I like it cranked for church cause if cuts through especially for upbeat songs so I tune the bottom snare and the top head tighter than the typical snare. I also have some moderate dampening on the snare so the overtones aren’t going crazy. Hope that helps

DPA’s on Tom’s kick, and overheads, they sound great. Beyerdynamic M201 , we also have a FET 47 clone on the kick
