Daisy-chaining, officially known as multi-stream transport, or MST (in the case of DisplayPort technology) involves connecting a monitor to another monitor instead of directly to your system's video out port. It's a great way of minimizing cable clutter and extending the range of your monitors from the source system. You will conect your laptop to the first monitor with USB-c cable and the display port out of the monitor 1 to the display port in of the monitor 2, both monitors powered to eletric source. But to do that your monitor 1 got to have the MST technology.

I'm not 100% sure, but there might have been an option in the monitor menu where you can turn off the charging. May I ask why you would like to turn off it?
@@JosephKim Thanks for your fast response ! It's simply because i want to connect my dell XPS which needs 130W to run at full performance (for some gaming for example) so I'd rather plug in the usb c cable for video and hub and my charger for power delivery instead of having 2 sources of power delivery (because the 90W won't be enough) and confuse the battery. Hi, I am sorry that I can't help as I don't have any MacBook or linux machines. I also have trouble speaking with any people from Dell for more information XD.
Very good video, agreed to most things, with the exception that I would mention, that usb C on the laptop, it needs to support display port out, for example, the cheaper end of Huawei laptops and some Lenovo ones that I've tested, don't have this feature, opting for HDMI plug, which is something....yet limiting. As for conversion, sadly you simply cannot exceed the HDMI output of FHD /60hz on the 1.4 HDMI most laptops have, I think you can do that with a HDMI 2.0 cable + adaptor to display port, but even so, the laptop needs to handle that bus lane. Considering everything, I feel like it makes sense to get one of these + a cheaper one to daisy chain via DP - DP , or if you can spare the extra pesos, might as well have 2 capable monitors, in case you also need to charge a phone etc via quick charge
I am packing to move, so I used this video as a way to know how to pack it back into the box neatly and properly with no box bulge. Thank you.

Any suggestions on how to connect from display out to hdmi?

Can i use this monitor with any type c cable?
hi man.
my computer dosent have a usb C that supports video..
is it posible to connect this screen to my comp using USB A 3.0 ? and then conect it to another screen ?
thanks
No you can't. You will have to connect to other display ports such as HDMI or Displayport.
Can you check your monitor has a sound, I bought this and cannot find sound option
Nope, no speaker.
can you tell us any monitor who has glossy screen not anti glate screen
It wasn't glossy if I remember correctly.

Why is the weight high compared to p2419h
I'm not sure. Does the other weight include the stand weight?
@@JosephKim 2419H is 3.7kg and 2422H is 7kg
@@JosephKim which is better 2419h or 2422h

Can I connect to my Wi-Fi without a Ethernet cable
If your machine has wifi, yes.
@@JosephKim I have the same one you reviewed p2422h
Wanted to know if you can control some of the resolution or display settings from the joy stick
Yes. Display settings.

Nope, I don't think so.
Is it possible to connect my laptop and desktop to this monitor and switch between without unplugging inputs?
Yes
@@JosephKim Thank you sir? Is it auto sense or is there a button to switch between?
hi joseph. thank you for the video. I plan to connect my laptop to two external monitors. I recently purchased P2422H monitor but unable to do the daisy chain because there was no displayport out connection. If i purchase another P2422HE monitor, can i do the daisy chain like in this video? laptop----hdmi connection to----P2422HE----DIsplayPort(Out)----DisplayPort(In)---P2422H? Does the multiple display works like in your video. thank you for your time. looking forward your answer.
The laptop to P2422HE also has to be displayport I think. Because HDMI doesn't support daisy chain.
@@JosephKim i see. thank you for your answer. just one last question if you dont mind. laptop--- usb-type c connection to----P2422HE----DIsplayPort(Out)----DisplayPort(In)---P2422H? Does this connection works for P2422H? can P2422H display as the third monitor? thanks.
@@kerozera in theory, that might work. Not 100% sure. As long as the laptop supports it, you can have it as the third.
@@JosephKim great! thank you so much.
hi there! would a logitech brio webcam run without lag/problems on the monitor’s usb 3.0 ports?
I don't see why it would not work!
thank you for the quick reply! I might give it a try! I’ve tried with usb-c type docking stations (anker, okx, etc) and its too much to handle aparently…it gets laggy
whats the difference between this and the Dell U2422HE?
I think that is higher tier. 'U' usually means Ultrasharp.
Great video! Quick question. I've connected my laptop to the monitor via a 'USB Type C to A Cable'. For some reason, the monitor doesn't seem to acknowledge that. When I try to change the input source on the monitor, there's only options; hdmi cable and db cable. The usb-c option doesn't appear. Do you by chance know what's going on?
So, USB-A will not carry any display signal. Unless you are connecting your laptop's USB-C (that has display out) to the monitor's USB-C, it would not work.
@@JosephKim I see. Did not know that! So I already have a dp cable (which came with the monitor). Can I connect this DP Cable to my laptop using an adapter? (because my laptop doesn't have a dp port)?
@@zaidshaikh2180 make sure the port is compatible. You will have the best luck with HDMI of you don't have DP port.
@@JosephKim So my laptop's hdmi port is already being used for another monitor. When you say port being compatible, do you mean laptop port or monitor port?
@@zaidshaikh2180 the laptop port. If it is already being used, you may have maxed out what's possible.
Hallo Joseph! Is it possible to not been charging all the time by the USB-C cable? Like just for using the monitor and not charging simultaneously… ?
I think that would be in the options of the monitor. I didn't test specific function however.
I think you get the option at the monitor boot up first time.
Is this monitor any better in image quality / colors / sharpness, than P2419H?
P2419H is cheaper in my country so I am not sure which to buy.
I think this has improved color.
Hello there, thanks for the meaningful review!
May I know does it support Android phone to cast through the USB Type-C?
Yes, I tried and it worked!
@@JosephKim Cool, gotta buy this now! Thanks!
Hi does the pc connect with other laptops?
I don't understand. You mean the monitor?
Can you daisy chain with another 27” monitor and show 4K?
I'm not sure. I'd think the bandwidth may be limited.
Do you recommend this monitor for graphic design or video editing?
Yes! But it the price may only make sense if you do utilize the USB-C hub connection.
How do you get out of mirror mode? I have an HP
You control that from Windows, or Mac

Hey Joseph,
How did you get past the issue "No USB C signal from your device". I saw that for a split second and apparantly can't get past it. I recently bought this very same monitor after watching this review.
Does your laptop support display over USB-C or Thunderbolt?
@@JosephKim yes, I have HP-14 dv0054TU, it has

Can you please do review on P2422H? P2422H stand can move left and right like P2419h? Or it is fixed?
It should be able to. P2422H has the same stand as P2422HE

Have you notice any coil whine noise?
Interesting. I normally hear coil whine from PCs and laptops. Not monitors?
how do i get the computer to display on the monitor thanks
Connect the cables?
Hi!! What mount do you recommend for two of these?! 😄
I've been using cheap monitor arms from Amazon :)
This monitor has 6bit + frc , does it have colour banding
I'm sorry, I wasn't able to spot color banding. I am not sure what FRC is.
When I connect monitors in series, do I need to use USB-C? or can I use DP to connect my PC?
USB-C. But DP may work. I'm not 100% sure on that.
Hi ! I am interested in this monitor but I have a question. I want to use it as a hub as well and plug it in with only one usb c cable (video and usb hub) BUT I don’t want this usb c cable to charge my laptop. Is there another usb c port that can support video and hub but doesn’t charge the laptop ?
Thanks for your video
I'm not 100% sure, but there might have been an option in the monitor menu where you can turn off the charging. May I ask why you would like to turn off it?
@@JosephKim Thanks for your fast response ! It's simply because i want to connect my dell XPS which needs 130W to run at full performance (for some gaming for example) so I'd rather plug in the usb c cable for video and hub and my charger for power delivery instead of having 2 sources of power delivery (because the 90W won't be enough) and confuse the battery. Adding to that I would also want my laptop to not being always on charge, as it use the battery more quickly.

You are absolutely right. It can't be all USB-C ports. Another standard to look about for, is Thunderbolt.
