Man I can't believe it's already been 28 years since RE4 first released! I feel like an old man lol. Love the humor and insight you bring to these videos, can't wait for the next one!
@@leescorpion Hi! Sorry not to be nit-picky but I'm pretty sure he said 28 years? I'm going to rewatch the video but I think I'm correct here. Have a nice evening!
@@mymyboy827 I feel like he would know better though? Since he went through all the effort with making the movie and what not but I'll rewatch it again and see. I think he says 28 years and it does feel like a really long time since this was released, but I'm willing to admit I might be in the wrong here!
@@TheUnchartedProtocol Maan, which to even mention. I really enjoyed new Ashley, she no longer was a bit annoying, but instead quite charming. The combat in general, is just really great. it is kind of like evolution of what we got in RE2R, got a bit more actiony in RE3 remake and culminated in this. Though I have to probably say my favourite part is that they gave Luis more room and his arc was much better in this.
@@ShotJon Yeah! Loved Luis parts, but in general I like whenever they go with some "mysterious umberall stuff" behind the scenes, been playing it some more and combat is super fun still
I was sorely disappointmented by the Resident Evil 2 and 3 remakes because they were both missing crucial content that made the original RE2 and 3 memorable. But I will give Capcom one more chance with Resident Evil 4 remake if it maintains the faith of the original RE4, especially if I do not have to escort Ashley around and she is shrieking Leon's name.
Great review, but what's with you putting layers of fear at 0 in your little horror scale, to this day no game has scared me more than that one, but you do you yeah
Wait king of remake ? ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahah, a title that after a week they try already to cash up with upgrading weapons. A title that suppose sell 3 millions in 2 day, but reach barely the 4 millions in more than a week. Censoring character because "Capcom don't want you to sexualising women". Quick time removed that was the best part that make the game a legend and living the cut scenes, character ruined completely. The actress that play Ada had to cancel her IG because it was really bad acting and voicing. The most relevant thing is the combat knife that you can use from the beginning, so literally boring after the first area. Boring boss combat . Money trash grab this is what this title is.

i know youre a small channel, but man was that mic bad. Its not horrible, but when compared to others its absolute dog shit. Please dont get mad, this is an honest criticism. This is a good video by the way. Great job
Thank you, yeah I don't mind, I've been using a blue(meme) yeti for a while but I guess it's time to upgrade, honestly hard to tell when you're sitting and editing since you get ear fatigue after a while, so appreciate the honesty
Hey man, I know this is the internet and all, but please try to conduct yourself better. If you genuinely want to give helpful critique that people listen to you should consider how your words come across. Saying his mic is absolute dog shit is an unnecessarily harsh way of phrasing it. Especially since you preface it by saying it's not horrible. I don't know if you care or not but that's my two cents. Please don't get mad, this is just an honest criticism.
imagine thinking this action game is a horror masterpiece. It's exactly like the original: an action shooting game in which the main character moves and fights like spiderman and stronger than most of the enemies in the game.
I think you played a different game? I havent played this in 28 years but I'm pretty sure they didn't use Spiderman? I'm going to replay the original soon but I think there would've been copyright issues if Capcom used Marvel characters?
@@_xfuturetrunksx_ people delude themselves that their subjective opinion is objective are usually preteens that still dont see other people's perspective, you are objectively incorrect, thats the closest youll be to objectivity in this conversation, and this is coming from a guy that loves re4 remake more than 2 remake, both are masterpieces, one is more focused on opressive atmospheric detail, tight corridors and slow and methodical distance based gameplay, the other is more focused on fast action, combat options and almost arena sized stages for you to juggle and kite enemies, both have their merits, both arent better than the other.
Sorry dude but no RE4 isnt King of Remakes. That goes to Deadspace. What makes it win? Side Quests. Both games added them. RE4s are nothing more than shoot/stab/go fight uber x lazy designs. Deadspaces on the other hand actually add to the lore of Deadspace. There is practically no areas where the Deadspace Remake isnt a improvement over the OG, where RE4 there are parts that while they dont make it worse are not as good as the OG.
What makes it win for me is that it frequently subverted my expectations while remaining surprisingly faithful to the original all things considered. Very much like the RE2 remake did. Dead Space remake felt more like a fairly polished version of a game I've played before. What ultimately makes it better for me is that I think RE4 was a better game than DS all along. It's so varied, so expertly paced and so full of neat little details. Heck, unlike DS it actually managed to be pretty unnerving when it tried to. The Ashley bit, Verdugo, the Garrador and the regenerators were simply way more terrifying than anything in DS. By the time I'd fixed the comms array in DS I was getting a little bit bored to be honest. Fatigue due to repitition kicked in hard by that time. Meanwhile RE4 actually improved its worst bit(the island) a Heck of a lot.
I think that while the side quests in re4 were not lore deepening, they added to the overall gameplay. I knew I needed spinels for specific equipment, items, etc. and the gameplay was fun so it was never a chore really.
@@JustFun-ho6qy ehhh frankly re4 did enoug when it comes to adding to the lore in the best way possible, it just didnt do it through side quests, frankly yeah dead space is a better remake, but i personally prefer re4 remake over it, both are masterpieces though and its all about preferences.
