Do you use any vegan products? Comment them below! :)
ILLAMASQUA
Elf, Barry M and B makeup from Superdrug uk
Refinery29 i prefer vegan cruelty free natural organic products and stay away from harmful ingredients causing acne oily flaky uneven tone🤗😚
Black Moon Cosmetics, Necromancy Cosmetica, Lunatick Cosmetics, Fyrinnae, Mother Bear's Hand Made, Au Naturale, Root, and Silk Naturals are all awesome brands :) All of those except Silk Naturals are 100% vegan, too (and Silk Naturals is probably about 95% vegan, with lots of dupes for convential high-end makeup). Maybe you guys could make a video that's a full face of indie vegan and/or cruelty-free makeup?
jsc is like the only 100% vegan brand i have bought from which is kinda embarrassing
Mi, I just want to say that a REALLY appreciate you doing videos on cruelty free and vegan makeup, I really think we need to shed light on this topic!!!
Aww thank you so much Carrie!
Thank you for replying!!
Didn’t expect to but the cheap side is actually my favorite
same
A note about e.l.f.! all their cosmetics are vegan but not all their skincare is! Be aware!
+madelinerodriguez Thanks for sharing!
I wouldn’t have known that so thank you!!
Hate to say if but if youre going to go with vegan makeup why not source the product in the united states...e.l.f may be vegan but their shit is manufactured in sweatshops somewhere in china
I suppose im confused with the ethics
Josie McNamara wow didn’t know that.
I hardly consider Pixi to be a drugstore brand anymore considering their ridiculously high price here in Canada. Love their Glow Tonic toner but seriously; $20 for a mini and $38 for the full size. Yikes.
22 for a powder doesn't seem drugstore to me.
completely agreed, even in the us it seems to expensive to be drugstore 🙄
Yeah I thought I didn't see correctly
Wet N Wild also has some great vegan products, listed on their site, and NYX just came out with a vegan list that's available on Logical Harmony :) The elf mad for matte palettes are some of my fav vegan drugstore palettes for the price
+zimm Good suggestions! :)
I consider wet n wild no longer fully cruelty free because they sell in China. Google it.
I could tell the high end side because of the CT eyeshadow, such a stunning shade
Im working on switching completely to vegan makeup and skincare! I suggest the tarte mascaras for a high end option
Love the video! It helped me a lot! I do so love e.l.f. products.. And super glad they are vegan! Thank you! 💙
The "sheer" E.L.F. eyeshadow primer works way better than the pearl one in my experience. The pearl doesn't want to dry down for some reason.
weehawk thats most likly because in order to stay shimery it stays wet/glossy
Omg Mi-Anne.. your hair srsly just keeps getting prettier and prettier! I’m in love! 😍
+gracelim #hairgoals
awww THANK YOU!!!!
Please do more videos about vegan makeup. I really like Beauty With Mi! Maybe you can share us your favorite drugstore vegan makeup and why.
+putricahayapurnama Noted! Thanks for watching!
I love this look! The lip colours are beautiful too!
I have definitely 3 phases of wearing makeup that all happen within the same day:
1. Fresh very clearly makeup
2. Mixes with my oils, natural look
3. Oils take over and I’m a shiny melty mess 😂
But also like, I love Mi-Anne I watch AAAALL of her vids but such a change in tone when talking about the expensive vs. drugstore makeup, like so much shade at the drugstore makeup😕🙁
Oooof the low end powder is much more than I would ever spend in a drugstore
Loveee the hair color!!
Thank you Mi! It was one of my new years resolutions to be a completely vegan beauty guru. My favorite vegan product is definitely the Pacifica dream big mascara, it's a must have!
+bellainman That's a great goal!
Ooh i want to try that! love the pacifica products I've tried so far! Thanks for watching
I really like the pink hair on you. This is more like you than your natural hair color!
Love Mondays 😍 I really love the color of your hair! It looks more pink than it was last time 🤩
It looks like it has high and low lights 😄
I guessed right! I knew straight away because the high-end eyeshadow looked better :D
Thank you so much for this, loved it!! 🥰 Also, I own that same shade of Colorpop lipstick lol!
Yay, for vegan and cruelty-free beauty! ❤❤
Love this post! Two of my favourite vegan mascaras are Sappho and Elate Cosmetics. Amazing!
+dianepancel-pierce Thanks for tips! :)
I used the elf foundation and the glamour dolls bronzer! I love your guys channel and I love you Mi!!!!❤️
+duhitsnicole2 Thanks for hanging with us!!
Loved this thank you!
Love the finishing look of eyes makeup on high end side of face but the face makeup and lipstick is better on the drugstore side 😍
I love it when you do like more cruelty free/vegan or ‘natural’ makeup brands!!! Thanks! 💛
_evaleupen Stay tuned for more!
Thank you so much for this video!!
I’ll subscribe because you perfected the captions!
Your skin looks so amazing
I thought the opposite as well! Both sides look fabulous!
Mi! For the drugstore setting powder, please please please try Cory Airspun Loose Face Powder! They sell it at drugstores (I got mine at Walgreens) and it’s AMAZING. It compares to the high end and there’s many beauty gurus that use that for setting powder! Hope you try it!
What nail polish are you wearing?? Love it!!! Love the whole look too, btw, you're awesome
Omg. Your hair is goals.
I think both sides look great!
This video is really helpful because since I went vegan is has been very hard for me to buy makeup and even more so because I live in Chile and there aren't that many options around here and what we do get is really expensive, so I'm always looking for new options. Thank you!
+lyvalenzuela Yay! Happy to help!
Would love to see this with more widely available products
At first, the drugstore side look better but at the end of the day, I like how the high end side look compared to the drugstore. Can you do videos on face primer and setting spray next?
that's a great idea! Thanks for the suggestion and for watching ofc :)
Mi-Anne Chan Thank YOU for making this awesome content!
Beautiful!!
New sub! Love your personality!!
Can I ask where your compact mirror is from? It’s the perfect size mirror I’ve been looking for everywhere! Would help a ton, thank you ☺️
Nude & Noir - Vegan. Definitely do a tutorial with their products, if you can :D xoxo
I just luv every video u make ..
But wic 1 do u prefer d most drug store or high end ?
Where did you get your gorgeous rainbow handled brushes? I need them! 😍
This is awesome! I struggle with finding good vegan beauty products. PS your glamour dolls link isn't working ... thought you'd wanna know :)
I panicked when you said you couldn't get your hands on a vegan high end mascara because I thought it meant I've been screwing up by using too faced better than sex mascara but nope! Too faced better than sex is vegan.
Not at all! I just wasn't able to grab one before we started shooting :( And yes! Better Than Sex is a great option!
I fr thought the same thing and started doing all this research
Sure do!
but too faced is owned by estee lauder.. estee lauder tests on animals
I'm the kind of vegan that tries to support the good things from not so good parent companies to show that there is value to doing the good things. If a fast food restaurant makes a veggie burger, I'll eat that burger rather than boycotting them for serving meat and showing that my money has no value to them either way. Hopefully as people increasingly prioritize cruelty-free products companies will realize that they have the most to gain by being cruelty-free :)
From the beginning of the video to the end, I preferred the sheen of the Colourpop eyeshadow to the glitter of the CT one. I would enjoy seeing you do some monochromatic looks, but more than one in a single video in order to compare.
+megcollins Thanks for sharing and watching!!
Meg Collins yup
I like the eyes. Very pretty without being too over the top.
holy guacamole your so pretty!!!🥑😍🤩❤️
First of all can I just say, your nails are FreAkiNg adORabLE.
vegan makeup is actually the only makeup i wear! i have been a vegan for a year and a half and i love it!!!
+laylah. That's awesome!
I bought new makeup yesterday I bought some elf eyeshadow and contouring palette and I bought some covergirl lipstick and bought some Maybelline New York powder and foundation whole bunch it was time for me to buy a newand I bought myself a lemon juicer I've been drinking lemon water every morning every night and inline water to some people probably wouldn't like it is quite shower reminds me of a sour head lol lime is so good for you and have a new makeup on your face keeps you from getting pimples keep from getting bacteria it's really good to change up your makeup every once in awhile and I really love your pink hair it's really pretty 😊 looks good on you 😊
Yeees, I LOVE THAT YOU USE VEGAN/CRUELTY FREE PRODUCTS! Makeup gurus should learn from you! Just suscribed! P.S: You’re GORGEOUS!
Hello!!! First, i love your videos! Ok, my guess is that you have high-end on your left eye (right side screen). You did an amazing job matching them
+silverfoxy Thanks for hanging out with us!
What nail polish is that she wearing!? 😍
Your so pretty and i love ur new hair💞
Aww thank you!
Mi-Anne Chan me too
Your so cute and so informative!!!😍
I don’t even think they look different now ik what to get for cheep and vegan thank you very much 😀😀
As I'm starting the video, I'm guessing your left side is high end. It looks better, the shadow is is more pigmented and the foundation looks smoother.
Would you share the brushes you used in the video? Thank you!
Thanks for the video! I can't believe how challenging it can be to find GOOD vegan makeup. As for high-end mascara, get your hands on some Caution Extreme Lash Mascara from Hourglass. I was skeptical because it's not waterproof but after wearing it all day yesterday without any smudging at all, I'm nearly convinced. I say "nearly" because I haven't subjected it to the sobbing uncontrollably test yet, lol.
Christina Miller don’t use waterproof
Body Shop and Lush have some great vegan makeup!
Good experiment 😊
Maybe use Lush or indie brands
They tend to have complete vegan products
Starfire cosmetics has really nice and pigmented products and they’re vegan and cruelty free
Lush is vegtarian and 70% of their products are vegan but their make up is very limited ... mascara, eye liners, loose powder and high lighter
LUSH is in the process of discontinuing the vast majority of their makeup as of December 2017. Not sure what the future holds in store but it seems like they either didn't have much success with their makeup or are discontinuing it to gear up for something new in the future.
Tbh in the beginning when she asked us what side we thought was drugstore and what was high end I thought her right side was the high end! It looked so good, if not better than the high end! (At least to me lol 😉)
i wear that elf foundation every day! What else do you like from them?
Its so good!! I really like elf's matte lipsticks!
your nails are FreAkiNg adORabLE
love you Mi!!!!!♥️
+mariew
What does Mi-Anne have on her nails? I can't tell if it's a clear glitter polish or actual nail art over a coat of clear polish. Either way, super cute and I really loved this look!
Got it right!
I love your earrings mi-anne! Where are they from? 😍💗x
Please do zero waste makeup next!
The right side is High end💗
I love your hair wish I was bold enough to do something like this!
+maggiemeyers Give it a try!
Maggie Meyers how’d u do
Elf makeup is vegan and awesome! cheap, pretty and easy to find
I love your hair❤❤❤
do a video of full youtuber beauty products
Thank you for doing more cruelty free! 💜💜
+jessicaweirback You're so welcome!
Vegan doesn’t mean cruelty free...
I understand that... But the brands she used are.
I actually thought that the left side was high end too. Both look amazing though!
which concelear was better ?
Hey Mi-Anne, Could you recommend a primer for me? I have pretty normal skin but with some hyperpigmentation and redness. :-)
Cover FX blurring primer -- they have a few other primers as well. Give it a try! If you don't want to commit to the price, Sephora is great about giving little samples so you can try it out for a few days.
Olivia Treynor benefit
highend on right
Stop 🙀 I thought the right side was high end 🙀 I am shocked! 🙀💕
Can someone give me a list of full foundation drugstore products (foundation, setting powder, primer, setting spray, concealer, etc) that make your skin look like skin but flawless and not cakey?
lol this is late but i use the neutrogena skin hint which is very hydrating along with the maybelline fit me concealer and rimmel stay matte powder. i use the elf poreless putty primer and the wet n wild setting spray
Yas I love beauty love ur vids ❤️❤️❤️💕💕💕
I picked correctly for what side you did with both high end and drugstore. It was tough though, but I think the lips gave it away. :) Love these vids.
+thehelpfulassistant Thanks for hanging with us on Monday's!
The pigment strength of the eyeshadow gave it away for me. I'm a sucker for high-end eyeshadow (:
They like exactly the same I would buy the vegan make up even though I am not vegan
I subscribed to your channel and love it you should go to a Korean spa and Lucy should do 5 days of self care or 5 days of insta makeup🍕🍕
+goldie07171 She has done Self Care! ruclips.net/video/2iKJ-nkOkPU/видео.html
I liked the video, however, I would have liked to see a bigger variety of brands.
I will still love High end!👀💕
bansharee parmar same
great vid love u
+hannah_vlogs Thanks for hanging with us! :)
of course i love u guys
Thank you for watching, Hannah!
Was anyone else confused when she said she couldn’t find a high end vegan mascara but then suggested that we buy the smash box full exposure mascara?
Left! I use Vegan body wash, deo etc.
I actually also thought at the beginning of the video that the drugstore side was the high-end one lol
+anatorres LOL!
My t-zone is oily but the rest of my face is dry what foundation would you suggest me?
I don’t think just one foundation will work. You can try two separate ones, but it’s a hassle.
You could also just get a different primer for one portion of your face (mattifying for t zone if using a more moisturizing foundation or a hydrating primer for the rest of your face when using a matte foundation. Or both)
Same concept with face powder. (Mattifying for oily parts and hydrating for drier areas.)
I have a similar skin situation but my t zone isn’t very oily and the rest of my skin is normal with some areas with dry patches. I moisturize well and use a natural and dewy foundation for my whole face. Then I powder everywhere but use a lot more on the areas I am oily.
Love her
+nadjamegic We do ,too!
Cero waste makeup pls!! PLSSSSSSS!!
i think that the drugstore products are on the left side. and from my view its the left side but then when she said witch side they were on she said it as the right side. in my point of view its the left side.
just scrolled through all the comments hoping to find the name of her nail polish; please, someone help me out! it is so freakin cute!!
It would have been interesting for you to talk more about what makes these items vegan/not vegan - maybe the history of pigments that came from non-plant products- rather than just "this is a vegan product from____ but they're not a full vegan brand"
There's a lot of interesting arguments into cruelty free versus vegan. Also there are several organizations that provide "eats of approval" but I don't know how they get that.
Just a thought.
