We're not in the market currently but I do love following your videos and content to keep a pulse on the real estate market, especially the time you devote to builders and new homes which drive a lot of the market pricing. Just wanted to say thanks for putting it together for us.
May I ask what you're waiting for? Is it for rates to get lower so you can hit a certain monthly payment goal, are you hoping prices will continue to go down (they will....the year end cool down is a common trend in most parts of the country), are you trying to build up a larger down payment, or some other pieces of the puzzle?
@@AlysonWahl I and my brother wouldn't even consider purchasing a home in this market. Not including would you be paying top dollar on a home because we’re in an artificially generated low-inventory market, but you would be paying high homeowner’s insurance (thanks to the hurricanes that hit Florida and Houston), high property taxes and we’re in or are close to entering or are in a deep Recession. And why would you pull out a distribution from your managed investments for an overvalued asset in these conditions? Both my brother and I live in apartments. And I know what you’re going to say, you're losing money doing so. But, with our financial team, we individually make up for this easily. Plus, we take the maximum in gifting each other. As our father told us many times there is a time and a place when to buy and when to keep your powder dry. And BTW my brother and I are professionals with he being an ophthalmologist and I a software engineer. Our father was a West Point graduate, class of 51, and attained 3 master's degrees (2 were MBAs) outside of this from Northwestern and George Washington University.
Only a month later & how things have changed. interest rates are lower, and more homes are for sale but no buyers. why? everybody knows crash is coming. unemployment rate is about to explode and housing market crash will follow. FED was too late to cut the interest rate. can't stop the recession now.

Thank you so much! I appreciate you watching and taking your time to leave a note. Please share if there is a content idea we haven't covered yet
I'd love to purchase a home, but not in this market. My brother lives in Orlando, FL, and he's in the same boat. We're waiting...
