@@Motorcycle_Man I pulled the neutral switch in the center console but I’m still not able to get the rear bolts due to them being in a tight spot. I try turning it but it locks after moving just a bit
Well you'll just have to install it the best you can , as long as everything feels normal when you drive then you're all good. If there is excessive vibrations then you'll have to flip it
Hi, I have a question? My old drive shaft doesn't have the yellow marks. Is there a problem if it doesn't have them and I install them like that? Thank you
If it doesn't have them, you'll just have to install it. And as long as everything feels fine after installation you should be good It's something feels off then you'll have to flip it
Hello The driveshaft on my 2011 jeep cherokee went bad and today i was quoted by the shop 1200 dollar just for the part plus 400 for labor Is that a good price For the part??
@pablocervantes7264 If it's original mopar quality, Then yes unfortunately it costs around that much... That's how much this drive shaft costed my customer... The whole exhaust has to come down... so honestly it's probably an accurate price.
I bought one today from a 2015 with 75k miles $145. Shop around junk yards and get one with lower mileage that’s what I did because mopar wanted 1300 and a secondary shop could get it for 750
I have a clicking and popi g sound come from under the car, I thought it was a wheel bearing but when I lifted the jeep and moved the wheel the drive shaft is kinda making a pop, I crawled under it tried spinning it by hand and I can move it back and forth is this a sign of it being bad?
@Motorcycle_Man I can remove the front and drive? I'm 100% ready to remove this. With just the front do I need to drop the exhaust? Little background of my skills if i can take it apart I can 100% put it back together. I've down full engine swaps. I just am struggling with the diagnostic of this. As I thought it was a wheel bearing pull it apart it was fine and ended up changing the cv
@IlikeApplePie4life5 yes if u pull the front driveshaft you will on have rear wheel drive. I'll be honest with you. I have not removed the front drive shaft before, so i'm not sure if the exhaust needs to come down or not.. I had this same exact problem on my older jeep wj And it was the front drive shaft also. I pulled it out and drove on it until I was able to get a new one.
Friend of mine let sombody borrow her 2020 jeep grand cherokee and when it was returned there was a puddle of oil under the front axle and when she drove it there was a hell of a grinding banging noise and it smelled like burnt oil bad . So i took a look and discoverd hole about around as a pencil on the bottom right front side of diff case . I told her i could fix it jb weld so i had her park it on a ramp in the front drivers side wheel except it would not climb the ramp without losing traction passenger side wheel and barley got up on the ramp..i thought this rig was awd ? Hmmm..ok so i was repairing the hole and noticed the front part rear drive line laying on the exhaust with out the joint where it connects in front ..just a female slip joint full of splines . What would it take to make a hole like that in diff case and pull the driveline apart like that ?? Lucky for her or whoever it landed on the exhaust rather that pole vaulting .crazy .
Wow yeah she must have hit something It sounds like it's a two wheel drive because of how you explained it. Was it the drive shaft that caused the hole?
Hey man, marcus here, my driveshaft looks different from the one you have, mine has a rear rubber coupler on the end towards the rear differential. I cant find the correct shaft, should mine look like yours ??
Hi; I have a 2014 5.7 V8 Grand Cherokee which is having a bad drive shaft. Searching for new driver shaft part number drive me crazy 😅 Appreciate if you please can help Which one of the below is the right drive shaft for my car and what is the difference between them: 52123999AC Or 52123811AD Or 52123627AC
@baderal-dughaishi1007 im not sure about the difference, sometimes the same mopar part will have different similar numbers and be the same compatible part. They just supercede the #
That’s why I got confused 🤷🏻♂️ I’ve approached few suppliers and received quotations with different part numbers. I’ve googled the different numbers and some are for 2014 GC but has a comment that it doesn’t fit in my vehicle 🤷🏻♂️ Anyway, thanks for trying to help and for nice informative video 🙂👍
Replacing my transfer case chain. This video was extremely helpful
@@TheLightOfTheSon glad to hear it!
Good luck@
What or how did you discover you needed replacement?
Thanks for the video. Very helpful, good camera angles and explanations. Not too long either. 🎉
Having trouble moving the shaft to get the upper bolts? How do I make it move more
Sorry but I don't really understand what you mean

Is it the front driveshaft or the big rear one like this in the video?
@@Motorcycle_Man it's the short front mines a 2015 limited

Remove it and then go on a ride to see if the sound is still there

So is that one 41 ft lbs on front and rear where the shaft bolts to the t case and rear. Mines the same shaft.
@avengethis97 yes, sometimes i use loc tite . As long as its nice and tight there should be zero issues
