You could. But the problem in the USA is that it could/would become a business. Meaning, carbon fiber cars, hydraulic suspensions, disc brakes, high performance tires. .... you know it's true, because they did exactly that with mountainbiking snowboarding and windsurfing.
@@amigochevere5217 In the United States, the lawyers and insurance companies prevent such event from happening. Here, you would have to have guard rails between the cars and the fans.
My friend called me to tell me you guys were starting. I live close enough to send my drone to watch. Had a beautiful view of you coming down San Miguel but it didn’t record due to operator error. Ok…I was so excited I neglected to hit record.
Great content gentlemen. I AM INTRIGUED, love the uphill challenges. If you would like some design options for your cart I think I have a unique option you could try. Freebie question for all, engine is a no no, but what about flywheels? That's in my design, but it not the best part because it's questionable.
Loved the vids lads, did well on that uphill rush haha. Colour change was, unexpected, but a good vibrant mix of colours, stands out more. dunno much if all about this type of racing, but have you got any improvements or 'mods' to be done to the car or 'kart' to make it smoother? maybe some High speed grease on bearings, adding weight and such?
What distinguishes a fast car in this from a slow car? Better bearings? Better streamlining? Smarter tactics? A stronger pusher and driver? None of them seem to have any suspension, so I'd guess that the rules don't allow it. It also seems like a very low-intensity sport - one where nobody cares all that much who wins, the winner probably doesn't get much more than a bottle of booze (if that much), and it's primarily an excuse to throw a big party.
@@Baribrotzer the amount of overtakes and on camera speed, 1st or 3rd person. even if its a bottle of booze and a party, I'm sure some people enter this and are always tinkering around, trying to get the best out of their karts. like any form of laid back racing, there's always those who will strive to be the best.
Outwardly there must be some sort of basic equipment rules (i.e. no fairings or really obvious aero aids) but I betcha there's more speed to be gained from being more aero within the confines of the nose cone and its slipstream, or adding more mass (bigger pusher?), but then ya got the uphills to contend with, and that's probably why all these guys are gassed at the end of the race, lol.
@@nplus1watches35 More mass would mean bad cornering, though. Seems like you'd have three factors to play with: 1. Rolling resistance - better wheel bearings, firmer tires. Also lighter weight, (which would make it easier to push in the pushing segments). 2. Roadholding - low CG, movable mass (the pusher climbing from side to side, as in sidecar racing), suspension (what about using leaf springs as chassis parts?). 3. Aero - ties in with lower CG
Watching from the UK 🇬🇧 amazing sport looks like great fun .
Im loving this downhill sport. I wish we did this in the states.
IKR?! Low cost, grass roots, chill competitors, speed bumps....what's not to like?!?

That uphill run is no joke
What a tough race you guys did great tough hill!!
Love to watch you race. How about showing us how your car is built.
Great racing guys!! I love these videos.
This is amazing, thanks for the footage. We could never have this much fun in Australia without alot of rules and safety precautions 👍😉
There are rules , what you guys lock over there are mountains xd

Thumbs up means, there is a huge bump in the road, coming up.
Keşke Türkiye'de de böyle yarışlar olsa.
Viva Ecuador
Lo máximo. saludos
A lighter kart is easier to push uphill . A lower body profile is more aerodynamic & allows a higher top speed . Muy Bien ! Gracias de Texas

You can see how hard it is running uphill at very high altitude.

In an alternate reality where everything is blue instead of red ;)
Tienen planos de diseño? Han registrado velocidad máxima?

Ganooo Peruuuuuu carajoooo.
Uphill sections and speed bumps in a downhill gravity coasting race is absurd.
vive la difference!! a unique course. uphill bit really tested the teams
Qual o país é essa corrida?
Getting passed going up, hill??
Muito massa! Vocês precisam de melhores equipamentos de segurança! Joelheira, cutuveleira, etc...
Why are they trying to race in a place where the roads are level and uphill????????????

Hi my bro. What is sports name?
I think it's soapbox racing, but not sure. The soapbox racing I've seen is one person per vehicle. I see #soapbox listed as a hashtag.
Subida os cara morreu já kkk
So who won? Lame!
555 muito fraco
And the helmet wasn't tied and he also had space for his cap inside it (limited brain size?). Insane, but looks very funny
