Putting a garden shed on casters is GENIUS! It just makes so much sense for a home observatory.

Interesting stuff. Having built my own observatory, created the control electronics and written the control software, I'm just in the process of re-modeling it in a remote site, a local field. There's no electricity supply, so it will all be battery powered. There is a 3g mobile signal, so I'll have an internet connection. Lots of moisture around and the sea is one mile away. I thought my biggest problem was going to be reliable remote automation, but I've decided it will be corrosion. So having been lucky enough to be an astrophotographer for five years, I will need to research anti corrosion techniques in order to continue being an astrophotographer. It's important to have new challenges. All depends on what gets you by in life.

@@luboinchina3013 Because it's not Astrophotography. It's a pay for service. Not astrophotography. More like astro-copy & paste........ It's a waste of a youtube vid and makes the photographer (Peter) look like a buffoon.

@@666hobart Have you ever tried to do astrophotography in the places with really bad weather? Also I don't have a chance to buy a really good telescope. I don't have chance and money to go to the southern hemisphere myself. Everybody is in different situation. Keep that in mind.

I’ve been thinking of doing this myself, my main issue is that I just feel it’s not really my image. Does anyone else have this feeling or is it just me?

It is your image, since you will unlikely buy this level of equipment. Some of them is in range of 0.5M. Not only their telescopes are awesome, their cameras are killers as well. Each camera cost >20K.
By the way, there are top (seeing wise) places in US, in which you can set your own equipment. It costs at least 1200/month.

Thank you for putting this information out there. Until I can afford the nessisary equipment this may be a wat to get my feet wet, learn to process the data, and produce a finished product. My better half likes the Marvel characters so maybe I will start with the real thing Thors Helmet. Thats not a bad idea now that I think it over. Thank you!

Thank you for sharing. I had the chance to witness a rocket launch in 2018. Unbelievable experience. I shared a pretty fun montage of the trip to my page.
