Mylon.

My wife and I were dating in those days, and we along with our friends road up and down the highways to see Mylon and BrokenHeart, Petra and all the wonderful Christian rock of the times, every chance we would get. The presence of the Lord was so powerful at those concerts. I will never forget it. I just realized this is David Payton's channel...you were such a big part brother, your ministry helped form me as a Christian. I am a pastor for twenty years now.

I was saved at one of his concerts in April of 1986 at a small high school gym oh, that was the last thing I expected to happen that night, but I said yes to Jesus after Milan shared his testimony. I wouldn't trade that night for anything else on Earth. Salvation by and through Jesus Christ, it changed my life I probably wouldn't even be here today if I had not have said yes to Jesus that night in that old high school gym. I've been in ministry for many years music ministry writing songs singing doing solo work throughout my area. No I've not made it to the big stage but I've been on His stage telling everyone about Jesus since that night. Thankful for Mylon and broken heart oh, it was the first contemporary Christian music I ever heard, God use those songs to get me through a lot as a twenty-six-year-old had very little church in Bible to that point. I have stayed in God's word every since.

the biggest reason that many refuse to accept Christ are the self-righteous Christians that put roadblocks in the way of them, God created music and we should never yield any ground to Satan.

It would appear that brother Douglas Cosby has a religious spirit. He loves to quote scripture when it supports his misguided perceptions, but denies the power thereof that giveth life. The letter killeth but the Spirit gives life. Revelations tells us that believers over came the enemy by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony... not quoting the Bible. Jesus had to deal with many that were bound by religious spirits. It appears Mylon does too. Many of you were reached by Mylon's testimony, and not by brother Crosby's style of Bible banging. Doug, give it a rest and stop undermining what God has done.

James if want to throw away your bible because you love worldly music it is free country, but bear in mind it is God's Holy Word and the Lord Jesus Christ said Matthew 4:4 .... Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
(we need each and every word to live by, not just the ones you like James, note also II Tim. 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
(All scripture James not the ones you like, "all scripture" - I hope you read the bible every day and you read the bible God has used for the last 400 in American history to bear revival and great missionary movements - the King James bible, not these new modern cut up so-called bibles)
Get in an Independent baptist church James and grow in the Lord, Jesus is coming soon stop running with the world if you are a child of God.

      Douglas Crosby
You should be ashamed questioning other people's walk with Christ as lesser than your own.
The fact that you recommend one specific church, speaks volumes. Christ is found in His Word, not in only one denomination. Paul spoke out against denominations in fact.
Why would you support just the KJV? Have you read the history of King James? Did you know that many modern translations are actually more true to the source material?
Baptist Church only. KJV only. Baptist music only. What you speak of is not Spiritual freedom, but rather Legalism and hypocrisy and borders on cultism.

    • @Papaw02
      @Papaw02 9 лет назад

Matthew 7:18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit.
Thousands have come to Christ through Mylon's teaching and music. This is "good fruit", is it not? How can good fruit, come from a bad tree?

    • @Papaw02
      @Papaw02 9 лет назад +2

"You shall be known as my Disciples, by your love for one another"
Your hateful spirit, and bashing of other Christians, is not "love", it is not Christ, it is "religion". You mention Baptist more than you mention Christian. Get out of that cult, and seek Christ yourself.

    • @douglascrosby5100
      @douglascrosby5100 9 лет назад

      James Gibbons
Strange set of standards in your mind James
It is much more loving to warn a man he is going down the wrong path in life and mocking the bible, than to call him names which you seem to not know the definition of "cult", "legalism" even baptist or Christian can you define them with your bible?
Wake up James face it - you do not know the word of God, you do not know bible Christianity in the historical sense.
You spend to much time listening to long haired men showing their chest hair singing to please the flesh.
My love first is for God and His Holy word - not this world filled with sin and devils.
I hope with all my heart you will come out of this watered down unbiblical so-called Christianity and get in the right kind of church and grow in the Lord or get saved.
you never once have answered the questions James
      answer the question
James what does God meaning by "not be conformed to this world"? (Romans 12:1,2)
What does God mean in (James 1:27) for Christians "to be unspotted from the world".
What does God mean when His children are commanded to "live a Holy life". (1 Peter 1:16, 17 )
What does God mean when His says we as God's people are to live and walk in paths of righteousness. (Psalm 23:2)
Do you believe the bible or not - God does tell His children how to live in this world of sin and devils.
I am one who believes and does preach the gospel to lost sinners to be saved continually, if you are lost please trust Christ and get it right. If you are saved and believe the bible answer the questions
      James
Don't get mad, just get right

    Oh...and one more for Douglas...
    Psa 27:6
Then my head will be exalted above the enemies who surround me; at his sacred tent I will sacrifice with shouts of joy; I will sing and make music to the LORD.
    Psa 57:7
My heart, O God, is steadfast, my heart is steadfast; I will sing and make music.
    Psa 108:1
fnA song. A psalm of David. My heart, O God, is steadfast; I will sing and make music with all my soul.
    Eph 5:19
speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord,
Since when do you get the power to decide what music is in a mans heart...what is from his spirit ...or not I thought only God has that say.... do you ever sing in church and if so how is that different? ...if not then you are out of line with scripture. If a man gives glory to God ...praises God ...preaches salvation and has people give their lives to him...I'm sorry how is that worldly???? just sayin !!!!

    • @Papaw02
      @Papaw02 9 лет назад +2

Douglas only believes HIS kind of music, approved by HIS church, is spiritually relevant. So sad to see someone so bound by legalism, when they could be Free in Christ instead.

    "I Will Rejoice"
by Mylon LeFevre & Broken Heart
    While travelling on
    this straight and narrow road
    I must press on
    to obtain the goal.
    He guides my steps and
    keeps me straight in line.
    This crown of life
will soon one day be mine.
    So sings my soul
    and lifts my voice
    He makes me glad
    I will rejoice
    So sings my soul
    and lifts my voice
    He makes me glad
    I will
    I will
    I will rejoice
Sometimes my eyes do not see Him.
Sometimes my ears do not hear Him speak.
If I fall He'll help me stand up again and
    When I call
He lifts me with His hand
    So sings my soul
    and lifts my voice
    He makes me glad
    I will rejoice
    So sings my soul
    and lifts my voice
    He makes me glad
    I will
    I will
    I will rejoice

However, though Alvin is gone I really liked them together especially the "Road to Freedom" album. Keep rocking for Jesus Mylon!! He has shown you favor! (But does it hurt to play any of the old stuff w/ Alvin??)
