Not bad....was a better version than I thought it was going to be. The studio version on Sweet Freedom is my all time fave Uriah Heep song....and probably one of the greatest songs of the 70's.
A shockwave of happiness came over me now that I saw this. 2 of my most respected artists collaborate. I´ve listened to this countless times and it´s only getting better :D
Great song from my fav Uriah Heep album..Played very well indeed with excellent vocals, but a tear still falls for David byron, and such a shame that Hensley left the band...Simple, but true. RIP Trevor Bolder.
What..a..FINE..jam! For all you Indie hotshots out there, all inspiration and no discipline, I'd bet all these guys had college or academy-level training and instruction. Get some lessons, but of course hang on to your inspirations. Like Frank Zappa pointed out, rock musicians and artists in general only reflect and dramatically document their times--they don't create the social conditions which they condense and capture.
I still prefer the original version any day. Bernie is a good try of UH to emulate David. For me he is just a high pitched Ronnie Dio (RIP). I would rather Bernie just keep to his own era of UH honestly. Why oh why David!!!! Sorry folks the guy just irks me the wrong way...apologies fellow UH fans...Just my opinion...
Granted, Bernie is no David Byron. But he is quite good, and he keeps Uriah Heep relevant today 30 + years since Byron's death. Nobody is ever going to replace David Byron, but Bernie keeps the music alive for a new generation.
The excellent sounds of underrated guitarist Mick Box and the master of the flute Ian Anderson , awesome !
Brilliant version of this song! Ian Anderson's flute adds a whole new dimension to it!
Fantastica questa canzone. Il gruppo degli Uriah Heep è nel mio cuore 💓❤️. Bravissimi

This is giant! Ian Anderson is in Uriah Heep. At first I am hearing so this song!
Thank you very much!
Wow.
I've loved this song ever since the album was released.
This was a wonderful experience.
Thanks for posting.
Bernie Shaw absolutely kills this, and with Ian Anderson... Tears of joy. "Gary's song"
Close your eyes and it's the 70's again. Great music never gets old.

Circus в этом исполнении звучит как реквием по золотому составу Uriah Heep. Хотя Ян Андерсон на флейте хорош, как всегда.
Gary thain wrote this. Saw them in 1974
