Come with me onboard Virgin Atlantic's new Upper Class onboard their Airbus A350. I'm on one of the very first flights over to the US since the travel restrictions have lifted. I'll take you with me through the private wing at London Heathrow, into the Club House... relax in a cabana and even check out the rooftop garden overlooking the runway. Next we'll head onboard to my private suite, in Upper Class on the way to Atlanta, USA.

I flew coach Virgin many years ago with my parents and it was exceptional for coach. Far superior to the now "flying bus coach class" in the US with every arguing to get overhead space and people unhappy to be crammed in. It seems you had a good flight on Virgin.

Wow 2 videos in 2 days! Wasn't expecting that but I'm not complaining. What a lounge experience too, now that is what I call worth your while. The cabin too, absolutely amazing! Wasn't expecting such great quality to be fair but it has blown me away. Thanks again Will for the experience being shared. Any chance you can try the south east Asian airline and their business products.

I travel domestically in the states for work and have only gotten to fly VA for one UK trip. That being said just based off that one flight I could tell that VA is an amazing airline. Even though I was in coach it was still head and shoulders above our domestic offerings

Loved my flight with Virgin, and I was binging your vids before going! Those exercise bikes however were incredibly annoying because they were right next to the relaxation area, and played loud noises.
Such a gorgeous looking cabin.
😯I need to fly on this plane! I love the vibe at boarding and that they are still doing preflight champagne to make you feel welcome (and maybe also feel like the plane is about to turn into a club 😂) - cheers🥂

Hey, a great review...probably the only time I’ll ever get to see first class. My brother (Simon Pengelly) designed the sleep pods and a lot of the waiting room furniture. It’s awesome to finally see it...you lucky thing.

I absolutely love your videos! It's fabulous watching you in so many places on trains and airplanes. My favorite is the food and how you describe it. Always makes me hungry. I live in Atlanta (actually a suburb) and the airport is always busy. I have been watching all your older videos along with the newer ones. I like the trains because I have never been on a passenger train. Just trains like the one at the famous Stone Mountain carving. The Rock. I actually live very close to it and have been hundreds of times. Take care and as always looking forward to the next one!!

I watched this video on Sunday and then I saw you at the luggage collection at Heathrow this morning. Small world!
A gym or peloton area if you are laying over or have been on a work trip and regularly work out/ excercise is actually genius. Would make for a much more relaxing flight after getting a sweat in (as long as showers are available for after you work out before your board obviously)
Flew Virgin Business on a (basically brand new) A350 in September 2019. Absolutely wonderful experience and the reason why I love the A350
Epic review - what a spectacular flight and Heathrow experience Virgin offers with a true Private Wing (despite the taxi glitch…) love how unique Virgin is! Gutted I had to cancel my trip in 2021, but hopefully will try Virgin in the near future 👍

I love the Club House, my favourite lounge of all. I spent 8hrs there last time and even had a hair cut.
Virgin had a headquarters in Connecticut that I worked for, for a while. I truly enjoyed working there. I helped with the Y2K roll out. The people were amazing!

Yes! this what I was waiting for!
I flew between Los Angeles and London back in the middle of October and it was my first time with the A350. I loved it. I've only ever flown transatlantic in Virgin Upper Class because my company was paying for the seat. Since I retired, I've been using the Bank of America Virgin Atlantic MasterCard for everything I buy, and those miles really add up. So I've been able to stay in those great seats for several more years. The things I really liked in the A350 included the new seating pods with the dining table which pulls out and then flips toward you like a giant hug. I got a tablecloth! I had the same food and it was my first time ever eating duck and hog jowls. I almost always eat something for the first time on every Virgin flight. The giant TV screen was really nice, though I wished it would adjust to be closer to my eyeballs. I loved that my wired ear plugs worked with the plug for the lately awful ear muffs that Virgin uses for sound. Back in the day, their earphones were Bose or some other high-end name brand and they did aggressively collect each and every one before the flight ended. With the Covid mask and my glasses, there's no way I can deal with more stuff impinging on my lobes. I consider the Virgin flight in both directions to be part of my vacation, so I never sleep. I think the video offerings have been trimmed down since I last flew 2 years ago, but there was still enough to keep me entertained on my super long flights. I usually get 3 or 4 feature films, plus TV programs. The great addition was the tail and belly cams. On both of my flights, the cams both got locked out of service when the FA either mistakenly or purposely left the mic on his announcement phone locked. I forgot to ask about it on the way out. I could fly any carrier to and from London, but the sassy Virgin FAs never fail to entertain and impress. Now if they could only get the Virgin Lounge at LAX reopened in time for my next flights in July!

Thank you for the great video (lounge & airplane). I'm a bit surprised that on a 9 hour flight you only got one meal and I gather... no amenity kit? Always appreciate that you take the time to show the menu in detail. (I would have eaten in the lounge... there wasn't one thing on that menu that interested me.)
I watch all of your videos. I particularly liked this review. Coincidentally, my friend is in London Heathrow as I type this and when I called him, he was in the exact same Virgin Lounge! this product looks great.
I upgraded to First Class on Virgin, and, had a Fabulous Experience. I love Richard Branson. He has impeccable taste!!!

We flew Upper to San Francisco in June, were a little disappointed to be on the old product but as you say the service was phenomenal from check-in to landing.
Yeap! Working out before a flight (or even gourmet lounge meals) really makes the food taste better and enjoyable.

As a side note, 20 years working in 4 different aviation occupations with 4 different airlines, ranging from baggage smasher to check in agent, reservations agent and then finally a decade as a flight attendant. Self-employed over the past 10 years ouside of aviation, however I love these planes and the art of traveling well as much now as ever. Very good review of the Virgin upper class business experience. I much prefer the A350-1000/900 config of Virgin upper class to their configs in 787s or A330s, with seats actually facing the windows on the 350s, giving more privacy, less awkwardness.
Seems a very good hard product and most probably soft product too.
Head and shoulders over that other British Airways and definitely the long haul products on USA airlines.
As much as I enjoy the videos, one can only hope you stay safe and healthy, given that the new variants!
VA is the first business I ever flew, quite some time ago, thus I have always been very fond of them, but I have to say that the new seats are fantastic.

Seems similar to club suite just a bit more fancy in looks but that's the VA way, and u get the loft and pj's! The club house has always been one of the best lounges in the business, i used virgin loads bk in the day but switched to ba as virgin routes were cut and their UC price tag went through the roof once they partnered with Delta, i can get rtn club suite to say dubai for 1.5k and that same length journey with virgin to NY etc is like 3-4k, and virgin miles are impossible to spend as u need a flex ticket to use then to upgrade which is often more expensive then a low cost UC ticket so i fell away from them for those reasons, but always loved the hard product and this new suite looks fab! Good video, i enjoyed it

When the video started I was so pissed off that I couldn't view the aeroplane or the clubhouse because of the quick edits but then realised it was just an overview and you go into greater depth in the rest of the video. Overall this vid was fantastic.

Was that the upper class special ( car only) drop off? It’s my second trip they VA upper & I love that clubhouse! Last trip ( 2017 ) I couldn’t find that drop off .
I like the peloton ! It will help prevent the leg issues some older folks (I am 60 ) can get ( DVT) flying .

As of March 2022, nope. 6ft 3", 230lbs and was at the limits of comfortable.
