I’ve had great feedback from my ‘Chord Cheat Sheet’.
People seem to find it really useful, so I recommend making the most of that

Here we'll walk through the ways that I approached playing the song, from chord shapes and versions, in addition to fingerpicking and stylistic approach. This is my version: • Johnny Cash's "Hurt" o...
"Hurt" is the song that revived Johnny Cash's career. While not written for him, it was originally penned by Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails, Johnny's version has become the defacto version of the song. His presence, life story, and deep baritone give it such a haunting feel.
A whole step down from D and you'll be able to play along with w/ Johnny.

I love this song. It was one of only two songs my deceased singer/songwriter son ever covered. I just started to play. Guitar was too hard so I came to the Seagull Merlin and Strumstick. I am using this song to learn how to play , and can't wait to actually be able to play it. You are so funny "I want you to be able to play the whole song today." I wish.
Well, we can have goals, right? At least I can try to teach the whole song in one video... I was ambitious, I suppose ;-)
Enjoy, and good luck!
The transposition guide!! You rock man, best tutorials on the merlin out there 🙂
Thanks! Are you saying it's helpful, that you can't find it, or something else? (I ask because that's a resource guide that I've always wondered if it was helpful / understandable. Transposition is a tricky topic ;-)
I've been waiting for this one!
ME TOO!! LOL, you're welcome!
