The whole "bay" area of Margaret River is fascinating....you get everything from slab waves and point breaks to deep water outside breaks and closeouts all within a fairly easy paddle between the bowls
Say what you want about being a tough guy or brave but sitting out in the lineup at Margaret River must be pretty terrifying. Especially considering how there were two shark attacks there within one day during the timeframe of the comp
yeah after seeing this again, thats a shark, dolphins usually come in packs when thy surf a wave.
that thing was thick, dolphins dont get that thick, and its fin was as tall as its body.

The tail is moving side to side not up and down! It was a shark. I surf with juvenille great whites almost every session where I live! I have become an expert on what they look like under water.

Good to see JJ back in some form, that will reset his confidence. Looked like a dolphin to me, they always ride waves like that, never seen a shark ride a wave like dolphins do., They had seen dolphins all morning and made comments about them earlier in the day.
