Not sure how this came up on my feed but I'm glad it popped up. A blind podcast would be a cool idea for us to see what blind/visually impared people go through on a daily basis and challenges they've gone through and how they over came them. Good stuff.
Glad you found me and enjoyed the video! By the way, my podcast/channel is basically what you’re describing as I interview people from the blind and disability community. So if you dug this video, you might enjoy more of my content 😎
I haven't finishing watch yet but this is such a great episode! I also went to a blind camp in New Jersey. Shout out Camp Marcella! We had a lot of different activities and classes but it would have been so cool to have a guest like you teach a cool skill. I think it's awesome that you got to share this experience with the campers. A note for those struggling in school with accommodations in the USA I highly recommend contacting your state Commission for the Blind. You will get assigned a counselor and they will come to your school and work with you and your teachers to get you the best accommodations. For college I recommend contacting your campus disability services. They will help you throughout your college career. The Commission will also usually pass you along to a college oriented counselor to help you with the transition and the commission for the blind will help you after college with finding and keeping a job along with other resources you might need.
