One thing to shout out as a "Best" for 2024 should be the official WWE Vault RUclips channel, which has just been killing it with all manner of obscure, forgotten, & previously never shown to the public footage & matches. Kanyon portraying Mortis in 2003, Amazing Red's only (dark) match in WWE, Nunzio winning the Cruiserweight Title in Italy, Dusty Rhodes' actual final match in FCW, and both Minoru Tanaka & Dump Matsumoto competing in a WWF/E ring are just a handful of the kinds of things you'll find on the channel, and the fact that it's an official WWE thing is astounding. Hell, just this week they put up a 1998 Funkin' Dojo match between Kurt Angle & Christian Cage (w/ Jim Cornette)! Just an absolute treasure trove of content from this year alone... and they even recently uploaded the AWA WrestleRock Rumble (plus a behind the scene video about that & the event itself)!

Private Party win the AEW Tag Team Championship for the first time since signing with AEW in 2019. 4. R-Truth wins his first Wrestlemania match. 5. The introduction of WWE mid-card titles for women.
Brian when I went to Wrestlecon back in 2023, I had 3 people that I had to meet, Mickie James, Gangrel and you. I remember we spoke briefly about how we both became fans around the same time so watching your channel for the past 11 years feels very personal to me cause I related to a lot of what you said and memories you shared. I wish you nothing but continued success.
I'm really happy that Chelsea Green got a shout-out, she and Piper have been one of the most entertaining acts in the company but Chelsea is so good because she's elevated Piper and made her more than just her muscle. Chelsea and Piper are one of those acts that I don't want to see break up for a while because they're constantly entertaining either in the ring or in promos.
@@khesipresents1885 I mean, she's not getting the push she should, but that doesn't make her any less entertaining. Even if she's not winning, she'll often have a great match and Chelsea has really helped her get more of a personality.
Brian talking about this channel and how grateful he is got me a bit teary eyed. I've been a watcher and enjoyer since his Wrestling Society X video all the way back in March 2014, where I really started to explore wrestling outside of WWE. I thank you so much Mr. Wregret for helping my wrestling passion continue and grow. Much love and appreciation to you

I started watching your channel this year and I feel so stupid not watching you sooner. But at the same time I've watched a ton of your content from over the years. My RUclips channel of the year for real. As for something great this year, Fraxiom on NXT. Tag team of the year honestly. Their matches this year for the tag team division on NXT has just been insane.
I’m glad the AEW women got a shoutout, but I think the NXT women deserve one too. Even before the addition of Giulia and Stephanie Vaquer, they were killing it. Roxanne has been an amazing champ, and you have women like Kelani, Sol, Thea, Cora, Lash & Jakara, Fatal Influence all being exciting parts of the show. When I tune into NXT, it’s to see what the women are doing, and considering most of them all started wrestling only within the last few years, they deserve massive props.
Honorable mentions: - Nic Nemeth as TNA World Champion - Mustafa Ali as X-Divison Champion - WWE Vault - Maven, Undertaker, and Stevie Richards' YT channels - Guilia and Stephanie Vaquer in NXT - Konosuke Takeshita - New Bloodline
NXT womens division definitely deserves a spot, HBK is showing that you can have womens division outshine mens one, have them consistently main event and still put a great numbers.
Watched your vids many years ago, 2016-17 ish. Stopped when I fell away from wrestling. Got back into the product this year, and was so happy to find your vids again. Keep it up in 25
Wrestling in 2024 gave me some of the best days ive had which has helped me a lot with my personal life being the hardest it's been the past 3 years. Was in tears with how happy wrestlemania 40 made me, then I got to go to clash in the castle and see Cody defend his title against AJ styles, and drew McIntyre having a fascinating weekend continuing one of the best rivalry I've seen. Then I got to go to all in, see the conclusion to my favourite story In AEW history with storm Vs may and cheer my heart out for Toni, and a main event were Swerve felt like an absolute megastar and my favourite of all time got one last massive title win and moment with his family. A lot ill never forget this year!
I'm biased as I was there, but my favorite moment of the year is AEW All In. It was amazing, Nigel McGuinness making his wrestling return, Ricochet making his debut, Will Ospreay vs MJF and Bryan Danielson winning the AEW World Title. One of the best nights of my life.
The best thing about The New Day segment and partial implosion Is that I understand both Kofi and Woods’ and Big E’s perspective Realistically, Big E could’ve come back to be there for support at any time, since Iike Kofi said, many others have had devastating neck injuries and came back in some way shape or form When Austin had to retire, he came back as Raw GM and even took some spots like getting choke slammed from Kane Kurt Angle had THREE neck surgeries during the prime of his career And even Edge put himself at risk in certain segments during his retirement years But of course, Big E’s injury in particular was unique in that it was stated how E could’ve potentially lost his life
Yeah both are consumed by grief for Big E, and also both men haven’t reached the tag titles in quite a while, so Big E was the scapegoat of their grief and frustration
Agreed. As a fan of NJPW I felt that 2024 was a bit lackluster overall imho but Zack Zabre Jr winning finally winning the heavyweight title and Wrestle Kingdom 18 were highlights for me.
@@joshuacoleman8000 NJPW uses defenses as champion as the indicator of a good run as champion as opposed to days of the reign. If Naito had 5+ defenses, that probably would have been good. Naito had 5 reigns but only got above 1 defense 1 time and that was only 2.
Some of my favourites that you didn't mention were the WWE Vault, which is a fantastic treat for wrestling nerds. Consistent time seeing Mark Briscoe on my TV which is always a delight and the creation of the Casino Gauntlet match.
NXTNA is by FAR my pick for the #1 best thing of 2024. Just like you I have the sinking feeling WWE is going to buy them, but this ride has been the most exhilarating and freshest thing I've seen in wrestling in years.
Maybe it's possible that it's TKO's parent company, Endeavor, that might purchase the promotion. After all, TNA did partner with them just so TNA+, their streaming service, could come to be.
Definitely because I never would’ve thought both of those things would’ve happened. Especially the WWE working with them or any company for that matter. Like seeing Shayna at Bloodsport, Shinsuke at i believe “The Great Muta final match” in NOAH. I think even AJ Styles made an indies appearance of some sort this year too? Is wild

With you venturing to the east coast and my reach expanding our circles are so close to overlapping lol. Working with you is definitely a goal for me in 2025.
Day 1 Wregretter here, and I don't wregret a second of it. You've become my standard Wednesday lunch hour watch (hooray 12 noon uploads on the East Coast), and every video is funny, insightful, and right up my alley. Thanks for everything you do pal. As for "best of wrestling you missed," I'd like to add "Long-term storytelling, as a concept." You mentioned things like New Day, Swerve/Hangman, and Cody/Roman, but also Kevin Owens' slow burn heel turn has been terrific, and need I say more about Karrion Kross? Wild how stories are allowed to breathe now, it's so refreshing.
Honestly the best thing in wrestling in 2024 for me is seeing WWE being open for business. This year alone they've worked with several other promotions from All Japan to TNA to NOAH to Marigold to GCW hell even allowing talents for return to their old stomping ground with guys like Johnny Gargano, Ludwig Kaiser, Grayson Waller, Drew McIntyre, Finn Balor and JD McDonagh popping up in AIW, WXW, PWA, ICW and OTT respectively just all around cool stuff that wouldn't have been possible under Vince. Here's hoping we see more of it in 2025.
My best for 2024 is the debut of the Wyatt Sicks, I will admit that I am biased toward spooky gimmicks but even with that bias the Sicks Massacre was unlike anything I'd ever seen in wrestling the slow meandering pace, the tension of that single note echoing through the arena the absolute shock that everyone was taken out and seemingly dead it was every bit the horror movie they wanted it to be and it worked so well
So I never really followed TNA, but this year after seeing the NXTNA invasion I'm hyped! Joe Hendry is phenomenal, Jordayne Grace is one of the best women wrestling right now. I really hope Joe Hendry is in the Royal Rumble next year because holy hell thats gonna rock the house.
Honorable mention goes to Je'von Evans, fka Jay Malachi. While not a dominant rise up the card in the traditional sense like you'd see with a Lesnar or Sheamus, Je'von made people take notice with his natural talent and energy. His time in DPW and the independents definitely increased his stock coming in and the NXT crowd would have been more in the know about the Young OG's feats, which helps garner bigger reactions for him and makes him feel like the big deal that he is. I'm not surprised Je'von quickly rose above NXT Lvl Up and got major TV time in the main event slot. He's simply been one of those young geniuses like Roxanne Perez that has that natural charisma that comes through in the ring rather than in promos. And he's got that presence that can easily flip between face and heel without losing what makes Je'von special. His rise is honestly absolutely crazy in the grand scheme of things though. He's already challenging for the NXT Championship in less than his first full TV year in the company, sharing the ring with Randy Orton in a match that truly felt like a young lion being endorsed by a legend AND THE KID'S ONLY FUCKING 20. If this is what he gets up to at just 20 years old, Je'von could really have an extraordinary wrestling career.
Watching this channel since 2019. Another great countdown and video from you Brian. Keep up the good work and sending you the best of luck and good thoughts from Romania🇷🇴!
Happy 11 years Zane! I’ve been a Wregretter since I think 2016 2017? Been a massive fan of your content and seeing some of your stuff outside of RUclips as well. Keep up the amazing work!
Man that crowd in Lyon was amazing. I hope the WWE comes back here for another televised show, maybe in a bigger arena? We managed to make the world discover a 90s soccer/party chant, and remain on topic with our chants throughout the whole show, adding to the experience
Congrats on 11 years Brian. I’ve been there since the beginning and watch older videos from time to time and remember where I was in life time videos dropped
You all are in your 30s and 40s and you still believe in Joe Hendry? My parents told me Joe Hendry wasn't real when I was like eight! You know whenever he wrestles it is just one of our parents dressed up like him, right?
I've been here since 2015 and I'm thankful you keep me entertained and updated on wrestling. Honestly every Classic PPV you review i watch before and it's always a great day thank you dude for so much amazing content ❤
That one, long, BEAUTIFUL from Jey walking out of the arena to Sami walking through the Bell Center, through a sea of ADORING home province fans HAS to be one of the BEST camera shots in wrestling.
It was truly amazing to see the continuation of the tradition of every 10th Mania crowning a forever midcarder who had become very popular to varying degrees of success… Happened to Bret Hart, to Krispin Wah, to Daniel Bryan and now Cody Rhodes. Side note: I thought he was going to do a “Yo Adrian, I did it” speech to his father and wife. I mean, they were in Philly…
I was at Revolution and as someone who has been a fan since the 80s, being there for Sting's last match was truly magical. The little one also enjoyed the show even though she passed out before Sting (which is a shame because that's what she was excited for). As for things I would add; The WWE Vault has been wonderful, and everything Gunther has been involved in could find a way on here. He truly is special.
One of my top moments of the year has to be Will Ospreay’s “Bruv I am the feeling” promo. As someone who only got exposed to him once he started appearing on AEW that promo was the final push to cement him as my new favorite wrestler of the current era.
I don’t really like wrestling RUclips channels because a lot of people aren’t honest and impartial but you are one of the only ones that I come back to time and time again. You are probably the best ( just beating out markyd123) Joe Hendry has to be my favourite thing. Such energy and fun
One for me is Nigel McGuinness returning at Wembley. The pop, look and overall moment was amazing. Also, to know that he's open to a full time run!!!!!!

@@FaysalIsGoated hopefully in 2025 we see Will Ospreay and Darby Allin win the big ones
@@Asheto320cabsolutely. I’m personally waiting for Darby to get his moment. He DESERVES it for fucks sake.
ive been loving that and the learning tree
@ please don’t start. Less said about Jericho, the better
10) Sting
With you venturing to the east coast and my reach expanding our circles are so close to overlapping lol.
Working with you is definitely a goal for me in 2025.
Honorable mention to Will Ospreay having 5 star classics in every other match he had with AEW.
Will Ospreay being a regular on American tv is in there for me
Seeing the first of your End of Year videos in my notifications made my day!
You're one of the best Wrestling RUclipsrs Brian, so you deserve to keep going. Great Work Man.
Wrestlemania 40 truly will be one of those Manias that's talked about for years to come as one of the greats
6:53 Put a warning on it or something Brian, now I gotta clean my tea-drenched keyboard! :D
He was a local guy here in NC and was a DPW regular, and the dpw guys are good at picking talent
I've been here since you reviewed the WWE album. Glad to have been apart of your journey man, def wanna plan a trip to see you live!
Always love your year end/ yearly wrap up videos. Truly some of my favorite videos of yours 🙏🏻
Congrats Brian! Thank you for all the awesome content. Excited to see what you create in 2025.
Man that crowd in Lyon was amazing. I hope the WWE comes back here for another televised show, maybe in a bigger arena?
We managed to make the world discover a 90s soccer/party chant, and remain on topic with our chants throughout the whole show, adding to the experience
Yes sir! Looking forward to this all year, thanks Brian!
Congrats on 11 years Brian. I’ve been there since the beginning and watch older videos from time to time and remember where I was in life time videos dropped
Been a great year for wrestling.
Here's ti many more for WWE, AEW and everything in between 🙌🎄
I completely forgot Sting retired this year, it felt like it was at least 2 years ago 😅😂
Cheers to another 11 years. Always look forward to your content. Thanks for entertaining us all.
NXT women’s division deserves a spot. They’re carrying that show.
Honorable mention:
STEVEN FLOOOOOW, STEVEN FLOW!!! 🎵🎶
We're thankful for you, my man.
Best in the business.
Love that Joe Hendry is getting the success he deserves, I have watched him since his days in WCPW days and it is about time.
Thank you Brian ive been a fan since 2015 and you re gained my fandom for wrestling you are the best!
You deserve the all the success and support that you’ve received! Congrats!

😂😂😂
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year sir!
Evil Uno needs to book you for a Mystery Wrestling in 2025
So proud and happy for you that you were able to make it doing what you love. It gives me hope I may one day find something I am happy doing.
11 years ago, it was your videos, that helped me get back into wrestling😊
congrats on 11 years!!!
Man...11 years already, I'm getting old!!! Found you around Mania 30, thank you for keeping me company since then!
That one, long, BEAUTIFUL from Jey walking out of the arena to Sami walking through the Bell Center, through a sea of ADORING home province fans HAS to be one of the BEST camera shots in wrestling.
Chelsea Green is without a doubt the woman of the year for 2024. To have the bad luck she had before and to where she is now is inspiring.
It was truly amazing to see the continuation of the tradition of every 10th Mania crowning a forever midcarder who had become very popular to varying degrees of success…
Happened to Bret Hart, to Krispin Wah, to Daniel Bryan and now Cody Rhodes.
Side note: I thought he was going to do a “Yo Adrian, I did it” speech to his father and wife. I mean, they were in Philly…
Loved seeing CM Punk's in ring return and the Wyatt Sicks especially their debut!
My favorite moment(s) of the year is the quality bangers you’ve been releasing 😁
This is the answer
Great video man! 2024 was a great year for wrestling
My personal best moment was actually to sing Maki Ito’s theme with Maki at Seattle last month 😅
My #1 is the debut of Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling. So hyped for their 2025 shows
I don’t really like wrestling RUclips channels because a lot of people aren’t honest and impartial but you are one of the only ones that I come back to time and time again. You are probably the best ( just beating out markyd123)
Joe Hendry has to be my favourite thing. Such energy and fun
Yota Tsuji winning the NJC is a top five moment for me personally
One for me is Nigel McGuinness returning at Wembley. The pop, look and overall moment was amazing. Also, to know that he's open to a full time run!!!!!!
Congrats on 11 years. I haven't watched wrestling in I don't know how long but enjoy what you do here
