Wow, great video. Seems to be a mixture of Blade Runner, computer games, comic books and 80s graphics. Perhaps even a Time Bandits influence in there. Still haven't worked out who he's dissing though (if it is actually anyone in particular).

OK maybe, but El-P hasn't exactly emulated Sage's style as an MC. Also, I thought EL-P and Sage mixed with a lot of the same artists. EL-P is one of the best producers out there too. I've heard people attack EL-P for a number of reasons but most of it is unfounded. Unless you know more reasons for it being EL-P?

In 2008 you came to Winnipeg with Rise Against, and the audience was AWFUL to you. I would like to apologize on behalf of my city. You are amazing, easily my favourite rapper, and if you headlined a tour here I would PERSONALLY bring in 15 people at least who would scream their lungs out for you.
I think part of the issue is that promoters have never understood indie hiphop and how/where to market it. It's complex and, to be obtuse, the "white guys" are especially tough. The "obvious" place is punk shows (and labels) but, as you've mentioned, that doesn't always fly. It could also be that the audience is just too small but I don't think I buy that. I saw B. Dolan at The Knitting Factory in Brooklyn after Kill the Wolf came out and there were ~15 people there. He killed it anyways but it just made no sense. I think the promoter didn't know what to make of it and punted. It's a shame and hopefully it changes for the better.
