- In the wake of Coolio's death, celebrities pay tribute to the late rapper, praising his career and sharing their memories with him. ET spoke with John Legend shortly after Coolio’s death was announced, and he reflected on the musician’s impact on the music industry. Ice Cube, Snoop Dogg and MC Hammer also paid tribute, along with Coolio's 'Dangerous Minds' co-star, Michelle Pfeiffer. Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell, who worked with the musician on their hit Nickelodeon series, 'Kenan & Kel,' also reacted to his death.

He sang Happy Anniversary, to my husband and I. I will never forget it! Such a cool guy.
His greatest legacy is connecting with the youth, the kids of the 90s appearing on kids shows. I don't think many rappers or rockstars (excluding pop icons) would be able to pull that off.
BTS army here 💜, that he did. He even had influence in inspiring youth across seas. The group BTS, a Korean boyband with beginning roots in hip hop came to America when they were just starting out to learn more about hip hop and Coolio was one of their mentors on their reality show at the time. Some of the key morals he taught them I see they still hold onto today in their success. He was a teacher in his short time on earth and his presence lives on, RIP 😔💜.
Correct I've been saying this for years he crossed over into the kids world and youth in the 90s by just being himself and positive.

I’m heartbroken also, he lives on Earth eternally in his music now, that will be here long after I’m gone. I’ll see him in Paradise. He probably is top 5, he made allot of great songs but Gangsters Paradise is one of best songs ever written in all genres, not many rappers have that acclaim - RIP

Coolio is a sound track of my life. I still listen to his music, I am emotionally attached. I love you man. You have done a lot. Cos of that you need a well deserved rest. I'll see you when I get there brother.
