      He was probably prescribed them by a doctor first, then, became dependent upon them so sought them out elsewhere. Doctors are too quick to prescine stronger than needed pain relievers. If a doctor offers you opioid-based pain relievers, say 'no'!. My oncologist offered me some early on after my cancer diagnosis even though I had no pain at all. I was flabbergasted. 30% of cancer patients die of drug overdose.

      It is hard to feel bad, and feeling bad is not working. Tough love worked, but then when the left in America decided to pretend drug addiction was a disease, things got very bad. This is 2022, if you are on drugs, then you're a complete idiot, and I do not feel bad for you. Calling drug addiction a disease is maybe the dumbest most absurd thing ever said. Maybe here is a thought, shut the border down, stop letting drugs and bad people flow across, just a start.

      Donna…It could have been accidental. I was told that, sometimes, people feel so good when they get high that they think they’ll feel even better when they get higher. They have no intention of overdosing. They just don’t think because they are too high to think rationally.

    • @tinam761

      @@malkaz9167 also … when a person has been sober for a period of time, people can over dose by using the same amount they have used in the past - the body can’t handle it. Unfortunately, this is a common way people die from overdose - a relapse.
      Two, the pills could have contained more drugs in them than he expected there to be and that caused an overdose.

    • @annab1208
      @annab1208 Год назад +1

      @Carleen yes, but if you think you are taking a prescription Xanax and it has deadly fentanyl hidden in it, Or replacing it unknowingly- it’s murder not an overdose of Xanax and that’s what this was according to the drug panel from the autopsy. I don’t like addiction any more than anyone else but this stuff needs to be identified separately - it’s an important distinction.

      @Carleen you are most ignorant when it comes to drugs. Most young adults are doctor addicted. Wisdom teeth taken out, car accidents, motorcycle accidents, varies surgeries, many were doctor prescribed. Look up the fentanyl overdose UTube from Texas of moms describing the overdose death of their children, nearly all were doctor addicted. By the Grace of God, that didn’t happen to you. Addiction sucks. And it doesn't just affect the individual going thru it, it affects their loved ones too. I should know, I am 7yrs sober. Methadone saved my life. I would either be in jail or dead without it. For a lot of addicts Quitting cold turkey is not an option, I did not.have the strength or willpower to follow thru. I understand why methadone is so controversial, it's basically trading one drug for another. But in these last 7 yrs I have not had to risk my life to get the pills I needed not to withdrawal anymore. I have the life I had before using back. I was on the verge of losing everything I hold dear in my life. My husband, my kids , my parents. While using I was either sick from withdrawals or actively searching for my next fix and that is not a life for anyone. To parents and loved ones of someone you love battling this addiction. I say this. Love them and love them hard let them know you love the person not the addiction. Talk to them, I know for me I thought I was hiding it pretty well but everyone knew. I was to scared to admit I was an addict but once realized they knew it made it easier to get the help I needed. I just didn't know how to tell them and your loved one may feel the same way. They keep it a secret because they are too afraid you not loving or caring for them anymore and all its gonna take is for you to say is I know you're an addict are you ready to get some help that's how it happened for me. But also remember they will quit when they're ready and not a moment sooner. Sorry this is so long. My prayers go out to the Wagoner family and to and to everyone else that is going thru this horrible addiction.

    Jack Wagner I looked you up with a Google search, curious about your acting credits after watching Falling for Christmas. I was very sorry to see the report about your son's untimely demise, having lost my own son in the same fashion at 23. I just wanted to say that i know how absolutely hard that is. Hang in there sir.

    Playing with Fentanyl is like playing Russian roulette!! I truly blame the pain management clinics, which started out in the 90s with OxyContin for the reason why our country is in the shape it’s in with all the drug addiction. I’m going to have to do some kind of a study on that to prove my point. My condolences to the family.

    Our kids are vulnerable, do we really, really give them attention they needs or we just too busy with what we call our business, forgetting that our loves ones and especially our kids are our no 1 business. Can’t juge. We are all on the same boat. Let us show compassion to those who are struggling for any kind of addictions.

    If your fighting with depression; know that it WILL get better but you have to do omething about it yourself!! One thing is plans, make plans for tomorrow, next weekend, next summer..write your plans down. Clean up your home, by cleaning it you clean a part of your brain at the same time! Exercise, don't sit still on your sofa, that makes anyone depressed. Go out for long walks, run, join some group, your brains need movements! And stop eating sugar and start a healthy diet, to feel better. Pack your things, move to another city to get a new start. Start charitywork, find people who feel worse than you and do your best to help them! Go to a doctor, start taking medicine for your depression but start with a small dose, you might not need a big dose. There's a meaningful life waiting for you out there, maybe not nearby but maybe you have to start your healing in the exact spot that you are in right now.

    What GOOD does this do to set up yet another scholarship? I mean really what GOOD? There is not really much good that can be done yet if YOU Jack Wagner or even Christina would get your asses out there an start talking about the pain you feel or the desire you have to see people (CHILDREN) make better choices then MAYBE just maybe you could reach 10vor 20 hearts of younger people an they would make a difference. THINK ABOUT IT. 🤔
