- Indian students in Canada province face deportation, India says not aware of it
Hundreds of Indian students in Prince Edward Island, a province in Canada, are protesting as they face being deported to India after a sudden change in the provincial immigration rules. The Indian Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), however, has stated that it has no reports or updates on the issue.

The protest has entered the second week and the Indian students say they will continue to fight for their rights as it is a "now-or-never situation"
A large number of students have gone to Canada to study. The figure is pretty significant. But we haven't come across several students facing deportation... We do not have any updates on that. We are not aware. There may be one case here or one case there. But we don't see any major problem as far as students in Canada are concerned," said MEA spokesperson Randhir

প্রাদেশিক আইনে সাম্প্রতিক পরিবর্তনের কারণে কানাডার প্রিন্স এডওয়ার্ড দ্বীপে শত শত ভারতীয় শিক্ষার্থী নির্বাসনের মুখোমুখি হচ্ছে এবং প্রতিবাদ করছে। ভারতের বিদেশ মন্ত্রক অবশ্য বলেছে যে কানাডা থেকে ভারতীয় ছাত্রদের নির্বাসনের বিষয়ে তাদের কাছে কোন রিপোর্ট বা আপডেট নেই।
বিক্ষোভটি দ্বিতীয় সপ্তাহে প্রবেশ করেছে এবং ভারতীয় ছাত্ররা বলেছে যে তারা তাদের অধিকারের জন্য লড়াই চালিয়ে যাবে কারণ এটি একটি "এখন-কখনও নয়" পরিস্থিতি।

International students have been flocking to a loophole-to-immigration. Utilizing schooling as a backdoor ticket to Canada (instead of using the upfront immigration channels). Swarming a system that was NOT designed to be about EVERY student wanting PR.
Now all Canadians have clued in that Canada's post secondary education system has (in 4 years time) turned into EDUGRATION. Something that the PUBLIC schools were NOT created for. Plus edugration (public or private) was NEVER approved by everyday Canadians.
Plus what about Ghost Consulting that Canada told India to halt? What about the $ greedy foreign agents MARKETING & LYING to their own people about access to PR etc., being easy to get? What about IELTS spouses? Anchor babies? Fraud? False asylum claims?
What about Canadian food banks & charity services being recklessly advertised on YT in Indian languages?
What about Canadian housing being scooped up en-mass as investment vehicles by/for internationals? What about home rental/boarding signs stating "vegetarians only can apply"?
Are all international students truly Scholars … or are most Economic Migrants (who BORROWED $ to buy their way to the head of the immigration line)? Yes Canada made some unfortunate mistakes especially by not pumping the immigration brakes sooner. But to say all the students (or their consultants back home) have not been at times 'gaming' Canada's EDUCATION programs to PRIMARILY gain western PR is ridiculous.
Canadians want multi-culturism to succeed … and for all people (including immigrants) to be okay. Everyone I know is very happy with IRCC's recent changes (reductions & multifaceted investigations etc.). Including multi-generational long-term Asian-Canadians where many have been the MOST upset (by all of this).
PS Canadians are aware that some great students are going through hell. And know Canada is partially to blame which hurts Canadian hearts. But bottom-line, Canada decides what needs to be done in Canada. Do you see Canadians protesting in other countries (that is not their own) making demands for themselves? No. Do Canadians see students/temporary workers/asylum seekers from other countries protesting in Canada, making demands since the world pandemic? Yes.
If 36,000,000 Canadians travelled to India, since 2020, with the primary goal of being able to stay there permanently, that would raise India's population by 2.65%. Recent migrators (after PR) ... especially the students... have raised Canada's population 2.65%.
Changes are occurring in 2024, for HUGE reasons.
