+DHN_30D well,you can just put your thumb or cover the camera and add a caption,like if you asked for someones number on Instagram cuz you lost their number you could put your thumb on their camera or whatever you wanted to do and put as the caption "hey its Griffin can i have your number i lost it"

For those of you who have trouble in sending private message (text not picture) on Instagram to certain people, first you go to their feed and beside their username (top right corner), you can see 3 dots, click it and you can find "send message".
