Today I am making the same modifications to my trailer. Thanks for posting your experience - I'm excited to make launching and leaving the water easier! Your video was very helpful and enjoyable.
I'm so glad I stumbled upon your video. I have an old boat and old trailer that needs new rollers this spring. These should reduce the time at the ramp, which is good on the busy days.
Thanks for sharing. I had a question I’m going through my rollers and my stern keel roll metal bar is bent and I notice it’s bit higher then my boat is that normal? Or should the roller be below the keel of the boat?
You need to get rid of those crimp on roller shaft caps, they pop off and you can lose your roller, it happened to me this summer. Drill the ends and use cotter pins.
Great idea. On my ally boat the keel is wide, almost like a mini i beam. The boat got wedged in the centre of one of these rollers when launching, so didn’t work for me. So, check your keel is a more pointed one like in this video. Best of luck?
Going to update mine. I dread loading my boat at the launch, because it's always hit or miss if I can get it on the trailer straight. Hated being that guy holding up the line at the launch.
I have a v bottom Lund. My problem is the roller on the trailer has a notch in the middle and it’s pretty hard to get it lined up perfectly to where the v bottom fits into that notch. Wonder if this self centering roller would fix my problem?
nice weld work! thanks for the tip on the self centering rollers.

It is a blessing, I love how it centers when I load the boat.
I was going to do the same thing cause my rollers is only 4 and a half inch or mm. But doesn’t fit I had to buy all new brackets.
Thank You!
Captain Carpman

Try boattrailerparts.com
My trailer has 5 rollers can I replace them all with self centering rollers?
You could but the front two are the only ones your boat would normally contact when loading.

Your bow eye should be below the bow roller. FYI
Yep I know, it was this way from the factory.
