- The UCI World Cup made its penultimate stop for 2017 at the legendary venue of Mont-Sainte-Anne near Quebec in Canada. This was the site of Aaron Gwin’s first ever World Cup race, 10 seasons ago, where he finished an impressive 10th place. This year, like many years at this venue, weather played a huge factor with the rain hitting the mountain with most of the top riders yet to finish. Unlike the opening round in Lourdes however, the rain didn’t cause the riders to lose massive amounts of time and in fact hardly anyone crashed in the super wet conditions. It was more an issue of visibility and dealing with the standing water on the track.
YT and Aaron is a killer combo!
I missed the section where Neko rants on track draining and design. It would have been fitting with the rain. I think there is a whole separate YT series....Neko "rants" on track/trail design.
"I don't usually ride mud, but when I do, I ride my dry tires and take ludicrous inside lines anyway," the most Gwinteresting Man in the World. SO GOOD AARON!
Whoever cranks these edits out so quick deserves a medal
I don't know how much he earns, but the editor of this videos deserves a raise!
Serious props to the editor for making these videos so darn fast!!!

Smooth. Equals. Fast. Always 👍
Suspension setup is a very critical part of riding something that many MTB riders and mechanics apparently do not have a good grasp on despite what others think. Especially Fanboys who think everybody is an 'expert' 🤔😂 it's obvious that Aaron and his mechanic having extremely good understanding of setup.
BRAAP 👊✊✊
Only one more race, then World Champs. Excited, yet also sad face :(
fucking awesome! what an absolute dude. sick riding aaron.
Congrats to Gwin for the insane winning race run and props to the whole Yt Mob crew...

Rip Neko's trail building lessons
So Stoaked to see Aaron win!!
Hero Gwin! What a great victory!
here they exposed aaron's secret and its taking the straightest line trough corners like f1, apex to apex. we saw that in lourdes the first round they were there jumping trough the banks.
I think thats everybodys dream. There is no magic in it. Everybody who drives a car a little bit faster than usual driver knows how to take the best from the turn. But in DH there are so many variables in the tracks you do not always get the best time from the straightest line. Maybe Aaron has such amazing skill that he can get closest to the ideal line where others are too scared to take it because of the risk of slipping or gettin puncture through harsh part of the track.
Absolutely love my Tues, but maaaaaan, I wish I could ride it like that! for like ONE DAY! Unbelievable, Gwin
Didn't even run mud tyres !?! 12:17
see you in val di sole, grandissimo gwin!
4:09 What's that metal chip attached to the left (his right) side of Aaron's fork chasis?
It's the transponder for timing.
Its his special cheat code that gives him perfect traction
I'm pretty sure timing chips are on the reverse side of race plates, unless they do something different in the UCI DH. Having a timing chip that low on the outside of the bike would be a little precarious I think. Could be wrong though.
are u DiSaBlEd
Bridger Murray - No, they're ziptied to the fork. They're also plastic. I believe the UCI MTB ones are made by MyLaps (formerly AMB). The UCI Track ones are made by Swiss Timing. All the bikes in both DH and XCO have them on the fork. The detection loop is on the ground, and they need to be as low as possible for accuracy. There's nothing on the number plate. If you watch a race in person you'll see UCI officials cutting them off after a race to collect them.
Epic run, a real Gwinner
Nice!!!! #nomoreflats
Gwin eres el mejor!

Jeffsy, this was a Capra. Good to know that even the guys at YT didn't know their bikes :-o
Get a pair of glasses it was Jeffsy 27.5. It is even written on the bike itsself. Or do You think that factory workers also do not know the difference...
