Lots of tricks I have not seen before - very smart. I'll need a few goes to learn them !

Thanks Ian Watson, there are lots of different tools you can use but this is my favourite for this type of background. As with all the tools, short cuts etc. the more you use them the easier they become. David

Thanks Tom Patton, so pleased to hear the you enjoyed the video and the addition of the reflection. I nearly left that off but felt the image needed something to finish it. Cheers David

Hi David. I love doing this, thanks to you showing me how. One problem I am having is the area I am doing as a new layer always comes darker than the rest of my picture. Do you know why or how I can remedy this? thanks so much!

Pleased that you love doing this @rosebeane708, but at what stage does it come out darker? David

from the very onset! The preview is translucent and then when I click off it to finalize it it looks like the preview, not like the area I selected. In most cases I have tried it's been very dark in the background. I wish there was a way to send you screenshots. Thanks

Like your video, but hard to follow the cursor / mouse.

Sorry to hear that you find the mouse/cursor hard to follow. Do you mean the size of it or the speed? Cheers David
