Little misconception, but even if it is single phase, if it's FS&S it would always be "Type 5", but not Type or Model 5B. Nice video though! I love these flyarounds!
That Siren Is Actually In Whittaker, MI., Unless If You Meant The Township It Is In… By The Way, The Siren Runs On A FS FC Controller. I’ve Been In The Fire Department Before. There Is Not Very Much To See In There, Though. I Also Got To Keep The Lock From The Controller When I Was There!
Very nice! I did indeed see an FC next to an original motor starter they use for it. Very basic indeed! Did you happen to notice if it’s 1 or 3 phase by chance? I think it’s 1 but not 100% sure on that.
It May've Been 3-Phase, But I Do Not Remember. Next Time I Am There, I Can Try To Find Out For You. BTW, The Siren Is Probably Going To Be Taken Out Of Service, Because The Motor Is Starting To Burn Out (You Can Hear It Wavering A Bit In Some Of My Videos Of It.), & It Is The Only Civil Defense Siren In Active Service In Washtenaw County.
@@TheSirenCollector That isn’t the motor starter, I’m 99% sure it’s single phase. The siren is in need of new brushes, I would offer to replace them honestly. Don’t really want to see this one go
Me Too. It Is One Of My Favorite Sirens To Visit When I Have The Time! BTW, I Own A Company Called Volunteer Siren Company, & I Do Work On Sirens For Free. The Problem About It Though, Is That I Am Not Offering My Services Anytime Soon Because I Do Not Have The Right Tools To Do So Now.
