We're OLD; 71 and 69. Hit the park at "rope drop" [That's at 8 with Early Magic Hours]. Enjoy the cool morning and low crowds. Have a nice lunch and go back to the room for naps. You also avoid the afternoon monsoon, too.
I'd say another rookie mistake is staying in the parks all day with young kids. I found it worked best if we went in during the morning, then went back to the hotel after lunch and swam/napped/etc, then went back in before dinner. That way the midday meltdown happens at the hotel and not in the middle of the park!
Nicole P I’m 16 and I still need to do this when I go. Gets too hot especially in summer. Go back to the hotel chill and get a snack. Then go back out to a park with magic hours
My kiddos will be 5 and 2 when we go next year and I keep reminding my husband of this. There will be a midday nap/rest session everyday, if for no other reason than to keep mommy sane!
We’ve been doing Disney for 25 years and have always bought park hopper passes and stayed on property. We would get up super early to get to a park before it opened and leave after lunch to nap and swim at the resort. We were refreshed and ready to go back to one of the parks and stay until close. It’s been a good plan for us regardless of our kids ages.
I got my foot run over by an irate dad with a stroller at Animal Kingdom when my mom cut him off to get in line and I hurried to follow her so we stayed together. I also got my heel scraped when a woman got right behind me in a store in Epcot and I nearly fell over.
Bridget Clement Kids alone are a nightmare. I had kids running under my leg and two got lost the last time I was there. Parents and kids hate the leash but that’s one place I think it should be used
Edward Campitelli there's a Dole Whip kiosk (Tamu Tamu I think) in Animal Kingdom that offers the original (without the vanilla swirl) but you can get it with alcohol.
agon1963 here’s what I got from their webpage “Pineapple Lanai Savor a taste of island sunshine with the legendary frozen treat known as DOLE WHIP®. Enjoy traditional soft serve swirls and floats, which are also available in souvenir Tiki Sippers or Bowls. Located just outside the great Ceremonial House at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort” Hopefully that helps!!
Don't overplan! Our first trip we did 4 parks in 4 days - never again ha ha. We stay 7 nights and do maybe 4 parks. We are fans of one day on, one day off. Take it easy and enjoy the vacation. 😀
One day on, one day off best advice. Did the same mistake first time with the family. We now stay 7-8 days with 2 days for theme parks and 1 for a water park. The rest of the days spent relaxing at the Disney resort pool.
Oof same but we did 4 parks in 3 days😬so magic kingdom only on the first day, Epcot and Disney Hollywood studios the second day and animal kingdom the third day
HAVE the Ponchos before you get there! I did this and we never had to worry about the rain, and the kids loved going through the parks when everyone else stopped.
Two tips of my own! 1) You can bring water bottles and ask for a water cup at any food stand/restaurant! Saved a lot of $ on water and bought slushies instead :P 2) Leave a bit earlier for Magic Kingdom! You must take a monorail or ferry to get to the park which will add time.
or take the monorail thru the resorts to the parking lot (be at your car in 10-15 mins instead of 50-75 waiting waiting for the monorail or ferry at closing.
Cecilia Im good advice along with everyone’s. Here’s a bit more: if staying at resorts in the MK area, then your options are typically the monorail, water shuttles, or the walk path. Buses in that area will take you to Ticket and Transportation for the monorail and the big steamboat, as well as to other parks if you are heading from MK to any other park and vice versa. As for the other resorts, method of travel to and from the parks depends on what general area the resort is located. Located near HWS or Epcot, ferries and walk paths between those parks and their neighboring resorts are the only options. However, buses from those same resorts will take you to MK and AK. I think there is bus transportation between Epcot and HWS, but I cannot remember for certain. AK resorts have bus transportation to AK park as well as the other parks and Disney Springs. Disney Spring resorts have bus and water transportation and some may even have walk paths if close enough. The real thing to know is there is typically little to no bus transportation between resorts. So going from one resort to another via bus almost doesn’t exist. There are exceptions, or course. If you want to go to another resort via bus, you can simply hop on a bus going to a park, get off at said park, then wait at the bus stop of your intended destination. I only encourage doing that if you’re feel extra adventurous that day, okay 😉.
Even better: Go to any resort hotel (the "value" ones sell them constantly, and no, you don't have to stay there.) Buy a mug, the price is steep (18.99), but you can literally fill them with any drink that's non-alcoholic of your choice at the resort hotels that's quick service for free during your stay. No one will bat an eye to this of you doing this including security. The park hates it because you don't have to pay them a penny. You can also put them anywhere on your bag or inside it.
Tip for having to cancel dining reservations last minute! As long as it’s not within 5 minutes of the reservation, you can move your reservation to another day and then cancel it, that way you won’t be charged for canceling on the same day/no showing!
Rookie Mistake for those staying on property is to skip Early Magic Hours. It's a different park everyday, and getting in an hour before the rest of the world is a big advantage. You can hit 2 or 3 attrctions before the park actually "opens."
Actually, a Rookie Mistake is going to a park on an EMH day. It's always more crowded from start to finish, and it's not worth it anymore (EMH is pretty crowded these days). You're actually better off looking up where EMH is and avoiding that park like the plague.
Agree to disagree. Since we don't spend the whole day in the park, due to our advanced ages, EMH is a great deal for us as we hit several attractions before the rest of the world enters, and, coincidentally, works just the way Disney designed it.
Tom Welsh Yup, Agree to disagree! We also don’t spend the whole day in the park, since we have disabilities and young children in our group, and we find that EMH is a nightmare to be avoided at all costs. Different interpretations, I suppose! I do highly recommend the paid After Hours events as well as the DVC after hours events if you are a member.
I used to work at a renaissance fair and our best defense against 'chub rub' was bicycling shorts under our costumes (you can get them without the big pad). Any long, lycra'ish shorts work wonders ha ha 😀
And biker shorts are good for this! I have very think legs,as I am an hourglass body and Thin tight with jean shorts over them to stay trendy,or biker shorts. Not like motorbike shorts but pedal bike shorts.
So great! Totally agree. We have five kids and a stroller is an absolute must. Even my 10 year old will take a break in in! Another tip is to grab a seat early on Main Street if you want to watch the festival of fantasy parade up close. And my biggest tip is to sit on the “correct” side so you aren’t in the sun. We usually sit right across from Starbucks. 👍
You can bring your own water into the park. We each have day packs and we grab 3 bottled waters each. I throw in a powdered drink mix in case someone wants to add it to the water for change of pace. we like starbucks single serving Refreshers. They are caffeinated and really great for a 2PM pick me up.
ALWAYS bring one of those emergency ponchos with you! I've seen these for as low as $1 at Walmart, or a whopping $3 on Amazon. If you wait to buy one in the park, you'll pay closer to $20. Also, when you get back to your room at night, hang your poncho in the shower to dry. I took mine with me every day (and used it every day) on my last trip.
Every single time I go to Disney in Orlando it rains, first time I got caught without ponchos I spent over 100 bucks for me and my entire family just for ponchos, never again!! Every time after that we took ponchos for everyone and a pair of flip flops !
I spent 10 years in Orlando with WDW and one tip I seldom see listed in YTs is about the weather in the summer. It WILL rain, usually in the early afternoon. The storms are usually no big deal and pass quickly, so find a covered attraction to wait it out. Also, and this is VERY IMPORTANT, if a storm is approaching your hotel manager will [should] order the swimming pool closed and Disney water parks WILL BE cleared, Florida's lightning is extremely dangerous so don't argue. Spring weather is like Spring weather every place else so take a few shorts and Tees, jeans and even light sweaters. Evening temps are usually cool so a light jacket may be in order.
Andrew Priester - One more tip related to weather and rental cars. If you're going to Orlando during the winter to escape the cold of northern states, welcome and enjoy daytime temps usually in the 70's. If you're flying in during the winter and need to hire a rental car remember to be inconspicuous for your own safety and DO NOT hire a convertible! While the locals are walking around in coats because it's cold, you'll stand out like a sore thumb not to mention a bad guy's potential victim driving around with the top down.
Elizabeth Chattin it rains a lot. Once you see clouds off in the distance you know it’s going to rain. But it only last about 20 minutes. We usually reserve a spot for lunch or dinner and eat while it rains. Look at the app to get precise time. It gets very hot and humid also. Bring a thermo or hydro flask to refill for free.
On the shoes note: I would recommend Sketchers with memory foam. I was lucky on my trip and didn't have any rain, but they seemed to dry out pretty quick after things like Splash Mountain. I was also the only one in my family who didn't get sore feet during the trip.
MasterOfNinjas16 I wear the ones with the gogamat material and my feet never hurt at the end of the day! They're so comfy and great for those who need arch support!
Yes Sketchers are the best!!! I'm 66, spent a Week at Disney & was soooo glad I had Sketchers! And if they get wet, they dry fairly quickly, depending on the type you wear.
I totally agree! I'm 66 & I wore Sketchers all but one day at Disney, and my feet were fine. The day I wore some "hiking" sneakers, my feet hurt. Disney is ALL hard surfaces, blacktop, cement or paving stone. Be Warned!!
Don’t get Memory foam! Get some gel inserts instead! Memory foam is already kinda gross, but if it gets sweaty it will get warm and wet, and stink, and if it just gets wet from a ride it will act like a sponge and all the water will stay there. So I really just recommend normal running shoes or ANY shoes with good inserts. Side note: I’ve even worn converse to Disney and I was fine...
Its kinda sad when you have to make all these plans and people have to watch YT to get the best ideas in planning your trip to DW. I mean really !!!! Having to watch online tutorials about a vacation and the prepaid meal plans and credits seem so crazy to me. It makes my head hurt .Not to mention the cost !!!!! I remember being a kid and everyone being able to go to Disneyland in CA. Now only the priviledged are able to go and to me thats really sad.
I think going to Disney once every 5 or so years is doable for a middle class family. Its the people that go three or more times a year and stay on sight that surprise me. I do agree on the silliness of all the video watching and planning. They tell you in the same video to not "over plan" but then tell you to book dinning, book fastpass, plan what you are riding and when. I also love when you hear "Take a day to enjoy the resort". Again if you go three times a year then that seems like a no brainer but my family of 4 only gets to experience Disney one or maybe twice a decade. If we are there we are hitting the parks every day. We are flying out as early as possible and flying home as late as possible so we can get the most out of our trip.
I'm trying to orchestrate me and 4 friends (5 people total) to travel to Disney from Colorado in 2 years. I looked into it, and buying your tickets (for both round-trip plane and parks/resort) like a year in advance really, really helps! Especially if you're all adults who can be working and saving up (I'm out of advice for the families out there, except plan in advance and save money where you can)
I have to slightly disagree. almost everyone can afford to go. the person that makes this vlog, IMHO, contributes to the perception of it being so expensive. I am an annual passholder, so my outlook may be a bit different, but, i think it needs to be put out there. it is extremely rare for me or my girlfriend to spend any money at disney, above admission costs. which for the both us is only $78 per month. that includes free parking. Sure, I get that there is enjoyment to be had in all of these extras. but, I am a bit of a minimalist. this is my basic outlook. If I.couldn't be entertained by simply walking around, looking at creative architecture, riding a few rides, taking in a few shows, just soaking up the basic experience of being there? then I would not go at all. the idea that one needs to pay for more things, in order to be enterained, is to me ludicrous. we often go and walk around the various hotels, ride disney's transportation around, take our time, and don't rush to do anything or get anywhere. I know that many who live far away and thus have very different perspectives. but, I do encourage most to slow down and try to enjoy their time there, instead of constantly stressing about trying to see EVERYTHING. for those who can afford to take all or some of the extras in, great. for those who cannot, there are many things to see and do that doesn't require any additional expenditures.
While you do not want to over plan.. please make sure you plan. First time visitors often do not get this isn't an ordinary vaction in terms of preparation. I was a travel agent for 12 years and I can not tell you how many people..despite all my advice..despite the services we offered..just said..ah..we will be ok. Only to come back disappointed because they didn't plan in advanced. If you don't want to do the planning, then use a travel agent.
Niek Well when are you going to select your fastpasses, what if the restaurant you want needs reservations? What about finding the right meal plans? I agree don't go hog wild, but going in blind is just stupid. Plus a travel agent might have all sorts of good things.
There's a difference in planning and over planning. A lot hinges on how often you go to Disney as well. I live 3 hours from Disney, so I usually go multiple times a year. We are bringing my 2 year old this December for her first trip so that should be a new experience!! It's good to plan your fast passes and have a few things set up for sure like shows and meet and greets, but don't be a drill sergeant about it. I always plan out the first few hours around popular rides, set my fast passes for the afternoon, and plan for the shows I really want to see. Everything else comes as it comes.
me myself Planning is weird with me. Despite my warning to not go hog wild, I tend to. I will have everything planned to the second. I enjoy it. But the second things happen, I gladly throw the plan away and go on a tear.
Always pack a bathing suit no matter what the weather prediction is!! Made that mistake once...never again! Great tip on the mobile ordering, AJ! NO STROLLERS!!!!
So excited for the Dole Whip tip! I agree on the stroller. It would have been a burden to us. My daughter was 5 and 6 for the two times we went and a stroller was 100% not needed.
Ninja Master exactly! I needed the stroller. It’s a kids park lol so they will get tired. It helps to have your own stroller where the child can rest or even sleep.
enilas7 even a folding "umbrella" type stroller if they're big enough. The double wide kind with the bike wheels are very easy to handle. The double inline can be a pain but you can't beat the as storage. These people that complain probably didn't come from big families.
My rookie mistake not to make - if you've been to Walt Disney World and then head to Disneyland for the first time (or vice versa) do not assume they work the same way! I spent too much time being confused on my first Disneyland trip because I didn't bother to research it because "I know all about Walt Disney World!" I couldn't find the Haunted Mansion because there's no Liberty Square in Disneyland! Don't make that mistake!
This is an excellent point. Liberty Square doesn't exist in Disney World. Likewise, you only get beignets in Port Orleans French Quarter in Disney World! They are only in Disneyland and ooooh do we have some serious envy for those great looking beignets... Can't Tiana have a quick service counter yet....? Please....?
If you go to a restaurant called the Jazz Kitchen in Downtown Disney, (at Disneyland for those people who still call Disney Springs, Downtown Disney) serves great beignets. The restaurant is pretty pricey though, but they are truly delicious if you go!
My girls and I have a trip coming up in May and every time I feel over whelmed with info your voice helps me calm down and take things one at a time!! Thanks you for doing a great job!
Hexelyn, I used to work in a store and a lot of people from Europe tended to shop there. I had a brief conversation with an Australian (from Sydney) and thought he was English. He did not sound like an Australian at all. I then joked "Um, so how does a Kiwi sound to someone from Sydney?" The Aussie: "They sound a lot like Scots." I couldn't stop the laughs from coming!
Shhhh AJ! You're not supposed to let people know about the best kept secret in Disney World (mobile ordering), lol. Great video though and thanks for putting out such enjoyable content!
Great video thank you. I would also highly recommend 1 or even 2 portable chargers for your phone(s). You will likely be at the park all day, non stop moving, and using your phone to use the Disney mobile app. You won’t want to stop to charge. So between rides I’ll keep my phone plugged into my portable charger in a bag kept in the stroller. Charge it up while pushing the kids! :)
Yes! I know your comment is really old but my cousins had such a face on the first day because they didn’t go on Splash mountain! I laughed it off because The fireworks were nice but man they had such a face. I went to Disney in 2019.
not bringing your own water bottle to the park!! you can get free cups of water at any counter service to fill it, or just fill it at a water fountain. either way is a good way to stay hydrated and not pass out :)
melissa friedrich I agree. Why would you want to carry a bottle around all day? Even the ride queues have water fountains in them so there’s no need to carry anything.
Yeah if you like city water. I bring my own purified or spring water in my 32oz stainless canteens. With a little ice, your drinks stay cold for hours. Use a light weight backpack.
I love that you mentioned tipping your mousekeeping staff. So many people don't. I make envelopes ahead of time. One for each day with $5. It not a lot of money but they really appreciate it. They work so hard for so little.
It’s so funny reading the comments when other people say “Don’t bring young kids” “Don’t bring a stroller because it’s already crowded” like it’s Disney World, it’s LITERALLY designed for families if you are annoyed about all the strollers and toddler meltdowns maybe don’t go on a Disney vacation.
I agree 100%. The comments regarding “if your kid can walk you don’t need a stroller” annoy me. I’m sorry but even if your kid can walk they need a stroller. It’s way too much walking for an adult imagine a child.
Also don't make too many on the same day cause you are hurting others. I always read on some of the pages people who make multiple reservations on the same day and then release them as it gets closer. I just find that rude. I make my one reservation per day and live with it and if I want to change I see what is available. I don't want to be holding spots from people.
Tim Moore - I totally agree! When booking reservations and fast passes it would be nice (and I would think fairly simple) to incorporate a queue system that allows anyone to be put on a list. If someone cancels, or moves their reservation or Fastpass, the next person in the queue should automatically get that spot and notified via text or email. They will have the option to keep or release it before it automatically goes to the next person in the queue.
My rookie mistake as a parent of young kids (under age 9) was not taking them to the rest room BEFORE getting in line for a ride/attraction. Even if you ask your kids, "Do you need to use the rest room?" they will say no. Kids are always in a hurry to get to the fun. My young son and I lost out on a couple of prime Fast Passes because we had to leave the line and find him a rest room fast!
It took you an hour to go to the restroom? Fast passes can be used from 5 min before your time to an hour after your time. So if your fp is for 5:15 you can use it from 5:10 to 6:15. I might be off on the allowances for late and early but i know for sure that it is at least an hour
We loved this video. Thanks for the tip about "Resort Day". We have been saying we need to do this for years and we always forget to plan this. But, this trip for sure we are doing it! We usually take a flight early in the morning and get there before 12 on day 1 and our flight out is usually the latest possible flight on our last day. So with that being said, we decided that we would follow our flight schedule as planned, go to the resort first, then have a late afternoon/early evening dinner reservation. This allows us time to relax a little before heading straight in to the parks. We also try to schedule a half day during our trip to sleep in a little and stay late that night at any of the parks. We of course do this on those nights where there are extra magic hours, but, either way, it gives us enough time to kind of regroup and not feel like we are missing anything.
Also I just discovered this year instead of waiting to rent a stroller at any Disney park there is a stroller rental place you can rent stroller for the whole week and it is more comfortable for kids and comes with a free cooler. They will drop stroller off at any hotel and pick up stroller from hotel as well. It is orlando stroller rental. They have double strollers as well. Which we will be using his year. Oh did I mention it will save you about 100 bucks for the week?
Those balloons are awesome if you have a stroller. They last over a week, so you get one the first day you're there (not the mylar), and wrap it on the stroller. When you are on a ride and a cast member is moving the stroller parking around, its east to find your stroller when you come out.
Biggest mistake we made was assuming that the prices were cheaper than Canada, in Wal-mart, Target, etc. Yeah....no. We packed light because we were planning on buying a lot clothes, etc, down there. The prices are the same as up here but factor in conversion and it's more expensive!
dreadknot69 4 years ago, it was cheaper, even with the worst exchange rates.....but now you're very correct. Even the dirt cheap restaurants aren't what they used to be.
Great tips. I think I made all those mistakes except for the stroller. I didn't take my children til they were quite capable of walking (around 6). In the past, I purchased the Disney Dining Plan, made my reservations, then built my trip around eating. I won't do that again because I didn't have the flexability I wanted and I felt like I was eating all the time. All the vlogs I've watched about the DDP show you that you probably won't save you money. Now if a family is going and they are heavy eaters, it might be good for them. My next trip, I will budget what the plan costs, then purchase Disney gift cards from Sam's (discounted), charge the meals to my hotel, then pay my hotel bill with the gift cards. Also, I try to book my meals at many of the resorts. The food is usually better and less crowded. The best meal and best break I had was at Wave of American Flavors at the Contemporary.
Thank you for posting this really helpful video. My girlfriend and I are making our first pilgrimage to WDW in May, so we'll use this as a guide to making the experience that much greater.
Good point about not over planning, but, with the advent of the app and the 60 or 30 day fast pass booking, your compelled to plan far ahead just to make sure you don’t miss out. I loved the way it was years back when it just didn’t seem so busy and there were no fast passes 😍
I would also say a rookie mistake is trying to do everything on your first trip to WDW. Just know ahead of time that you absolutely won't be able to do everything and be ok with it. Just enjoy what you can do.
Great tips. I wasn’t aware that you can order the food through the Disney App, will definitely give it a try next time. And yes, I’d agree to plan for a down-time day, no rushing, just relaxing and enjoying the resorts/hotel amenities.
I thought the secret was going to be go inside to order. The line is usually shorter inside. But I'm so glad mobile ordering is now an option. I love that idea!
I know you want to share your Disney experience as soon as possible but I am so very thankful for my parents waiting a while and letting me go to smaller theme parks like kennywood or carowinds so that we can be smart about going through the park and I could remember stuff and it was actually a lot more fun as a teen and in my opinion worth it by far definitely more enjoyable for all of us this way
here’s a tip coming from someone who’s going back to disney world in less a week; go onto the rides during the shows, especially in magic kingdom! when there’s shows, ofc it’s gonna attract a hella lot of ppl and therefore the lines are shorter, so take advantage of those short lines! ;)
Love Mobile Order! Used it at Columbia Harbour House and avoided the lunch rush, plus we used yall’s tip and found plenty of seating upstairs! Thanks for all your tips and recommendations- we tried the mac and cheese bowls Animal Kingdom and they were amazing!
sun screen... use it even if it's jan. and cloudy esp. if your from some northern burb and white as the sheets. Tops of ears, and tops of feet if your wearing sandals. I've seen little ones and adults with feet so burned they couldn't walk, let alone put shoes on.
If its your first time visiting DW make sure you make a note of were you park the car in the car parks(they are very big), we normally take a picture of the lane number and name on our phone and also remember to factor in your budget cost of parking at Disney as its $30 dollars a day just for standard parking.
I would like to add another tip! Aside from the obvious of BRING PONCHOS. It is also very important to stick to your guns! If it rains DO NOT LEAVE THE PARK, the rain will stop because Florida weather is crazy. I have missed many days (including a Halloween party) because of rain. I would get to my hotel and the rain would stop, stick it out because the rain stops sooner than you think.
5 rookie mistakes if staying in a Disney Hotel: (1) Not taking advantage of the Extra Magic Hours - I usually plan what park to visit based on that. It makes a big difference to enjoy the park with less crowds even if not doing rides. (2) If you shop, take advantage of resort delivery. There is no need to be carrying bags all day nor to cram all the shopping on the last day. (3) Not taking advantage of hotel pre-check and magical express. If you are not renting a car at the airport, drop your your bags at your home airport and get them in your room! With kids that is awesome. Disney will text you when your room is ready. (4) Pack essentials in a small back pack. Depending when you get into the park and when you get your room, you could head into the park or use the pool. No need to sprawl your suitcases in the lobby. (5) Not taking advantage of advance reservations. I usually recommend people not to rent a car if staying inside Disney property. The hassle of parking taking the tram and walking to a hot car is often worst than taking the frequent Disney Buses. If you do need a car, rent one there only for the days you need it - it is very easy and almost always cheaper than at the airport.
We wore tennis shoes if it was clear outside. I carried the backpack and loaded it with cell charger, sunscreen, panchos, ice filled water bottles, socks, a drying cloth and a pair of sandals for each of us. When it starts to rain, off come the shoes and on go the sandals. When it stops, dry off, put socks and shoes back on. Easy peasy. It was better to carry everything rather than having to run from one end of the park to another when you get a locker. As heavy as i thought it would be, I never had an issue- due to the pack type/brand.
Strollers depends on the child. My 4 year old (almost 5) was fine walking around all day. We took breaks, etc. We had annual passes so we went a lot and he was used to walking and didn't want to be in a stroller. I do think that once a child reaches 6 or 7 they are too old for a stroller unless they have a medical condition. Kids need exercise! Just take breaks often, even adults need breaks.
Even with my breaks if my 4 year old walks too much he WILL be up all night crying because his legs are sore. He also walks on his tippy toes. Waiting on leg braces for that. But i plan to make him walk as long as possible.
Here is one for the handicap folks. Don’t rent the Disney ECVs. You can get them way cheaper at any number of Scooter rental places in Orlando that will deliver to your hotel. I rent one for $30 a day vs Disney’s $70.
My first adult trip to Disney 18 yrs ago was trying! My feet killed me! So preparing for my next trip in ‘12, I researched sandals via amazon. I ordered a pair of Teva’s thanks to a +comment by a customer. For that trip my feet didn’t hurt! I loved those sandals! I bought a pair every year since!
We love our Teva's too! We don't wear them all the time, but they are nice when you plan to only be in the parks for a few hours and not all day! This is especially true in the summer heat!
Great vid. Pertaining to your tip about shoes, one of my favorite memories going to DisneyWorld happened when my family and i were leaving the park. While we were in line for a shuttle, myself, my mom, and a couple other people noticed a man and woman entering the park, the woman sporting high heels. Immediately, my mom and a few other women next to us who we had not said anything to prior started giggling, talking about how that woman was totally screwed and how the man and her probably were dressed to impress rather than practically.
There are quite a few upscale Restaurants there where it's great for a splurge on a Special Occasion & dress up for Dinner And the Private Club also. ;)
AJ has given me a lot of good ideas. I always stay at a 2 or 3 bedroom villa because we have big family and enjoy each other's company. We go our own way and meet for dinner everyday. I also like to have the large refrigerator/freezer to freeze the water bottles with 3/4 water overnight. In the morning fill the bottle up wapith water
Bring a backpack and pack dollar store goodies. Goldfish, fruit snacks, bottle of water or two. Also a dollar store first aid kit. Throw some ibuprofen or Tylenol in there. My husband actually thanked me for carrying it because he had a terrible headache but didn't wanna make the family have to go all the way back to the hotel or pay the ridiculous $10 or whatever it was for a 2 pill envelope. He popped 2 ibuprofen that I brought, washed em down, and 20 mins later was good as new.
Lindsey Podd I am so grateful for my mom for doing that and it saved us a lot of money too with the snacks and water. Sandwiches legit save you $100 for lunch
Another one that I really wish I knew the first time i went is that you dont have to carry your purchases around the parks. You can have it sent to the front of the park and pick it up when you go to leave for the day, or if you're staying on property you can have them send it to your hotel room.i carried everything I bought around all day like an idiot the first time I went.
Huge shoutout to AJ, not even the biggest Disney guy, but something about AJ’s presentation has me hooked on the videos, at least I’m gunna be super prepared next time I go xD
Great video! The tips were super useful! I’m going to Disney this spring break and I am super excited! Your channel is really helping I would love a video on tips and things you can do on the My Disney Experience app. I have had the app for my past trips, but I’ve never been aware of all the things you could do on the app. Thank you so much!
I was there in June and wished I had known about this blog before I went. I made some of these mistakes but not all of them. This series of blogs is very helpful. I was super nervous in the planning stages, and was worried about making ‘rookie mistakes ‘. Funny I called them that before seeing this blog. If you’re planning a Disney Trip, and you’re a rookie, watch as many of these as you can. I wish I had....or I wish I had my money to do over...it’s like I wasn’t ready the first time. Ha ha.
I always see people in sandals with multiple straps and a band aid under each from all the blisters. Chacos are like the only sandals good for long distances. Better to just wear tennis shoes
Brian Riven my mom wore Chocos her first Disney trip and her feet look like they’d been run over. She had to by Sanuks midtrip and it made a huuuuge difference!
honestly regardless of what you think of the stroller issue, ima admit that as someone w younger brothers, it really does help to have a stroller! besides, even if your kid ain’t using it, you can just put your bookbags or something on it! just don’t leave them unsupervised especially if there’s valuable stuff in there like your wallet/money, phone, etc. :)
I would definitely not recommend renting one of those gigantic strollers... it is literally impossible to maneuver those through the park especially like say after fireworks... if you have a bigger a child I would just bring an umbrella stroller, super compact and easy to maneuver through the crowds
One thing that helped me a lot last year was a backpack with a hydration pack (camelback) for me and my daughter. Some times when walking around the park you need that extra time to spend it on the ride lines and not on a food court line for just a water bottle. Also, bring a mes kit. REI has great portable air kits and the staff will actually thank you for that!
Boy do I have to disagree with the stroller one! Too many times I am seeing 10 year olds being pushed in a stroller, its insane! Plus they take up way too much room in a street and I feel like im playing frogger just going from one ride to another. And I cant say how many times I am rammed into by one of these things by some mindless parent not even watching where they are going. Ive gone to DW many times with kids under 8 years old and they have had zero problems walking and running on their own, they dont need to be pushed around unless they are 4 or younger.
Nysguy2003, just got back from a trip last month, I've never seen so many strollers. It's out of hand. The park wasn't build to accommodate that much extra traffic.
Just because those kids didnt have a hard time walking that much doesnt mean all of them will. Its Disneyworld. Mainly made for damn kids. You're gonna see strollers. Boo hoo.
The plan downtime thing is so so important! I have a messed up spine and didn't plan a downtime day and ended up having to add an extra day to the trip because I couldn't walk. We were able to sleep in and ice and heat my back and went to Disney Springs for half the day. Honestly I don't think I would have made the last day of the trip without that.
Do you have a video on things to do at Disneyworld for just grown ups. I am going with my fiancé for a convention and my friend is meeting us there and we need grown up things to do.
I'm 16, but I have a lot of Disney World experience. Your best bet, if this comment isn't too late, is to go to EPCOT. More of the adult type dining experiences and events will be held there, and there are plenty of restaurants to dine at that are very nice. I don't know of many adult things at the Magic Kingdom, or really the other parks. I don't think the Food and Wine festival is happening. You could also look into scheduling one of the tours that they offer at Disney World. Sorry I can't be of more help.
I mean besides going for the Beer or Wine Flights around EPCOT, I don't really know what you would consider "grown up" in the parks outside of consuming alcohol. I guess thrill rides (?) And maybe special tours and educational things that little kids might not have the patience for?
Mobile Ordering is definitely Disney’s best kept “secret”. We had the same experience at Aloha Isle, where we needed some dole whip but apparently everyone else did too. so we mobile ordered and saved ourselves a good twenty minutes. definitely a good disney hack!
If you're going with a little toddler (around 2 or 3 years old), then AVOID all the indoor rides: even though they are aloud to ride them. All indoor rides are way too scary, loud, and overwhelming. Instead, the little ones will probably love all the entertainment, performances and meeting characters. I for sure recommend the breakfast with a character package! My girl wanted to go home because she told me the rides were too scary for her lol. Hopefully, in a few years she'll be excited to go again
Uhhhhh... maybe that's your child's experience. My son is four and has gone to Disney World six times in the last four years. He ADORES Nemo, Spaceship Earth, Imagination, Frozen, American Adventure, Test Track (which he can now ride), The Land, Soarin', Haunted Mansion, Peter Pan, Pirates, Winnie-the-Pooh, Carousel of Progress, the People Mover, small world, Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin, Toy Story Midway Mania, and more. He's always loved them -- to the point that his fourth birthday party was themed around The Haunted Mansion. I'm sorry your little girl had a negative experience, but that's definitely an oddball experience. I wouldn't be telling people to avoid all indoor rides with small kids. That's literally who they're designed for. Nearly all small children enjoy the rides that don't have height restrictions. Maybe some kids won't like Pirates or Haunted Mansion, but it sounds like your daughter's experience was extremely unusual.
Again you need to know your children and plan accordingly. One of mine frightens fairly easily. When I first took her she just turned 5. I made sure I explained each ride before going in so she knew whether it would be dark, up high (like Peter pan) and whether anything was going to pop out suddenly. She knew and could decide whether we rode or not. She chose to go on most of them and did just fine.
I went to Disney and universal when I was four and I went on all rides I was tall enough for (and I’m reasonably tall) it’s a shame your daughter didn’t like them but I’m sure she will in the future !
Depends on your kids really. We were talking about our trip last night and my 10 year old said he would be to scared to ride the Haunted Mansion(which he totally did and loved when he was 5) but my 3 year old couldn't wait to try it. To be fair my 3 year olds favorite movie is Nightmare Before Christmas, he loves all things dark and spooky. Honestly our biggest question is if he will sprout 2 inches before December so he can ride Star Tours. I think its just a matter of knowing your kids and what they can handle
The mobile ordering is fantastic. Regarding the stroller, just get a cheap umbrella type and be a Disney star and donate it after you go home. Two essentials, good shoes and water!
Ugh, I hate strollers in the parks., 😠 they crowd the walkways and most of the kids don't sit in them.. honestly if they're a baby or a toddler then yeah stroller is a must. But over 6yrs then you should've just splurged on good walking shoes, socks, a umbrella for shade, and take several breaks.. also don't over load on stuff.. also always have water and a rag to cool down
Yeah and some people don't care where they push it and they hit your heels and you ask them to slow down and they don't. Also wheelchairs. I understand that handicap people want fun experiences too, but when we went last December this lady's wheelchair wheel hit my moms heel and she had to limp through DISNEY WORLD. So annoying.
GlitterBomb30 00 I don't tend to have problems with wheelchairs but I've heard some bad stories with the scooters... and those frighten me just cuz I don't want my feet squished 😅
The last time we were at WDW (2014), there were three elderly ladies and one wheelchair they shared. We will be there Tuesday and Wednesday, next week.
Wow I remember back in 2009 when I went with my family. You talking about not being overplanned brought back the memories of running around with our daily plans! 😆 My parents even got the sheets laminated so we would ruin them 😂 It was great and I loved that trip though I don't think that kind of planning would pass nowadays lol
We have been in August and, yes, it's hot and sometimes crowded but we found the families with school age kiddos aren't as prone to be there. School starts towards the middle of August for most and that helps with crowd control. It's going to rain anyway, no matter your month. Go and enjoy!
If you can go early in the morning, and relax during the afternoon (maybe a waterpark, or nap/tea/coffee at a resort), and then go back in the evening. You'll avoid the crowds and heat of the day. Make sure to wear breathable clothes/shoes/etc and keep hydrated.
GET AN ECV if someone in your party struggles with walking the entire park an ecv is perfect!! You get from point a to point b quicker. Also you can get seats towards the front for certain attractions or even skip lines!! Most ecvs have enough room to fit a small child on the seat with whoever is riding, (depends on sizes an such) but I went with my mom a week before her emergency knee replacement. And instead of cancelling our trip, we rented a scooter! It’s a perfect solution, and can be cheap if you rent from outside of the hotel
Am I missing something about Dole Whip? I get that unless you have a soft serve machine, it's pretty hard to get anywhere other than WDW and Disneyland, and I also get that both parks are usually hot enough to cook an egg, but at the end of the day it's still just pineapple soft serve. There's no way I'm waiting almost an hour while I'm on vacation to get that, especially when there are options galore for amazing treats. Like I said, I know this is an unpopular opinion. So *please*, those of you willing to wait in those lines, explain the hype to this confused Disney veteran.
I always tell everyone that if they have young children in a stroller don't go. It is expensive, they won't remember it and the memories you will have will be no where near as positive as they will be if you wait till they are old enough to walk and understand what is happening around them. You could take small kids to a petting zoo or park and they would appreciate it just as much and you don't have to deal with the conjested stroller parking, crying because they don't understand waiting in the many lines, fatigue, hunger and over-all what will be a day spent wondering why you spent so much money doing something so stressful.
Small kids may be free but the adults definitely aren't! If you walk through the park you can hear all the crying and watch the tantrums. You can see all of the parents standing around looking defeated and wanting the day to end. This is NOT magical, happy memories...even if small kids are free. And the only one who will remember them will be the ones much older.
Ray-Cara Burt I took my kids when they were 6 and 7 ( they are 18 and 19 now) and they really don't remember anything. I took them the following 2 years and they remember small bits. I agree, parents should wait til their infants and toddlers are around 8 or older. I went the first time 40 years ago and I still remember bits.
Ray-Cara Burt im taking my 2 year old because it’s her birthday and even if she had breakdowns and doesn’t remember anything it’s still going to be a special trip.
I agree to an extent. I am taking my son, who is 5, in April. He may not remember every detail, but I will. I want to enjoy it with him when he's young and still finds it magical.
That black guy's face at 0:46 is priceless. It's the sudden realisation that you left college to hand over 'ice' cream that's 90% air and 10% sugar - for the rest of your Twenties.
I've mobile order before but it's so new that it's not something that I automatically do. I never thought about if the line is to long to mobile order. After this video was posted, I went to Animal Kingdom and I was starving so I mobile order Flame Tree Barbeque so it would be ready by the time I walk over there. When I got to Flame tree, there was a long line in the mobile ordering pick up line. I thought wow, everybody ordered at the same time. Nobody was moving. It was weird. I didn't want to be one that cuts in line but since nobody was moving or paying attention, I passed them and walked to the counter. While I was leaving, I saw people looking up at the menu and down at their phones. I figured out that people were mobile ordering in the mobile ordering pick up line. I don't think that how it's suppose to work, lol.
Thank you for the stroller comment! I got shamed for pushing my 5 year old in a stroller in NYC when we walked 10 miles a day all over the city! Definitely bringing one to DW this May!
If you go to the restaurant in person, you can cancel with no fee. I've done this when, I had to return to my room instead of going in to eat. I grabbed fast food to go.
My best Disney World tip. get an extra job and work nights to afford that place. I've lived in Florida near Disney for 40 years, and I'm still shocked at how expensive all the Orlando hot spots are. I used to go to Disney when it was $25 to get in, and they used "E-tickets" for the rides. Am I dating myself here?
Another rookie mistake is feeling like you have to be at the park from rope drop to fireworks. Some people love it! But it's nice to get out of the heat and take a mid-day break when the crowds are the busiest.
Its still alot of walking. Some 5 and 6 year olds are still taking daily naps. No parent wants to deal with a fussy kid. Stick their ass in a stroller and if they're tired enough they will pass out. Its disneyworld. You're gonna see kids and strollers. Boo fucking hoo.
Payton Munholland you sure are awfully hostile. If you’re taking this personally, don’t be the parent who uses their stroller as a battering ram and then boo hoo when others complain.
@@mindyschocolate Its disney..theres nothing but walking ..i agree w/ payton and care more abt my kids sake rather than strangers. Im not breaking me back carrying my 5 yr old throughout the park over someone elses comfort lol
Thank you for making this video! I went to Disney world over spring break and it was so crowded! However, we had a great time thanks to your tips! Especially the mobile order! Thank you very much!!!
We're OLD; 71 and 69. Hit the park at "rope drop" [That's at 8 with Early Magic Hours]. Enjoy the cool morning and low crowds. Have a nice lunch and go back to the room for naps. You also avoid the afternoon monsoon, too.
ok wtf. that’s the same age as my grandparents and you guys have the same last name what!
Bridget Clement is too-!! Swan and Dolphin 😁
Tom, that sounds like a wonderful day x
I'd say another rookie mistake is staying in the parks all day with young kids. I found it worked best if we went in during the morning, then went back to the hotel after lunch and swam/napped/etc, then went back in before dinner. That way the midday meltdown happens at the hotel and not in the middle of the park!
I think everyone could use a midday nap. I've got a few planned for just me and my husband on our upcoming trip lol
thaaeroprincess87 my wife and I took naps most days. Even if I didn't fall asleep, it was good to get off my feet and away from the crowds.
Magic Kingdom is basically the attack of the strollers
Welcome to the kingdome
I got my foot run over by an irate dad with a stroller at Animal Kingdom when my mom cut him off to get in line and I hurried to follow her so we stayed together.
I also got my heel scraped when a woman got right behind me in a store in Epcot and I nearly fell over.
You are so right magic kingdom is the worst.
Bridget Clement Kids alone are a nightmare. I had kids running under my leg and two got lost the last time I was there. Parents and kids hate the leash but that’s one place I think it should be used
So true 😹
Skip the dole whip in MK. Take monorail to Polynesian and get one there. Sit down and enjoy those views!!! Do this when park is most crowded.
Edward Campitelli can you get the Dole Whip swirl at the Polynesian? My wife had the Dole Whip without the vanilla swirl and we both weren't fans.
agon1963 I’m almost positive they offer everything the MK does. Lemme do some research to make sure.
Edward Campitelli there's a Dole Whip kiosk (Tamu Tamu I think) in Animal Kingdom that offers the original (without the vanilla swirl) but you can get it with alcohol.
agon1963 here’s what I got from their webpage
“Pineapple Lanai
Savor a taste of island sunshine with the legendary frozen treat known as DOLE WHIP®. Enjoy traditional soft serve swirls and floats, which are also available in souvenir Tiki Sippers or Bowls. Located just outside the great Ceremonial House at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort”
Hopefully that helps!!
Edward Campitelli thanks for checking.
O yes definitely a rookie mistake hahaha. I did the same thing.. 5 DAYS IN A ROW. WE WERE DONE and couldn't enjoy it to the fullest
Oof same but we did 4 parks in 3 days😬so magic kingdom only on the first day, Epcot and Disney Hollywood studios the second day and animal kingdom the third day
And there is me.... six days at universal followed by six days in Disney world...
I can relax after the vacation.
I’m doing 4 parks in 4 days. I’m scared now
May I add #10, Rain Ponchos! Do yourself a favor and bring rain ponchos.
Shaun Wintheiser and small umbrellas and ziplock baggies for your wallet, tissues, and camera.
Shaun Wintheiser Oh yes! I can definitely agree with this!
HAVE the Ponchos before you get there! I did this and we never had to worry about the rain, and the kids loved going through the parks when everyone else stopped.
Or go in dry season.
Or just don''t be a pansy
Two tips of my own!
1) You can bring water bottles and ask for a water cup at any food stand/restaurant! Saved a lot of $ on water and bought slushies instead :P
2) Leave a bit earlier for Magic Kingdom! You must take a monorail or ferry to get to the park which will add time.
or take the monorail thru the resorts to the parking lot (be at your car in 10-15 mins instead of 50-75 waiting waiting for the monorail or ferry at closing.
no you dont you can take a bus
also the monorail and boat are faster
Awesome tip!
I did not know this but that is an awesome tip.
Genius!
What a great tip!!! Thanks!
Didn't think I could learn anything more about Disney......there's one.
We do spend all day in the parks but we still find the EMH brilliant
If your thighs rub together when you walk wear long enough shorts where you don't have skin on skin contact. If you forget bring baby powder
Samantha Tiburtino..Gold Bond has stick f gor crtiction that is great for inner thighs and for your ankles.
I always bring an extra stick of deodorant just for my thighs! Reapply throughout the day, no chub rub!
spiralout72 nothing better than a cool freshly powered ball bag.
Drink lots of water! I avoided heat exhaustion/heat stroke by doing that.
TheWolfspirit22 And ice water is available for free at every counter service in the parks! Disney doesn't want anyone passing out!
Jeffrey Root Can you walk right up to the counter service table to get the water or is there a line for that too?
And you can use your "Meal Plan" snacks for water! I didn't know that when we went, so we bought a lot of water we could have had for "free". Duh!
You will have to wait in line for free water, so don't wait until it's too late
Getting wet is part of the experience lol
Oh my gosh! Yes please do a packing video. Our trip is next month and I am not sure about weather and clothing. Love your videos!
Elizabeth Chattin we’ve got it coming up!
Look at weather app or look up WESH-they are a local Orlando tv station. I have been cold in April. I rode water rides Christmas 2017.
Biggest Rookie Mistake: Thinking you can afford to go to Disney when you really can't.😮 🤔
Where's that from? It's $300 for nonstop from Portland OR, and that's a looooong distance.
I love the 'My Disney Experience' app! Saves me so much time!
If you don't want to do the planning, then use a travel agent.
what the hell should you plan? Just go there, go to the park you want and have fun. It's like the simplest vacation there could ever be
Niek Well when are you going to select your fastpasses, what if the restaurant you want needs reservations?
That sounds familiar. LOL
Always pack a bathing suit no matter what the weather prediction is!! Made that mistake once...never again! Great tip on the mobile ordering, AJ! NO STROLLERS!!!!
jackpast haha yes the one thing the park doesn't need.... MORE STROLLERS!
So excited for the Dole Whip tip! I agree on the stroller. It would have been a burden to us. My daughter was 5 and 6 for the two times we went and a stroller was 100% not needed.
What's wrong with strollers
You have the loveliest voice! 😍. I’m a huge Disney fan from Scotland and your videos keep me going between visits 👌
Hexelyn1 thank you!
Yes BRING A STROLLER I'm 16 and wish I could sit in one and not have to walk
Juliaruby 10 Ok that’s a mood
Juliaruby 10 when I was 5 I went to Disney world and I walked
I was so upset when my kids outgrew the stroller ha ha. It was easier on them than walking, and it gave me a place to carry more stuff 😀
Juliaruby 10 lmao
Break your legs, then you can just use a wheelchair!
Shhhh AJ! You're not supposed to let people know about the best kept secret in Disney World (mobile ordering), lol. Great video though and thanks for putting out such enjoyable content!
Agreed!!! I was thinking the same thing!!! SSSSHHHHHH!!! No one else used it and I had NO WAIT at all!! :):)
how do I get mobile order ??
You cannot!! Forget you ever saw this
So I know about it but I never use it. I'm so bad.
Where do I find the mobile food app?
Great video thank you. I would also highly recommend 1 or even 2 portable chargers for your phone(s). You will likely be at the park all day, non stop moving, and using your phone to use the Disney mobile app. You won’t want to stop to charge. So between rides I’ll keep my phone plugged into my portable charger in a bag kept in the stroller. Charge it up while pushing the kids! :)
And you can get 2 of them for $20 from amazon...
rookie mistake: complaining in the most magical place on earth!!
Less waste if you bring a reusable water bottle.
does anybody else get emotional during a Disney World video...just me?....oh
Me too
I can watch them all day!
Super emotional.
You're not alone lol.
Thomas BeanEater me too! It’s what I do in between trips for my post Disney depression!
THISSSSSS
thank you
True! Its magic kingdom, designed for the small kids, go to universal studios if you dont like a lot of strollers around you
Best reply ever.
Tim Moore yeah so true
Tim Moore Thanks for sharing!
Same with fast passes
Tim Moore I think Disney had a 1 hour dining cancellation policy or something like that. I've always stuck with my reservations.
I had a similar experience at the Dole Whip stand. Such a long line but I did my order on the app and I got it in less than 5 minutes.
I thought the secret was going to be go inside to order. The line is usually shorter inside. But I'm so glad mobile ordering is now an option. I love that idea!
I know you want to share your Disney experience as soon as possible but I am so very thankful for my parents waiting a while and letting me go to smaller theme parks like kennywood or carowinds so that we can be smart about going through the park and I could remember stuff and it was actually a lot more fun as a teen and in my opinion worth it by far definitely more enjoyable for all of us this way
THANK GOD FOR MOBILE ORDER. Can't wait to use it in June especially for DOLE WHIPS :) :) Definitely a time saver!
671JH We’re going in June too! So excited!
IM GOING JUNE 23!!!!!
Did you have a good time?
here’s a tip coming from someone who’s going back to disney world in less a week; go onto the rides during the shows, especially in magic kingdom! when there’s shows, ofc it’s gonna attract a hella lot of ppl and therefore the lines are shorter, so take advantage of those short lines!
When I was a kid we didn’t pick what we ate you just ate what your parents did
jeez u musta ate alot of humble pie haha
If its your first time visiting DW make sure you make a note of were you park the car in the car parks(they are very big), we normally take a picture of the lane number and name on our phone and also remember to factor in your budget cost of parking at Disney as its $30 dollars a day just for standard parking.
Taking a pic of the parking lot section name and roll number is a must!
I like that you mentioned to tip the housekeeping, most people don't think about that.
I didn't realize that the fast.
pass was included in our ticket until the day before we went. You can reserve ride times 30 days in advance!
We always have a Disney Springs day where we sleep in and go shop at Disney Springs maybe go to a park at night that has emh
AJ I love your videos! I work in an office and sit here and listen to your videos all day every day!
Considering I haven't been to Disney in 7+ years so I needed this for my trip coming up, thanks a million!
As usual The Wise Woman gives BEYOND WONDERFUL advice!
AJ; I just have to say that you have the most soothing, enjoyable voice to listen to! :)
Here is one for the handicap folks. Don’t rent the Disney ECVs. You can get them way cheaper at any number of Scooter rental places in Orlando that will deliver to your hotel. I rent one for $30 a day vs Disney’s $70.
Nooooo. Don’t endorse stroller use. There are enough already Lol.
Its alot of walking. Especially for an adult. Imagine for a kid.
Its disneyworld. You're gonna see kids and plenty of strollers. 🙄🙄
BEST TIME TO GO IS 3RD WEEK IN SEPTEMBER. KIDS IN SCHOOL AND SHORT LINES IS THE BENEFIT 👍
We're going to WDW Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday next week.
We literally go next week! ❤
GUYS! It’s fine everyone has their opinions, just wear whatever shoes are comfortable to you!
I walk 6 miles a day in chacos
honestly regardless of what you think of the stroller issue, ima admit that as someone w younger brothers, it really does help to have a stroller! besides, even if your kid ain’t using it, you can just put your bookbags or something on it! just don’t leave them unsupervised especially if there’s valuable stuff in there like your wallet/money, phone, etc. :)
I would definitely not recommend renting one of those gigantic strollers... it is literally impossible to maneuver those through the park especially like say after fireworks... if you have a bigger a child I would just bring an umbrella stroller, super compact and easy to maneuver through the crowds
They make good People Movers or People Runner Overs! Really have to be on your toes to avoid being run over on a busy day!
But you don't know EVERY kid. Just because it works for your kids doesn't mean it works for everyone.
Just because those kids didnt have a hard time walking that much doesnt mean all of them will.
Its Disneyworld. Mainly made for damn kids. You're gonna see strollers. Boo hoo.
Complaining about strollers at Disney World is like complaining about wheelchairs at a retirement home.
Do what ever you want! Go on rides, buy food! Anything!
I'm on a Disney World RUclips binge right now. Going for the first time next month.
Mobile order is genius!
There are some outdoor rides that they might like (not as loud, dark, or overwhelming), like the teacups or dumbo
Uhhhhh... maybe that's your child's experience.
Yukosan13 anything with wheels in genral
The last time we were at WDW (2014), there were three elderly ladies and one wheelchair they shared. We will be there Tuesday and Wednesday, next week.
Thank you so much.. I'm planning our first family trip and this was awesome to stumble upon .
My whole morning is made🙌🏻 you guys make the best Disney videos!!!
Wow I remember back in 2009 when I went with my family. You talking about not being overplanned brought back the memories of running around with our daily plans! 😆
My parents even got the sheets laminated so we would ruin them 😂
It was great and I loved that trip though I don't think that kind of planning would pass nowadays lol
Anyone else going in August? 😁
Samantha Ingersoll went this month and going back this October!
I wouldn't do it. Unbearably hot humid and rainy that time of year
PostalFA thanks for the optimism 😒 I'm just greatful I can go to Disney world at all.
I feel the same way! I finally tried one last time I was there and thought, what's the big deal??? Thankfully that line wasn't too long!
I’ve seen pineapple dole whip all over Florida, like at a strawberry farm! But the lime dole whip is just at Disney.
Planning my first trip to Disney in 16 years. Thank you. Very helpful.
Ray-Cara Burt I think kids under 3 are free or really cheap and this promotes parents to bring their infants and toddlers.
Is it possible the lengthening lines are because the staff are too busy filling mobile orders to take care of the people in line?!
They probably got separate staff working on mobile orders.
Yes. Technology punishes those who want human interaction.
Another rookie mistake is feeling like you have to be at the park from rope drop to fireworks. Some people love it! But it's nice to get out of the heat and take a mid-day break when the crowds are the busiest.
Bekah Hart NEVER EVEN ATTEMPT THAT. My mom tried that when I was six. My feet were crying in pain
May as well get your money's worth when you're on the most expensive holiday ever
For the sake of EVERYONE ELSE IN THE PARK, if your kid is old enough to walk, don't crowd the path with another stroller.
