Esdeath and Tatsumi could've been a gorgeously charming couple if she genuinely repented from her sadism. Not that I'm implying she didn't love him the best she knew how, but she decided to hold onto her warmongering sociopathy and wouldn't have it any other way. Although she chose to die alongside him in the anime, she also said: "Tatsumi died because he was weak." If you're interested: I've heard there's some well-written fanfiction where Tatsumi ends up with a repentant Esdeath (and some cases, other female characters as well). And by the way, you made a good choice for a song to match Esdeath's emotions. Well done!
The only problem is that Esdeath herself will not understand why her point of view is not correct because 1) this ideology has been hammered into her head since childhood, although more likely since infancy; 2) this point of view was constantly confirmed by the surrounding world. And Tatsumi himself didn’t lift a finger to change her views on the world, and as you know, words not backed up by action don’t mean anything and won’t solve any problem, although he could try (there’s no 100% guarantee that it will work, but it was worth a try) in two ways, 1) use her love for him and show that to be strong you don’t have to be cruel to your enemies, this is a rather simple way, but with the right approach it can at least shake her opinion regarding her views on life; 2) become stronger and defeat Esdeath in battle but not kill her. This method will essentially destroy her philosophy, yes it is faster than the first, but there is a very high probability that after her loss the blue-haired girl will want to commit suicide. But in the canon, because of his dementia (yes, the MC has dementia since he, instead of logical and elementary conclusions: that Esdeath was taught cruelty from childhood, she became like this, and since she became so, you can correct her if you try hard. I made conclusions that only he could draw who has the intelligence of a 5 year old child, like she’s like that by nature) Tatsumi couldn’t even think of the second method, which was easier to come up with than the first.
If she was with night raid from the start to the end she’d be waifu to many more people than there currently is Edit: instead of being with the empire lmfao
Nah if she was with night raid she would be the only girl people would simp for and the show would probably be more popular. I wish girls in real life would look like her
@@albanian5525 I thought that at the end there would be a new evil character who would even be stronger than esdeath and akame. Then night raid and the jeagers would become friends and fight against the new evil character. Let's say 40% of their crew die but atleast they would have beaten the new character. After Najenda's death Esdeath becomes the new captian of night raid and the jeagers and they fight against other villians in season 2/3. Then at the end all of them die with a smile on their faces but atleast there has been 2 or 3 seasons instead of only 1 season.

Since during the time there was 1 season (still is) when I was watching it I thought they were going to band together to defeat the empire, sadly not though.
