Effectively, how could you possibly make the argument that he loves her when he doesn't even KNOW her? She should have been publicly torn to pieces in the end. The fact that she wasn't is simply a miscarriage of any real justice. The things she did were not simply bad choices of Joan's; how much she did and how long she did it tells us who she IS. She is a bona fide MONSTER. Crap! I DETEST these stories because of this kind of silliness.
