Reflection MSAA only seems to work for cubemap reflections in the game, so just reflections outdoors that do not include bodies of water or mirrors, it's easier to spot how it affects reflections during night time and rainy weather
I seriously cannot recommend this video enough. Only a small visual downgrade but the trade off for a crazy massive fps boost plus still looking pretty good is amazing
This is crazy. I've tried about every trick in the book, I've spent days of my life trying to get answers. I assumed that with my setup, it was either the games fault or an issue with my PC. I had no idea how taxing the shadows were. I always assumed my fps drop was due to ultra grass and mods and I wasn't willing to lower it but just seeing the difference in fps between the settings has got me itching to do some testing

Pretty impressive Video! I was a bit sceptical at first but it actually worked and boosted my FPS from ~60 to ~90! Very good preparation for the upcoming GTA Online DLC 👍
from 30 fps to 75 fps at 3k using a ryzen 3 3200g, 32 gb ram and a rx 570 4gb. You made my day, i also recomend trying directx 10.1, it can get you 10+ fps
@@Euzuto GTX 970 4GB paired with i5-7500, and recently I've come to realize that my CPU is quite a bottleneck when paired with the GTX 970. The i5-7500 is relatively weak in handling graphically intensive games such as GTA 5, resulting in a rather low average fps like that I obtain. Once, I lent this VGA to my friend's PC, which was equipped with a Ryzen 5 5600X. Without utilizing graphic optimization as shown in this video, the system was able to achieve an average fps up to 120! This indicates that the CPU plays a significant role in supporting the graphic capabilities of the GPU to either create a bottleneck or to support the VGA to its maximum capability.

Thanks, managed to run this in native 4K on an OLED on my old-ass GTX 1070. Mostly in the 50fps and no lower than the 40s in complex conditions. Very good for such old hardware

Wrong, textures on Xbox and PS4 are High with 4x Anistrophic Filtering, the difference between high and very high is very high is more sharper, you can compare this to world textures and will see it
Hi, I have a really low end pc and I barely made 20 fps with the settings I had, now I was even able to pu reflection quality to high and get 25 to 30 fps, thanks (i know it doesn't sound like a lot but between 20 and 30 fps there is a very noticeable difference)
actually its a big diffrence bro i also have a low end pc it gave around 15-20 fps on 1080p and about 50-60 on 800x600 but after i installed a performance mod it went from 15-20 to 30-40 1080p and 50-60 to around 84 -90 range in 800x600 but being able to play 1080p with even 40 fps is better than 20 fps ngl

I had been following an older guide for 4k on RTX 3060 12gb model, but thats a few years old now and games always changing. Having a 4k tv for PC screen means i only need 60Fps. Using this guide and some testing will allow me to freestyle the settings a little, set a baseline and tweek it from there. Thanks and a like
using a TV for gaming is the worst thing you could ever do. imput lag is terrible (at least 15ms) you will play better on a cheap 1080p 75hz 22 inch monitor cost around 100 bucks brand new

So that said playing FPS games or anything competitive is always trash already. So I have two options Die at high FPS low resolution or Die at Low FPS high resolution, at least it will be as good as the game as i can set it, with an RTX 3060 on 4k TV @4k So worst yes, will it make a difference not really, not with all the controller auto aimers anyway and esp the lag. GTA V also has this weird issue with fps where if you alt+tab game atleast once since starting it, you'll gain like 10-15fps more consistently, don't know why.
As far as I can remember on release disabling Depth of Field on PC was actually broken - in cutscenes you could still spot ugly blurred edges on characters and objects (basically where the focus is supposed to be when DoF is on) in comparison to PS3/Xbox 360 where cutscenes didn't had any DoF to begin with. Curious if that bug still persist, though
it's not a bug, DoF is enabled by default on the next gen releases of the game during cutscenes and when you set the Post FX setting below high, the DoF blur is replaced with bloom with causes the extremely blurred image and washed out image and yup, it's still in the game

I wanted to give GTA5 a proper playthrough in preparation for GTA6, but I was horrifically confused at how maxing out the game on PC could cause my FPS to dip into the 20s at 1440p. I'm running an Arc A770 16gb which doesn't play nice with older games, but I knew for sure its not that bad either. Following the optimized settings in your guide, I was able to run the in-game benchmark and get dramatically higher framerates without much of a cut to quality. Outside of encountering a dip to the 50s as a .01% low, its been a pretty smooth 70s to 100+FPS!
msaa making grass semi transparent gets fixed when restarting the game, i can say from experience since i play on 1440p with msaax4 and that issue isnt present on my end, another point reflection msaa only works on vehicles and buildings glass/windows not on mirrors.

Yo sick vid man i basically got the same specs as you besides abit better of a cpu and i’ve been playing and most of my settings on the lowest they can go besides textures and after changing to these settings my game looks heaps better and i only dropped 20fps
anisotropic is not broken, u just need to turn on aplication controlled in nvidia, but it can off itsefl to fix just turn off then turn 16x again in game

That's why TAA is the standard right now, and for good reason.

aye bro, I really appreciate you, and all the effort you put into this, these optimizations have worked just fine for me, and I have used them In a couple different games that you have uploaded and the difference Is very noticeable, also I play on a 60 hz 4k tv with my laptop plugged to It, and 60hz actually feels smooth as butter, even though I have played on 240hz before, I also wanted to ask for an optimization video for FC 24 If possible, Thanks!
