I just bought a Ranger, and absolutely love it....two months and two thousand miles in...this may well be one of my favorite vehicles ever. I could see a Van like this as a stable mate for camping. Well done presentation. Thanks!
As an electrician I always had companies supply me with full size vans, even a couple of KUV body trucks. Recently the company I work for gave me a transit connect to drive because I run projects, no service work, no need for massive shelves. I love the little van, so much so I bought one today for my camping, mountain biking and fishing trips. The best part about using this as a work truck is when tasked with projects downtown (Chicago) I can park in public garages with a pipe storage box and ladders. If I have only one ladder on top I can park in my garage at home with a standard height door. Badass!
Been a part of a GM family all my life. My first car was an Equinox. The first car I get with my own money will be one of these vans, from your good explaining and just the history that the name holds. That and I just love the shape of it
Great Video review! I know you said it has the longest cargo area in it's class, but you didn't mention what that measurement was....or maybe I missed it. Will it fit a full 4x8 sheet of plywood flat on the ground?
I run my own business repairing dental equipment so I’m in dental offices every day. I use this van to carry all my parts tools and supplies. The big three dental companies also run these a lot
Great job reviewing! I love the fold flat passenger seat for fitting 12' boards in place, and for car camping table! Those comfortable seats are a step up! The Tesla has dog mode and car camping mode. Does Ford Transit connect have this? Dog mode is to adjust temp while you are in store and dog is in car. Camp mode it to periodically DEHUMIDIFY the car throughout the night by cycling on a fan and the AC with heat, because the AC has a drying effect. Thanks!
I want to purchase one of these- what's the length of the cargo area from the back of the center console to the back doors? I have a Nissan NV200 that I use for work and also to transport my dirt bike. Thanks
Do these have to be ordered? Every dealer I look at has only base white model with barn doors. None have blue paint, alloy wheels, rear lift gate, or apple car play like the one in this video.
@@CrisRuiz1993 The length of the cargo floor on the long wheelbase model is exactly 87.6 inches which is 7.3 ft, which is 8 to 9 inches short of being 8 ft long. An 8ft long sheet of plywood will not fit with the back doors closed. This is a major design flaw as it is very common for contractors to load 8 ft x 4 ft plywood sheets in the back of a vehicle.
I found a little secret to the van I have the exact same model,if you have the keys out of the ignition,if you push or pull the hi beam switch a beep follows and the bright lights stay on until you push or pull the hi beam switch was really cool to find out
I'm wondering if I will be feeling the road while driving. The wife wants a vehicle for city errands, yet be able to travel 6-8 hours to Disney World Orlando. She does like the Ford Edge, but I don't think it will match the cargo capacity of the Ford Transit Connect Wagon. I guess in the end test driving the two vehicles is the only way to figure this out.
What's the difference in cargo area and cargo height in the passenger version and cargo version? Would love a dual purpose van but not sacrifice to much cargo area.
I just got approved for one of these today but wasn’t able to drive home yet bc I couldn’t get ahold of my insurance 🤣 have to wait till Monday but I’m super excited.
I wish FORD would offer more than a 2.0 engine. Also, they never should have quit making the Freestar. The freestar also had a lift gate, and two V-6 engines. My Freestar cargo van has hauled many heavy loads, and has been extremely reliable. I have even hauled a refrigerator in it and heavy loads of concrete. I will never part with it. I would consider a Transit Connect if they had a larger 4 or V-6 engine as a second vehicle.
I went from a 2.5L to a 2.0L and I gotta say the 2.0L barely moves. It’s so slow compared to the 2.5L even when it’s empty. I love the van but the 2.5L was just a better engine on these.
That gaslift tailgate will never hold up on its own in Canadian Arctic temperatures. The cold winter air gets very dense and the gas lift drops like a brick.
Thanks for this video. I'm very interested in a Ford Transit Connect. Two suggestions. Hire a videographer. You could make a bunch of these videos in a one-day shoot. It wouldn't cost much divided between all the content you could make from a single day. Alternatively you could purchase a decent camera and let one of your staff take some time to learn to use it. If you go that option, I recommend variable ND filters or a click less apurture lens. That and using manual focus would highly prove your video. Lastly, why is the Mercedes Metris not included as the competition?
For cargo loading this model is useless. A forklift can't load pallets due to rear liftgate style door. You must have the split style rear doors. Unless the rear liftgate could have gone higher so the Forklift be able to get closer to the rear.

Where can one like this be found? I’ve checked like 20 dealers and they all have the white base model only.
Will the cargo area accommodate a 6' ladder?
Finally, someone demonstrates the flat fold passenger seat. No one else seems to know about it. Thanks for showing that cool feature.
This guy is good at explaining all the options. Best video on the transit out there.
Appreciate you watching!
Some people are naturally good sales persons.

Camping is definitely why i looked into this video. Thx for the tour 🥰
Would be nice to know the dimensions of the cargo area and height.
yep can i sit in the back and work

Great Explanations. A Natural Teacher. He is a very good energy.
Great option for local businesses. I’ve even had a customer transform the back to sleep in when he goes hunting!
Absolutely! Thanks for watching!
That's what I want for my occasional 700 mile trips, save on hotels.
Great Video review!
I know you said it has the longest cargo area in it's class, but you didn't mention what that measurement was....or maybe I missed it.
Will it fit a full 4x8 sheet of plywood flat on the ground?
It's about 7 ft from the back of the seats to the rear doors on the 2014 - current models
When is all wheel drive coming?
I am curious on that one myself?
Man you really know you're stuff. You could sell ice cubes to Eskimos. Thanks for the great review.
Flawless (imho) and accurate. I'd hire this guy in a heartbeat to do a tech review.
Even though he fails to mention the dimensions of the cargo area? Might be a little more important then tech you might not even use.
You had me at the tailgate
What if I don’t want my transit to shut off at a stop? Can I turn that feature off? Or there is no way of doing that? Does anyone know? Thanks!!!
Yes, it’s just a push of a button to turn the option off.
@@JackVan8 thanks
Do the seats come out in the Xlt?
I run my own business repairing dental equipment so I’m in dental offices every day. I use this van to carry all my parts tools and supplies. The big three dental companies also run these a lot
I would love to convert this into an RV type. How much will it possibly cost to customize it?
There are over five direct retro fit van companies for this vehicle approximately $40,000 plus van
Will ford option this model with a 5 seater? Or 4 seater? I don't need all the cargo.
Why he didn't say anything about the transmission if it seal or not and what about the water pump design?
Most people don’t know or care. It’s likely “lifetime fluid” like a lot of light duty fords.

what's the length from the back of the seats to the trunk area?
What’s the length from back of driver seat to back door?
Great review
Been doin research all day on cargo vans. Think I’ve found mine.
How tall is the cargo space?
What’s the starting price?
I'm getting one of these little vans for a van life adventure next year 😐
Looks like the gearshift is in the way of dash controls. Front wheel drive?
I want to purchase one of these- what's the length of the cargo area from the back of the center console to the back doors? I have a Nissan NV200 that I use for work and also to transport my dirt bike. Thanks
Hi friend what type a van is that one?
Great video, thank you.
Ho long is that cargo floorspace, seat backrest to rear door?
The long wheel base model is flawed, the cargo area is not long enough to fit 8 x 4 ft sheet plywood, it's lenght is short by about 8 or 9 inches.
Not what it was designed for.
Damn, this guy is GOOD. Cool vans
best in class floor lengh how about some numbers please can i put sheet goods back there or no
The cargo area is not long enough to fit 8 x 4 ft sheet plywood, it's length is short by almost a foot.
How tall is the person in this video? Looking for the height under the open back hatch.
Do these have to be ordered? Every dealer I look at has only base white model with barn doors. None have blue paint, alloy wheels, rear lift gate, or apple car play like the one in this video.
Great video!! Did upgrade also to be awd???
I can put 4x8 plywood?
as a mail carrier who drives my personal vehicle en route, looking at one of these to replace my minivan eventually
How long is the cargo area from the front seats to the back door?
The cargo area is not long enough to fit 8 x 4 ft sheet plywood, it's length is short by almost a foot.
That sucks! Is the long wheel base model not big enough either??
@@CrisRuiz1993 The length of the cargo floor on the long wheelbase model is exactly 87.6 inches which is 7.3 ft, which is 8 to 9 inches short of being 8 ft long. Is there a all wheel drive power train option?
What type of hood prop does it have? Steel rod or gas lift?
How much cost that one $$-? But with with different back door.
What about water leaks
Yes but can it fit a sheet of plywood.
Great video!
Thanks for watching!
How much?
I just bought one of these, waiting for it to be built though, hopefully won't take too long lol
did you order a 2023? Would you mind letting me know if they are charging higher than MSRP?
@@burglekut I did, yes it's 2k higher than the previous years msrp. No it's not higher than MSRP.
Is the interior completely carpet free including the front?
This guy is good. I'd buy from him
Thanks. How many horses power?
Very well explained!
When is all diesel engine coming ?
No locking gas cap?
No because it is a tamper proof fuel system :) Thanks for watching!!
I am having a hard time finding a cargo xlt lwb with the lift gate...they all seem to have the cargo doors.
What is the difference between cargo length 'at floor' and cargo length 'at belt'? I don't know what 'at belt' means....?
I found a little secret to the van I have the exact same model,if you have the keys out of the ignition,if you push or pull the hi beam switch a beep follows and the bright lights stay on until you push or pull the hi beam switch was really cool to find out
Good morning I'm looking for transit Ford 2021
Diesel option in California?
What’s the hp and torque?
Hp and tq??
Start and stop is a bad feature. Can it be turned off?
I'm wondering if I will be feeling the road while driving. The wife wants a vehicle for city errands, yet be able to travel 6-8 hours to Disney World Orlando. Perhaps you said it in the video and I missed it, but do you all have the 2021 cargo van (not the connect)?
Any plans on reviewing the Connect Wagon?
Yes!
What's the difference in cargo area and cargo height in the passenger version and cargo version? Would love a dual purpose van but not sacrifice to much cargo area.
Good review if your selling it to my grandparents

Do you like it
@@Brabyscastlewash I love it! Been living on the road since I picked it up an an building it out as I go.
Nice auto-focus
Can I fit a 48" wide plywood flat in the cargo area?

I need it
Does he ever take a breath?
Ive had mine for 7 years darn thing only gets 28 mpg city

Love this review! Covered all the important and kept me engaged
he remind me of wrestler A-Train/Prince Albert from WWE
Paul is great at explaining , love this guy!
Are ford vans any good reliable are they like ford 🚘
way to confuse someone. 2.5 or 2.0?
I went from a 2.5L to a 2.0L and I gotta say the 2.0L barely moves. It’s so slow compared to the 2.5L even when it’s empty. I love the van but the 2.5L was just a better engine on these.
I have the 1.6 ecoboost and it has decent power
At the beginning of this video he says it’s a 2.5 liter, then at the end he says it a 2.0.
Which is it?
Both options are available
Unfortunately, you cannot use the 2021 wagon van for taxi anymore.
We did hear they may discontinue the Taxi Package but people do still convert them to a Taxi from what we have been told. Thanks for watching!
I’ll wait for the 2022 e-transit EV
Own one. Why the passenger has no armrest for the left arm is still annoying.
That gaslift tailgate will never hold up on its own in Canadian Arctic temperatures. The cold winter air gets very dense and the gas lift drops like a brick.

Please don't say is big... just give the dimensions
I dislike Ford and their software, but I picked Transit simply because Ram does not offer a liftgate on their lineup.
LOL @ the cameraman trying to focus. yikes.
After reading other comments I guess I'm just getting old. I hate a fast talking car salesman!
Passenger wagon!
We will be doing a passenger wagon soon! Thanks for watching!
A truck wont be able to take any pallets out of that car becouse of that type of door.
Then option the "other" door?
with a tail gate? hahah no fork lift loading.....don't want a tail gate van thks
You need a better camera or use your iPhone to shoot video 🙄🤣
You talk too much
