The disrespect for the Group of 5 is unreal. I swear, P5 fans, especially SEC fans treat the G5 like it's NAIA ball. You say that suites aren't common in G5 stadiums (they are). You imply most G5 stadiums don't have nice exteriors (they do). Sure there are some pretty run down G5 stadiums (see: New Mexico. But even that has suite seating). But people forget that the G5 is FBS, just like P5. We never hear any slander about Vanderbilt or Indiana. How about them? Or is it just because they're SEC and B1G that they get a pass? It's such a stupid mindset.
The G-5 game day experience is way nicer too. With plenty of elbow room you don't have to worry about the 400 lb. mouth-breathers crowding out a whole row of seats like you do in the SEC.
Yeah I'm going to to apologize for my fellow SEC fans and let you know that the whole "SEC superiority" crap gets on some of our nerves too. Sorry about that.
I have been to most of these. #10 Protective Stadium in Birmingham, Al. is way nicer than just about all of the ones on this list. By the way, it seats 47,000, so it is not small by any means.
I'm a Wyo grad. Love seeing games at the war. They've completed a lot of great improvements and renovations over the last several years that you should see. Great views and atmosphere for college football. That said, the concessions and restrooms under the stands are ancient. I have to admit Colorado State's new stadium is pretty awesome and really should have found a spot on your list. It's completely modern, brand-new feel, etc. Probably at least top five. It cost the university over $200 million to build.
UAB got a new stadium because: 1. Legion field is literally falling apart 2. The cut this FB program and their donor giving plummeted, so they brought it back
Love the Glass Bowl! I do objectively think it’s a better stadium than a few on this list, but after looking at the stadiums about halfway through the list, I was pretty sure it wouldn’t be included here in the top half. It really could use some renovation on the east side upper bleachers. Maybe if a MAC team gets into the NY6 this year.
Yes Protective Stadium does have a smaller capacity, but there has been talk about adding a second level deck all the way around except for where the Boxes are, in addition adding more private sky boxes and a private sky club, plus adding a third level around the North Endzone and Eastern Stands, these are opposing the Scoreboard Endzone, and the boxes already there, this is to attract an NFL expansion team, or a relocation

2 Things. 1: Love that the War got put in, would love to see it grow. 2: Air Force's stadium is on the Air Force Academy base in Colorado Springs, Colorado, definitely not the middle of nowhere.
Two stadiums I'm familiar will be going up this ranking are Charlotte and Appalachian State. Charlotte only started with a nice 15,000 seat stadium beginning in FCS. Now FBS the stadium will be expanded to 40,000 seats with an upper deck around three sides and VIP seating. Appalachian State is expanding the visitors side with another huge VIP upper deck and press area. Complex looks nice in the pics they've posted.
The biggest issue with Fresno State is both endzones have roads right behind them there's a shopping center behind one endzone and a apartment complex behind the other and none of this stuff is owned by the college ... I used to live pretty close to it I had to walk past it every morning to catch the bus when I was in high school ... I'll say this however they also have an amazing basketball stadium that's bigger than some NBA areas and Fresno is very large in terms of population ... Fresno State could be a P5 candidate in the next decade
😊 at War Memorial Stadium in Laramie Wyoming the lower deck on the west side is already been torn down and they are renovating it putting in a whole bunch of new seating and dining areas. The renovation is costing in the millions of dollars

SMU as of today will be joining the ACC next year. Now as for the future......SMU & the Big 12 will be doing business. I don't know why he keeps hyping up Air Force tho lmao. Must have some money on them or some family on the team.....
Your list is trash. you mentioned Airforce and Westpoint.. which are basically high school stadiums in the middle of no where. but said nothing of the Naval academy... Which is a stadium made of marble.... please actually go to said stadiums or research all of them.
Should have had App State instead of SMU. The only thing going for SMU is the move to P5, which kind of makes them irrelevant to a G5 list. App's seating arrangement may leave something to be desired (though I think they're planning another renovation) but they pack it and the scenery/environment is hard to beat.
