Seeing such level of... idk... i just have no words how describe this... Who build this is just insane, pure mad scientist, evil genius, who are you???... I watched this video and my jaw was on the floor from the start to the end. Im playing with fant mod about a month, but i dont even thinked that this was possible... (sorry if my english is bad, i just have too much emotions to use translator, my head just exploding...) (edit): 00Fant and people like you keeping SM alive, you and other do so much more than entire Axolotl studio... May be soon mods will add more content than the game itself have )) And i just remembered... There are mods for entire Lua programming. With them you can build such structures that will blow anyone's mind with their functionality.
Hey buddy, The mad scientist comment made me laugh 😆 I am just a user of fantmod that wanted to share some of my creations with the community. If you are bored, I have plenty of other videos showing my creations to check out (including the fantmod trailer). Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment man 😁
Hello there. Fantastic build again. What is your process? How do you find ideas, and how do you implement them in SM? Thanks a lot. Also do you have tips for building like you?
Hi there, thanks for taking the time to watch the video, glad you enjoyed it. My process is as follows: -Choose a core idea such as Farming, mining, transport, crafting -Build a functional prototype of any size to work out logic -Build a compact version with logic blocks as close to where they will connect as possible to avoid spaghetti headaches (use blockedit tool) -Minimize button and switch inputs from the player to keep it easy to use, you can automate most stuff with planned out logic and a bit of experimentation. -Add aesthetic pieces, the projector block is great for this as well as having knowledge of which parts fit together cleanly. (This comes with time playing, I have created 100s of builds that do not feature on my channel) -Add any extra functions I can in the aesthetic layer without taking up additional space if possible -Testing after every step I've mentioned as well as saving multiple versions on the lift (in case i mess up or want to go back and add some logic) This will help you waste time in the long run -I usually end up remaking the entire build after I've finalized the design and functions before i post it to the workshop. Experiment with parts and learn how to build compact modular logic parts (such as a steering, hovering, fuel, weapons etc) then save these as blueprints for your future builds. Colour code logic blocks that need to connect together between multiple blueprints and keep your blueprints organized. I don't have any suggestions on how to improve your builds without seeing them. I've just played the game a fair bit and worked it all out (mostly) myself. Also read the descriptions of the parts so you understand all their functions. If you're unsure how to use a part then experiment with it, and if you're 100% the description does not explain something ask kindly in the fantmod discord for help. (However fant has done a good job at explaining all the functions of his parts so make sure you do not miss read something before asking. Try using the search feature on discord to see if someone has already asked any questions you may have. No idea if that's of any help, sorry for the short novel 😀👍

Hello, very cool, you build, I saw under one of the previous videos in the comments you wrote that if builders in that field are better than you (in the field of transport from your videos), could you give the names of their channels? and by the way, can you record a video on how to import buildings from creative to survival?
I don't have a list of channels, sorry to disapoint you but i don't really watch or follow any scrap mechanic content or creators. So I don't have anyone to send you to look at it. I meant more that I would imagine theres tons of people better at creating stuff than me.
It always hurts me to see one of your videos because it's a glimpse of how great scrap mechanic could have been with better devs. If modders took over the development, the survival campaign would have underground, underwater, airborne and space chapters by now. Or at least would be getting there. It's so sad. Imagine having to build vehicles to fight giant bosses. Imagine having to build a giant aircraft or boat to move some huge containers from an oil rig or something. Maybe a big survivor settlement where they give you quests. There could even be a racing league at the city or something. It sucks how many great things that you can think of would fit in this game so well. Fant mod is great, but mods can only go so far.
Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment. ❤ I totally agree that scrap mechanic has so much potential and we more than likely never see it evolve to the extent we would like. Scrap junkyard mazes with tons of verticality, Large bot building factories and cities, Setting up trade routes with cars or trains to npc camps and rare parts found through exploration and boss fights. Space would be a really cool edition but I would be ecstatic to see any of the suggestions you made implemented. Without mods I would have given up on this game a while ago, I'm both optimistic and skeptical about chapter 2. Hopefully we hear something from Axolot soon (This year) before everyone, including myself completely loses interest 🤞
I used logic blocks, direction sensors, and unit facers and probs a few other parts which ive forgotten about. I used the fant block editor tool to hide them all inside the drone 👍
@@CloudsCreations that's actually cool, because in self proprelled tanks I created there's 300+ logic blocks and it's hard to fit them inside of it, around like 2/3 of tank's inside space is just logic.
@@_Niktar_ Block editor is a tool that can move blocks inside creation, you can just place 20 logic blocks and with help of block editor you can move/stuck/glitchweld them to 1 block (but they will keep their weight)
