Joseph Donnelly I know Disney is on a kick with these live action remakes of the classics lately. I’m not fond of them, but Lion King was next in line to be made. I want to still watch the movie and form my own opinion. There’s mixed reviews about it already.

Joseph Donnelly I don’t mind the facial expressions. That’s how they designed to make it look much more realistic. It’s not exaggerated like the cartoon. I don’t expect the animals to look like the Madagascar movie.

Gareth Edwards is a massive Star Wars fan, too. Rogue One was pretty solid, especially the 3rd act.
I knew Dave Filoni growing up. I've followed his career since and can't wait to see what Jon and Dave do on The Mandalorian. They are a couple of talented, hard-working guys who have earned their success.
Jan St. As much as I love Edwards’ work, the 3rd act of Rogue One wasn’t him. Disney mostly reshot the entire climax without him.
@@icecreamisnice117 Thats also not entirely true. While Tony Gilroy directed the reshoots, it was still Gareth Edwards who directed most of the movie. The only things Tony reshot in the 3rd act were different death scenes for some characters, swapping the physical Death Star plans for a transmission and making everything more compact, like some of the dialogue. Everything else was Edwards, including the Spacefight and the Vader-Scene.

The whole thing felt so rushed. Favreau had pretty interesting stories and Jimmy kept interrupting trying too hard to be funny.

I was getting so annoyed about that!
I saw Jimmy Kimmel Live once and I noticed the same thing in person, but it felt heightened. I think it’s honestly because the show is Live. They have a set amount of time to squeeze in an interview and hit a certain number of bullet points. So Jimmy keeps the conversation rolling. Unfortunately, that means the conversation can’t go somewhere on it’s own.

You can tell he enjoys talking about everything that he has done, he’s truly great full for everything. But man once he started talking about Star Wars his eyes just lit up and he started nerding out on everyone.
I honestly don’t understand why the new lion king did poor! The animation is photo realistic and it’s the same as the original. Sure, I’ll take the fact that they don’t have as much emotion but it deserves more. When I saw the reviews it said that they thought that it was too much like the original but I garrentee if they made it different they would have wanted it the more similar

How the colors change when Mufasa dies. Very well made.

The first time I've ever seen Jon Favreau in a movie was in the 1996 film "swingers" both he and Vince Vaughn made a huge impact on me, simply because I believe in their characters and what they had sot out to accomplish. As a young kid seeing that movie and admiring their talent, really speaks volumes, and from that day on, I would jump at the chance to see any work they had their hands in. I'm actually proud to be a fan of Mr. Jon Favreau. Congratulations on your accomplishments, looking forward to enjoying more of your work, in the near and distant future.
