This kit is perfect for leveling your JK, and adding just a touch of lift to compensate for aftermarket bumpers or full size spare.
Fits all JK Wranglers including Rubicon and Unlimited. Dennis walks us through the ease of install.
"increase in self esteem....immeasurable."
DORKY AS HELL.
I jacked up one side at a time for my 2012 rubicon. Didn't have to disconnect the front drive shaft. Jack up one side of front axle -- high enough to lift the tire. Put a jack stand under the frame. Remove the tire. disconnect sway bar, lower shock bolt, 10mm brake line mount. then lower the front axle to the ground....voila! Then jack up axle level so the sway bar is easy to reconnect. Put the front tire back on, then repeat for the other side. I only did the front with 1" spacer to level it out.
I've had my eye on this kit for a while.
After watching this video I'm definitely buying and installing one along with a set of new shocks.
Thanks for the awesome video. It's a real help to folks who may be on the fence over doing stuff like this.
I love to see what kind of parts are made for the real cars out there
great vid and tutorial. it wouldve been nice if you had shown us a before and definitely after shot of the jeep.
Johnny Alonso I've got one on my channel using it with 305s
Awesome. Great Video Teraflex.
But, why you don't show how it looks at the end? You leaved me wondering...
old12school3 Solved. Lol.
Same here?????
I've got a video on my channel showing it if you are interested.
just added, 6hrs with floor jacks, great video
I notice he puts grease ports on but doesn't add grease. I just bought this exact set up. Do I need to grease those after or before install or they ready greased?
Brooke, watch out for the creepy dude in the jeep behind you. Looks very suspicious.
Another question for you, I am going to buy your Front Sway Bar disconnect for my 2016 JKU with the performance spring leveling kit installed, Do I need to get longer front brake lines? Not going to do any rock crawling just going down dirt roads and up hills to find some remote camping sites.
I didn’t have to remove the track bar to install the spacer just the shocks and sway bar links.
That was a great instructional vid (what I like Utube best 4).
Here's wishing U had a vid on the "Low 20B" for my Bronco's D20.
I'd go the cost for that kit if havin a vid showing the process. Printed instructions don't work so well 4 me (just did Advance Adapter's NV3550 Bcuz they hada vid @ Tom's Bronks, Medford, OR) but the vid didid 4 me! I'd even buy ur product frm a drop ship vendor like Wild Horses!
Thanks'n keep em comin!
Funny how you can tell how a Rubicon has been offroading. Mine doesn't look like that underneath, my red shocks are chipping, everything has a good amount of mud on it.
What is the resulting lift on a Rubicon (2017 JKU), because I think my old TJ Rubicon came an inch higher than the non-Rubicon, is there a difference here with this leveling kit with a 2017 JKU Rubicon?
I put this kit on my 2015 JK over the weeknd. After i was done i took it for a drive and all was good. noticed the steering wheel was off a little bit so i corrected that. The next morning, i was driving to work and when i made a left and right turn the Traction control little flickered and it did not do that before i corrected the steering wheel. would that have caused that or did i mess something up? I am worried. This was my first big project i have done by my self
I just purchased this kit along with some fox performance 2.0 shocks that are for a 1.5- 3.5 lift and some Mickey Thompson Baja ATZ 285/70R/17 tires.
Do I need to do a wheel realignment after the install?
No, just center the steering wheel by turning the adjustment on the drag link at the steering gear.
Dennis
Thanks!
Do you have to get the alignment done after installation? I want to keep my stock tires for now, but want to level it.
Yes you need one. or you will have improper ware on your tires.
Panthers1521
+Panthers1521 That is actually not true in this case.
Getting ready to put 295/70/R18 on my unlimited JK. Would this give me enough room to take off-road ?
No need for shock upgrade ? If so would I need 2inch lift shocks in the front and 1" lift shocks for the back ?
Is an alignment required after install?
#TeraFlexSuspensions is it ok to do some moderate wheeling with this kit?
Hello
I use the 1.5" Leveling kit for my jku and they work great with my 33" Tires.
And now I'm thinking of switching to 35" tires, can I add 1" or 2" upgrade to my existing kit?
It would depend on what kit and related parts you have; if you can reach out to our customer service team at 801-713-3314 and we can dive into your options.
What do you call that driver attachment that let's you drill at an angle?
TeraFlex I have installed this kit on my 2018 JKU Willys. the rear suspension seems super stiff like jolting. Did I miss something or is this normal? Seriously every bump is a thud on the rear of the Jeeep.
There may be something not in it's place. Please give out team a call to discuss. 801-713-3314
What kind of jack is Dennis using to raise the axle?
can I install a 2" levelling kit with 1.5" spacers to install 35's with 20" wheels?
I have purchased and installed. Will a 305/65r18 tire work without spacers? I've been told by a shop that it'll be fine.
Yes that tire will work without our offset wheel adapters "spacers", but the stance is wider with the spacers and looks more aggressive.
WHeel adapters give a wonderful look, no doubt about it but there is a negative side too, Those will be harder on your bearings and Ball joints and they'll wear out much faster.. Just a tought to keep in mind... Have fun!
Anybody know if I could do this one corner at a time? As in, raise front and rest on stands, lower one side of axle, install lift and move to other side of front axle, done with front, repeat on rear. Would that work?
Yes, that will work just fine.
I have a 2012 liberty. I want to lift it 2in. Could this work on it?
Sorry this kit is only for the JK wranglers.
thanks
if I order this kit and don't insert the metal sleeve into the longer supplied sway bar links will a teraflex quick disconnect pin fit instead of the factory bolt?
Yes it will.
Do we need torque specifications for the suspension bolts? Installing this weekend
They will be factory torque specs on anything that does not have torque specs in the instructions.
Does it matter if those bolts are not torqued to specs?
C W No, you can actually just finger tighten them. I'm sure nothing would go wrong.
No final results pic??? 😞😞
what size tire can I run with this lift? i heard you say up to 33s but what about section width (i.e. 10 inch or 12.5 inch)
+Zack Paiva 33", or 34" if you never plan to take it off-road.
+TeraFlexSuspensions I was ask what size width can you run like 33x10r17 or 33x12.5r17?
+Zack Paiva Either of those widths will work, but the 12.5 may run on your splash guards a little.
will this change fuel economy? and will the speedo be thrown off ?
+Ben Bourcier Any changes will be very minimal with fuel economy. The only changes that will occur with your speedometer will come with tire changes.
Yo...I thought will I have to remove my speedo to install. So the verdict is I can leave my speedo on correct?
will you need wheel spacers for factory wheels with this kit?
Justin Miller Only if you go with a tire taller than 305.
How tight would that 305 (33.81") be? Would a 34x10.5 (unmounted dia.) work without rubbing?
Running spacers puts more load on the hub, bearings, than offsetting the rim. because it is moving the weight center further from the hub. Most tire places wont touch them, or even do your alignment.
is this the right lift for my 15 jeep wrangler unlimited sport????
+Romelious Desmus Maximus It will work on your JKU but deciding whether or not it is right, is up to you!
+TeraFlexSuspensions 👍 thank you
Can I run a 33x12.50r17 tire with this leveling kit?
***** you can run 33's stock. 35's is when you need to start lifting.
The 33-inch height will fit stock, but the wider tire will rub the sway bar and/or frame.
You will need to get new rims with a offset the original rims will make the tire rub.
If you are looking to get new rims i suggest discount tire direct.
Can you keep the factory shocks?
***** Yes you reuse the factory shocks with this kit.
Well looks like ill be ordering one next week, thanks for the reply.
Who is that creepy guy in the Jeep in the opening shot, behind Brooke?
Michael J That would be our Dennis.
teraflexsuspensions Good to know. This was the first TeraFlex vid I watched, so I was a little creeped out (Jeeped out) ... I watched some more Dennis videos and now I think I get the... er.. humor :P
+TeraFlexSuspensions +Michael J - Dennis is freaking awesome! His videos are great and he has an almost cult like following in Jeep circles.
At the end when Brooke says that this will fit a 33" tire, does that mean with swaybar disconnected? I have 33x12.5's with 3.75" backspace and right now I have minor fender contact with swaybar connected.
Thanks for the feedback!
But you didn't answer my question?
Yes you might have some minor rubbing when you are flex out with that size of tires.
My dad wants to lift our jeep just a bit so he sometimes makes me look up stuff. I guess they do look somewhat better when lifted. Anyway I’ve got a reading suggestion. It’s Acts from the Bible. Just a suggestion and in the end you decide whether you read or not since you are your own person
how bout putting these instructions on your paperwork???? what a waste of time, should have check you tube first
There are detailed instructions inside the box with photos etc
Cuanto cuesta ese kit ?
$162.44
MCE flexible fenders and this you can get 35's go the performance one though
Embarrassingly easy? K
do you need bump stops? and how does this work with the rubicon electronic swaybar disconnect?
yes and yes
Do i need to pay for a wheel alignment after installing 1” on the front?
didn't notice a difference when I did mine. Steered exactly the same
No, the install of this kit does not change any angles or lengths enough to warrant an alignment.
No, anyone can pay for it. It doesn't have to be just you.
if you choose to just install 1 inch spacer in the front, is the sway bar end links still suggested to be changed?
+Charles Watson Your factory ones will be okay with the 1" spacer only in the front.
