- Welcome back to our journey at NPK Bowling Green! In part 2 of this video, we pick up right where we left off after an incredible victory on Day 1. We were on a high, ready to conquer the competition once again.
The morning started with an exciting twist as we pulled the first round by, setting the tone for an intense day ahead. Our team confidently prepared for the race, knowing we had the cleanest and fastest pass out of the entire lineup. The anticipation was palpable.
However, as fate would have it, our journey took an unexpected turn. Just when we thought victory was within our grasp, we ran into an issue that taught us valuable lessons about not celebrating too soon. It was a tough pill to swallow, but we were reminded that perseverance and humility are big factor in racing.
Despite having to back out of the race, we couldn't let the setback dampen our spirits. In fact, we were fortunate enough to have a unique opportunity to connect with the legendary Shawn Ellington from Street Outlaws. We presented him with a brand-new carbon fiber wing for the iconic Murder Nova. It was a meeting of minds and a gesture of mutual respect among racers.

This is how you learn, put a list together to check after a race on a two day event and use the same list to check when your back at the shop car looked killer. Get your list done and kick some ass next time out again

Check the expiration date on your loctite boys! We throw away more bottles than we use. Made a difference in our program! Love ya’ll! Keep putting in work!
Are you talking blue or red? I've found blue goes away big time but red still does it's thing no matter how old.

@@williamstamper442red locktite is used at the factory for VERY HEAVY equipment.
@@williamstamper442 red!!! I had our studs for the lug nuts back out! The tube was expired. Put fresh on, and never had a problem again. My workplace does a lot of government work. We constantly throw away expired thread locker. I figured it was my problem, and it fixed it. Lol, idk if it works for everyone.
Our local Caterpillar dealer has a policy about throwing away open containers of red loctite after 10 days. Because they've seen what happens on equipment and engines with lots of vibration.
you need to use the paste it lasts 10 times longer and you know if it’s good or not by its hardness when you pull the cap off and I know personally it last for quite a long time I’ve been building fire trucks for years I build them and repair them. and I’ve never had a bolt come loose using the paste and I guarantee you there’s a ton of vibration in those big Cummins and Detroit engines.
Don't beat yourselves up to badly guys. Your first time out in competition this year. You did well. Know they all know when you guys pull in they better be on their A game. Great job.

Your situation with Charlie Brown sucks for sure but is teaching you a valuable lesson of taking care of what got you there. I admire your honesty of what happened because most teams wouldn’t have said anything due to embarrassment. You guys are the best and totally nailed it with Charlie Browns build. Won a major event right out of the box. Congratulations! Everyone of you have individual talents and make a good team at building race cars but someone needs to be appointed the “crew chief” to oversee maintenance. Just my opinion. God bless and y’all made the right choice in saving the car for another day.

Sometimes it's not about who's got the fastest car but who's got the most consistent reliable car... It's hard to catch every single little thing on a race car all the time and it sucks but it's a part of it and nothing you can do but learn from it and move on
Enjoyed seeing all the racers in BG, Kantucky, the small tire put on a better show, small tire, NPK, get rid of 7.0 and local races, better wake up Gilman
I’ve wanted a tear away skin looking tattoo ever since I had nitrous on my S10 in 2002. You mentioning well spray you with a nitrous bottle just put that idea back in my head lol. Would be my whole right rib cage with a line tied into a vein by my shoulder lol. Y’all rock love what you guys do

Awesome job fellows Don't be to hard on yourselves mistakes happen but you learn from them also and you Dude's was coming Down off of cloud 9 after that win and was just to jacked up and over looked the problem but I already know that mistake will never happen again, but you Dude's are awesome and keep up the good work you all have 1 Bad Ass Ride in Charlie Brown I feel everyone else had batter step up there program because Charlie B is no JOKE.

I used to watch the show, but stopped probably 5-7 years ago. I remember daddy Dave waxing every one with that nitrous truck. It’s like nitrous is coming back! Just wish it was cheaper like it used to be.

No. Making sure the last guy in there actually torques the bolts instead of just running them up with an electric cordless impact.
Bolts must have been covid quality. LOL
One size larger bolts and tap fine threads worked better on my eagle crank 568bbf 500 shot nx. Power glide behind it didnt pull crank jegs has the right bolts

How would the crack shaft threads be fucked.
If the bolts backed out ,,, only the bolts would be fucked ,,,,, in less you tried threading bad bolts back in
Get new bolts and thread them in

Not worth it I know a man in his 70’s he lost his legs to a clutch blowing up and cut both his legs off below the knee
Don Garlits lost half his foot for the same reason... But that is a clutch explosion. We now have bellhousings that will retain those parts if they come loose. Not saying it can't happen but the probability is way lower than it used to be.
