Gerard is the perfect phantom. He has that edgy singing style that the phantom needs. It helps you understand the pain and anger behind his singing and that's perfect. He's my all time favorite phantom. Bravo Gerry
THE most delicious Phantom ever. I love Michael Crawford and Sarah Brightman because I grew up with that version of this amazing musical and I will always cry during certain scenes after all these years no matter what who I'm watching or listening too, but Gerard is so sexy as the Phantom and does an amazing job with Emmy Rossum (especially seeing she was so young at the time). Needless to say, I have the DVD and I watch it as often as my tissues permit.
omg!! that scene that he talks about with the song masquerade when he's sitting in front of the monkey...is sooo touching. i cry EVERY time i see it! I totally forgive the phantom...he has such tender moments in the movie that you can see that he's human and searching for love and companionship but he doesn't trust the world to give him want he wants...so he decides to take it by force any which way necessary.
You know what would be funny? Seeing Phantom-Gerard and Gerard-Gerard in the same room talking to each other. Gerry talks about Erik likes he's a living person.
Of course we have to have the same favorite parts. MY heart breaks EVERY time he sings in the film. I wish Emmy would do an interview talking about hers and gerrys kiss!

I didn't know Gerard was the phantom and I was always thinking..ooh he's so cuuute....then later on in the film I started hearing a bit of a ...scottish? accent then I finally realized it was him haha. I've always seen Gerard in a lot of movies and never really felt anything for him...but after this movie...I think I'm in love with Gerard, or I think mostly just his character :P

If the 2004 cast ever did Love Never Dies, they should do it in 2014 cuz it'll also stay faithful to the story... 10 years later!! :) and the actors will be naturally aged :p

My respect for him just went up tenfold! I had no idea that he didn't even train for this sort of thing (singing.) That's amazing that he sang like that. I never really like the movie, I felt like it wasn't filled with passion that you could get from watching it in person on a real stage, but it was good. Compared to other movies, it was still ok.
