I believe hosting multiple small meetups delivers a better ROI compared to one massive conference.
For growing sports technology companies, there might be pressure to organise a large-scale event like your competitors. However, from my experience, smaller, local meetups offer a greater return on investment. They require less capital, time, and stress while allowing you to deliver targeted content to a more engaged audience, rather than creating broad content for a large crowd.
