I get travel for work and sometimes they also buy a ticket for my girlfriend but they do not always buy the upgrade. So most of the time I try to get her an upgrade with my miles that I accumulated throughout the years. If not I fly eco and she goes business class its not a big deal lol

Bro, my wife would absolutely KILL me if I were to spend $10,000 on a first class plane ticket regardless of how much money we make. Grant it, my wife is pretty easy to please when it comes to spending money on her. For her, a date night is coffee at the local coffee shop and a walk together lol. Now, I do tend to do more than that for a date night but, my point is that she's pretty easy to please.

Unfortunately, what SA is displaying, and I don't mean this despairingly, is the effects of oppression. Putting so much weight into what one looks like, where you sit on a plane, is simply classism. Which ironically Dan just so happens not to be affected by, simply because his culture lives by a different cree. not better, but different. There's nothing wrong with being confident in one's self and having agency. I've been married for over 20 years, if you believe that it's all about money, then you would be wrong. Somethings aren't as important to my wife. She's petrified of snakes...I'm not. I will vomit when cleaning up vomit, it doesn't bother her, ect.
