I am disappointed you still can't charge the battery on its own. I would want to put out the battery to charge with solar, while i am using the unit. Having to charge them together is a big downside. Then I don't see the reason to get an expandable battery. Especially since I am lookingnfor emergency situationes. I would probably just get two units instead of the expandable battery. Congratulations it's a nice machine especially with that new lithium iron phosphate battery. Grab the manual, see page 13 very helpful www.ecoflow.com/us/support/download/index
@@TechMadeEzy should I drain the battery before giving it a full charge. And what settings should I set on how much I keep in reserve and how much I allow it to charge.
@dougziglar8489 definitely follow the guidelines in the manual I myself really don't charge it anymore than 90% And I don't drain it any more than 20%, but I do follow the guidelines every 3 to 6 months
The EcoFlow Delta 2 Max is NOT the biggest solar battery and generator that EcoFlow sells... Right ?? Their largest battery / generator formerly came in at about 100 pounds. It wasn't intended to be hauled around for use in a camper That largest storage battery / generator was intended to be used in a permanent location as to power some appliances, etc in your home if the electric grid is down. If I've got this wrong, please tell me. I am interested in putting solar panels on my garage roof to power at least some of my appliances when the electricity is down.
The difference between the first and this 2nd gen is great but not great enough to pay extra money (lost from what i paid for what i get). If you dont have a max get 2nd gen. I have 2 max and 2 EB for black outs and emergencies so i dont use these everyday. I got an electrician to install a back feed and interlock device so i just plug it into the house to power in case of power outage.
I'm new to all of this. What does 3000 cycles mean. Does it mean dropping down to zero and recharging? What if I drop to 50% and recharge.. is that still considered a cycle? etc
Hi welcome 100% to 0 would be a cycle. 50% and recharge isn't considered a cycle but I feel somehow it counts. I wish I knew more about that. Good practice is to use the battery to 80/85% then only deplete to 10%. But be aware many companies have their own maintenance guidelines you need to follow to keep your warranty.
So I have a question if you're willing to help...With the 2 solar inputs, would it be feasible to use one with a 550W panel, and then into the other one add an 800w (2x400)panel ia a charge controller array into a 300AH 12v battery. Then I could feed input from that battery after dark for a few hours to even out our input from the sun?
I know the connectors are the same, but the software Hass to support it. The battery chemistry is different but you probably have to contact EcoFlow to confirm this support@ecoflow.com
Guys don't forget that 2048wh battery won't give you all of its capacity but around 80%. There are also temperature limitations for those power stations. If you rely on solar energy you typically get around 60-80% of solar power from what manufacturer rates their panels. Considering this Delta 2 is a minimum you should really and Max is even better if you can afford.
I got the Delta 2 Max, but it did not come with a solar cable...? Do I need the XT60 or XT60i to hookup to the EcoFlow solar panel. Also, if I wanted to hook into a non-ecoflow panel to something like a Jackery that has 8mm input, do you have a cable adapter recommendation?

Would 3 160w panels in series work? I saw your short video doing it with the delta pro but delta max 2 has a voltage limit of 60v, the 160w panels are 21.4 open but 18.6 with a load
@zombyfrank now that the delta max 2 has 2 XT60 ports, you can have 2 160w on one and another 160w on the other, you could even have 2 160w on one and 2 160w on the other also
@Tech Made Easy By the way, I have returned the Ryobi 80 volt 30" cut. the cut wasn't great, the battery didn't last 90 min. as advertized, and the thumb paddle for self-propelled was uncomfortable. The battery while being 80 volt, which you need to make it run (it's one big lawnmower) is only 10 amp hour, the same as my EGO, and ran out almost exactly the same time as my EGO 10 amp hour battery, in fact I had to fire up my EGO to finish mowing😊. So, I purchased another EGO 10 amp hour battery, and it's just me and my EGO👍
For the money robotic mowers are getting close, stuff like the EcoFlow blade makes sense compared to paying the same amount for a zero turn or ride on mower. Downside to the blade though it can't do longer grasses like we need up north, 3-4" need in summer and I think 3" is the highest the blade goes. Yarbo seems like they have potential too, if they ever release.
