That's one hell of a score. I have been running the Mitas Dakar e-10 front and e-09 rear on my 1190 advr, for the past couple of years. I love them. The sidewalls are very stiff and the crown of the tire is pretty stiff as well. I air down to around 30psi and it works for me in mud and roots at Wicomico Motorsports Park. The tires on the sandy sections of the trail is awesome (when I get the right) and the amount of traction in the muddy sections is awesome when you roll on the throttle and let the bike eat. I can only imagine what the e-12 and e-13 are like. My tires are the yellow stripe opposed to the green stripe. The e-09 front has been hard to find as of late and I would probably only fun it off road due to the tread pattern and my lack of skill in comparison to high level of ambition in turns on the road. Have you done anything to the suspension on your bike?
Glad you're getting that bike out on the 1190 on some trails. The Mitas tires seem to be hard to find and one of the downsides. I'm still on stock suspension. Its a little soft and be something I'll upgrade down the road. Its works for what I'm doing now though compared to the cost of re-valving. Probably something I'll do when its time to service.
Thanks for a great review- I have an 890R and 1290R- been running the TKC80s on the 890 and due some new rubber and this review has convinced me. Done a couple of training weekends with KTM UK and they run variations of the Mitas tyres and I like them. There have been supply issues in the UK too, so hoping I can get my hands on some. You have a great place to ride by the way- would love to have that.
Loved the review. Just got my 2022 T7 and know I have to get new tires for both on and off road riding as the Pirellis are not capable. This looks like a great combo😎
Like everyone else I'll be interested in how they hold up and what's the price like compared to the TKC 80's. We went from Mario's house to Two Wheeled Rider Headquarters. Must be moving up in the world that Mario.
They are definitely challenging with limited dealers. They are getting more popular so I hope that helps distribution. We are working on trying to get these here to a VA dealer.
Hi mate! I was searching for a review after many kms with this wheels... I would like to mount a Mitas E13 as a front wheel and I'm searching for a tyre that allows to ride 7k miles at least...
You may be able to stretch the front that long depending on the type of riding you're doing. The rear definitely goes quick but its the price you pay for such a great off-road tire.
@@TheBoyers ah cool, I thought they may deflate over time. I've been using Motoz Rallz on the 890 but want to try these to compare. Wasn't sure if I'd get the full benefit on the wider rim though
@@adamhrachowina9119 running these tires majority off-road for what they are intended for id run tubes so I could lower the pressure and not worry as much. I just had them testing for the weekend.
Hi, good review. You say stock rims and no tubes? Mine stock 1290 SAR came with rim with a 150 tire. And the mitas e12 size is only 140. Didn't you experience any problem with this set up 140 TT tyre on 150 rim without tube (on road/off road)?
@@doktor4287 after the reply by @The Boyers I tried the 140 on the tubeless rim but did not like how flat the profile of the tyre was, especially when lowering the pressure. I now run 1.85" front 90/90 or 100/90 with tube and also have a 1.6" front rim with mousse. The rear I use 2.5" with 140/80. The tyre is far more suited to the narrower rim and has a far rounder profile that cuts into the soft terrain better, it also retains a better profile when aired down than the 140 did on the stock tubeless rim. The narrower wheel set makes the bike feel far more agile and flickable on dirt. I reserve the tubeless wheels for road work or gravel now.
I just put these on, after extensive research on the web I desired to try this combo on my KTM1290R 2021. Off-road: 10/10 nothing else needs to be said. On road: At maximum the E-13 is to get you to the off-road location. Even in rain mode in 4th and 5th gear the TC kicks in. After only 15-20km on the street, the edges on the center knobs where completely rounded off and chunks had been ripped off. They are a bit too soft to be OK for commuting on. !!Ofc this is not the intended use, it is a off-road tire!! For my purpose as a pure off-road tire, these are outstanding!!!! Great video!

Could you test them on Rain grooves? So many knobby tires start to wobble and wandering all over the place…
How'd they go for durability and life span, esp with some on road and off road mixed use?
How many milles have the tires lasted?
Well done.
Thank you!!

He’s doing big things. Mario has the tires on his 990 now and putting some miles on them so should have an update in a bit on how they are wearing
where are you finding these in the USA, I cannot seem to find any retailer of the E12

How are thei on wet tarmac and cold weather? I live in North Norway sooo.. warm summer are a rare thing 😄😄😄😂😂
They’re not meant for tarmac cold or hot. They do fine but it’s not why you should get these. They do just fine in cold off the tarmac
That i know, but just wondered how that are on wet tarmac 😀 Transport 2 the fun stuff you is needed..
Mileage from the front?
I was thinking in a e10 rear and e12 front
Would be a good combo for sure!
Is there a tubless option?
Not that I'm aware of but I ran these tubless anyways

yes to the stock rims. I ran them without tubes as I didn't have tubes and they did fine.
