advice #8, PLEASE FOLLOW. im nice to teachers and i get called a teachers pet even though thats not what they are but its fine. teachers work so hard to create lesson plans and come up with activities and more. as students, we control how hard we make their job. in 6th grade at 7:15 am in the morning kids would scream and talk during tests and my teacher would have to take an advil every 1st period. its hard! please make it easier on them by not trying to be cool and funny by disrespecting them.
yea but not all teachers deserve respect, like i'm not talking about your avarage teacher that is just strict, i'm talking about teachers that call you retarded for not knowing what she has to teach and the teachers that don't teach you anything, and in test at the end there are things she had to teach you but she didn't and that wasn't even in the books
as in respect, i mean to not bash a teacher or use cruel jokes and interrupt the classes. no one needs their class to be interrupted. its just mutual to respect someone. in general, is what im saying. everyone deserves respect and you should still speak to a mean teacher respectfully and to not scream or call them names, then you will stoop to there level. stand up for yourself and reporting them to the principal or vice principal would be better.
I agree, but respect goes both ways. If a teacher won’t respect me, I won’t respect them. (I mean, not to their face at least I am WAY to scared to disrespect a teacher to their face)

For Advice#12, please be cautious. Some people are very sensitive to scents and perfumes. Some school boards don't allow scents. The best way to smell good without disturbing others is to keep good hygiene.

I remember my mom said i was allergic to perfume. It also smells really bad to me, and i feel sick when someone wears it and goes to me. So this tip frim you i think is very good advice.
for advice #12 check your schools rules and make sure that its allowed since many people dont do well with scents, also do not spray it in class!! spray it in the hallway, outside of the school, or in the bathrooms even
that's so true, my history teacher last year would get so mad when people sprayed perfume in the classroom
The one where it was “don’t be shy to raise your hand if you know the answer” that’s literally me, I know the answer but just too shy to put my hand, then I hesitate and when I decided to put my hand up someone already said the answer and then I regret it. Ty very very much for all these tips ❤❤

Focus on yourself
Don't worry about being confident and stuff it does really matter. Focus on getting through the day and getting into a good college. At the end if the day no one will remember if you were awkward when you did a presentation
Don't talk to school counselors. If the counselor feels like it they can tell cps, the principal, your parents etc everything you said

Here is some more advice!!
You dont have to spend so much time making flashcards, (you can use quizlet) and if you are the type who doesnt learn with fladh cards (like me) then trust me, just fond another method instead of putting all the trouble into making flash cards when they dont even help. I also EXTREMELY recommend cleaning your bag at the end of every week and minimmizing the stuff you bring to class and only bring what is necessary. This way your bag will be koghtwr, you will feel more organized, and you wont have to bring much to class. If you are going to your first hear of school, you dknt have to get a supet nice backpack or school supplies because no one will ever care about it in middle school (unless you are doing it for yourself) I also recommend getting a divider/binder so you have everything for class so you wont have to constantly go back to your locker.

Yeah and no! Remind yourself that it impossible to get everyone to like you and you don’t have to try to achieve that. But also remember that that’s not a reason not to be kind! ❤

Do stuff that YOU wanna do you’ll always sometimes feel left out, but remember you’ll meet new people in dif classes, and you may not always be friends with some one through out the year. This year I joined band and I was nervous I wasn’t gonna have anyone but it was one of my best choices, I got so many opportunities and had lots of fun!

ngl i don't get that one, is it like an american thing? because i just have a class, 4 classes per grade, but only differende is the people that go there and one is non-music class since i go to music school. like you can't choose or change anything, just don't get what you mean by choosing classes
For Advice #18, if your notes are going to be on a test or going to be important make sure to write it down!! But make sure it’s in words that you will remember unless it isn’t possible!

I'm an 11 yr old ! And yes despite the fact I'm young and many might think that I'm immature but no. I'm mature enough and I need to take my studies seriously as I've been undergoing depression for the past few months because I was beated by my asain mom for getting 25/30 on maths 😢. Yeah , it hurts but I try not to show it. I'm really trying to improve my marks even more tho I'm already in top 10 good students of my class ( 3rd rank of last year ) but I need to keep up with it. I'm in 6th and I hate the amount of things we've gotta study but yeah I'm trying my best❤

im not trying to gloat, i’ve always been known as the nice person. maybe cuz im shy, i hate to cause drama, i dont want people to hate me. but being nice is just my nature. and guess what, i never got into drama. im definitely not the “popular girl,” and i keep my close friends. in middle school, no one was always mean to me (maybe a few bad comments but not extreme), they were nice to me.

Some advice I have is to just pay attention, it’s obvious and simple but it makes a BIG difference. Stopping to doodle or talk to your friend causes you to miss out on the important little pieces of information that your teacher is telling you. Listen to what your teacher is saying because then during exams at least you know that all the information is in your head you just have to bring it forward

I’ve learned that stayed focused in class, helps you more than studying a lot at home.
You can literally study for 3hours straight, but if you haven’t listen in class, it wouldn’t help.
In fact I barely study at home.
Some ppl in my class work really hard at home,but don’t get the results they want because they don’t pay attention
Your so right I just take notes during the teaching g and study for 30 minutes only a day. Helped me so much more
Just focus on studies, be good student and have good company, maintain hygiene and stay organised. Be amicable with teachers.
In my school we aren't allowed to use the lockers there. They say there just "Aren't enough", BUT THERE'S OVER LIKE 500+ LOCKERS 😭

As a random kid out there, thank you!! Also, if you are in that age range, I suggest doing after school activities! It literally turned my life around. NOT A JOKE. I was pretty young and I was addicted to being at my computer all day but I saw one of my classmates wearing a cadet uniform, so I joined. Best decision i’ve made. Not only Cadets, you can do anything! Like, Clubs - as the video mentioned. Or, maybe you want to join a sports team that plays games every Wednesday or just any extracurricular! It’s optional but it might be fun and educational for you. (Btw, if you join a club or let’s say Cadets, you might learn stuff and apply it to regular life! Organization of stuff and countless of other things. Anyway, have a g’day!)

I feel like a lot of these can vary from person to person. For me notes and flash cards don't help that much bc even if I try to actually use them I'll end up getting distracted. And the one about breakfast making you feel better, if I eat breakfast I feel sick all morning so not all of these work for everyone just use the ones that work best for you :D

I don’t know much about adhd, but if you’re comfortable with your teacher knowing, maybe let your teacher know about your adhd so you won’t get in trouble if you aren’t too focused on the subject.

how i was on my previous school year wasn’t really how i’d recommend anyone to be. i rarely studied for quizzes and focused less on academics! i took notes but never read them. in result, i did get passing grades BUT i was disappointed and literally felt horrible about myself for weeks 🙉
I was in the same position last year! I was a major procrastinator and l wouldn't do well under deadlines,. I would not study and do things last minute. Even though my grades were passing, l felt like a terrible student. This summer l am looking for tips to be a better student, and this video sorta helps! How to convince parents to let you do stuff pls
(Like wearing makeup, buying new backpacks, etc when your parents don’t give you allowance and do t let you have a part time job)
For makeup i recommend just using mascara, lip gloss and like not a full face, ur parents will probably let you do that. Also for a new backpack say that you dont have enough space in ur current one or its not practical and you would like a fresh new one
Some tips would be easy for some people, but for example raising hands and focusing in class would be hard for people with adhd and social anxiety, im not saying anything about the actual video, its just that if you find that you cant focus in class, or cants bring yourself to raise your hand, its not because your worse, its probably because of personality and mental illnesses
use caution with advice #7 because some schools dont allow heavy makeup or any, and some makeeup can clog your pores
It's fun to be a nerd because I am on but it will fun to learn sometimes it's boring but u might get so many doors opened for u.

This is one big mistake I made through middle school (prob 6th grade only)
I badly, and I mean BADLY wanted friends (online school btw) so I try to talk a lot but honestly that just made me get bad influences like this person wanted me to block my mum's contact and say she was f***ing weird as a prank and I refused. I got really mad and complained this to the teacher, and now till this date I don't talk to anybody unless its a project or they start talking. I deeply regret this mistake.
So, never EVER make friends badly unless THEY want to be your friend. I never made friends until this guy approached me, Remember to stay quiet and focus on urself. You matter.
It also kinda makes u look hot and mysterious which is a good impression and being quiet can help u get good applications for college :]
If u rly want a friend, I suggest u getting a stuffed toy and make it ur bsf. It sounds childish, but it will help u a lot through your year, especially during your tests, bullying, harrasment, that toy will just always be in ur heart, no matter who it talks to

It is for 10-15 yr olds so it also includes 11,12,13 and 14 yr olds
if your trying to follow all of these tips and realizing you can’t, don’t be discouraged. if your struggling in school and using this video as help and you still feel helpless, it’s okay. we all grow and improve at our own pace so don’t beat yourself up about it. it’s impossible to do all of these on a daily basis no matter what so just try your best ! these tips were meant to be guidelines not rules!

For the scent, you don’t have to have the same scent perfume and lotions and scrubs. I use a desser haze scrub, a jasmine lotion, and coconut spray and it smells AMAZING
I like most of the advice in this video but for taking notes, just write down the really important stuff or stuff you can study, or if a teacher repeats something multiple times, write it down. Don’t stress about the tiny details 😊
