A very difficult exercise / technique to attempt however lady karate black belt was willing to practice and did really well, I had a go and also got cramp, but in the true spirit of karate I will persevere, also great to see lady karate black belt smiling, laughing through her pain, just goes to show how far us female karateka have come in what was considered a male dominated sport, excelling at every level of karate, more videos please Sensei, us female karateka would really appreciate thank you oss.

It's easier for females to kick due to different centers of gravity.

En el karate es par todo el mundo. Mujeres y hombres siempre entrenamos juntos y ya te digo que las mujeres son capas de hacerlo muy bien . Oss

I always assumed this young lady was a relative of Yaguchi Sensei. There was someone like her in Spain when Yaguchi Sensei taught for ISKF several years ago. Perhaps not that same young lady and probably someone who could translate into Spanish.
Firstly I have to comment on that absolutely lovely home dojo. It really is superb. I find Yaguchi Sensei's instruction highly interesting and he appears to have the knack of tuning into the karate-ka that he is 'coaching'. So far both karate-ka that he has coached, have been rather talented, plus understand the nuances of Japanese (Nihon Go), which I'm guessing helps a great deal.

I do not see the point, these are just syllabus fillers. Study something that may save your life. This wont.

Your lack of understanding doesn't mean it's not valuable. There are lots of things in Shotokan that don't make sense to the casual observer but are meant to train the mind and body in a certain way. Just like kata - no one is using them for self defense but if you can execute them at a high level, you'll be a competent scrapper.
