The problem is prednisone is not specific to PMR. It might show improvement in other diseases. So I don't think improvement proves its PMR. CRP and ESR must be elevated to prove it but sometimes although rare patients can have normal ESR and CRP. and pain must be bilateral and not on one side. Nice Job on presentation!!
