- Hello IT Pros, this is Alvendril! in this Video, "How to Replace a Chromebook battery", I first try to Troubleshoot a non-working Battery on a Dell Chromebook 3180. After diagnosing it, I proceed to replace it. Besides, this Method is Similar to other Dell models or Manufacturers.

I have a 2 years old Chromebook and this happens once in the 2 months with me.I have a tip for everyone that also has this issue: before you close the chromebook turn the chromebook off.since I do that it never happens.

Can you tell us what type, size, configuration of the screwdriver you are using to remove the battery, and can I find it on Google? I can't get the two little battery screws on the right side of the battery out,, they turn and turn and don't come out and the battery remains locked in place. Also, at 3:44 why do you press the power button for 10 seconds, you didn't give a reason. Here's a question, too. If your battery is dead and you are pretty sure you need another battery, if the unit is PLUGGED INTO THE BATTERY CHARGER, will the chromebook monitor light up or remain non-lighted?

I fixed the no battery by just signing in, then I saw the icon. I don't know if you already tried that tho
I am unable to use tge Chromebook without charger when i am connecting the charger then only it is getting on else not ant the changing is also not increasing from 1% my battery is just one month old
Hello,
I’d say the issue is the battery. A reason could be it was an already defective one or there is cabling issue on the motherboard. Since your CB is new (1 month old) I’d reach out to the manufacturer as most of them offer a 1 year warranty. If it belongs to a school/university, let the IT department know about it, they will tale care of it.
